Thanks for the video - have been looking to see how well a subcompact would handle one of these. Still seems like it has a rearward rake to it - would you recommend using a longer top link to get closer to vertical when engaged? Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Extending the top link did help. I did that later. It was still tough pulling when dropped all the way digging into soil that hadn’t been disturbed in years. I was pleased overall with the way the garden drained over the summer.
I have this implemented with a middle buster blade. Did not get the sibsoiler chjsel. I have a 50 he IH 444 diesel and am confident it will pull this version. My land in NE Washington mountains is hard packed and needs this proceedure. Are u Amish with that tractor?? Good info. Dandahermit
I hope so Dave. The garden, especially in that area was difficult to till deeply. The subsoiler was cutting 4-5 deeper than my tiller will till. I could tell I was in compacted ground by how hard the tractor was working. Hopefully I opened it up enough and deep enough for the water to drain down a little better. That’s the theory anyway. We shall see.
Thanks for watching. I’m sure it is but the subsoiler is built for sun compacts and these little tractors are built for these types of smaller implements. Plowing is even harder on the drives and there are videos of plowing big areas for long periods of times. I’ve been impressed what these sub compacts can do and the “abuse” they can take.
It’s not a lawn mower hydrostat. It’s a subcompact tractor, they can handle it. He was spinning, so he has not reached the relief valve limit yet. Add a little weight to hold down the spinning may help. I watched to see how a subcompact would handle a subsoiler. Thanks for posting.
You’re moving fast with that. I’d be kicking rocks for field goals at that speed
Same as I was thinking and also no diff lock.
Can anyone where tell me how deep does can this ripper goes?
Are you in high gear?

Thanks for watching. Nope, I’m not Amish…just live amongst them.
So what you did will help with the water drainage?

That's gotta be hard on the hydrostatic oil/fluid.
