Translation of the questions asked in Russian (the end of the video)
“Key Khamzat, in the first round you managed to successfully wrestle with Gilbert, but later on you did not really try to take him down, why is that? Did you feel any kind of threat or your coaches set a particular goal?
    - “No, there was no threat for me. The initial plan was to show him some wrestling and my strength in that department so would second guess himself and allow me to beat him up easier. All in all, I wasn’t in danger.
    - “You dropped him with the jab first, why do you think you couldn’t finish him after that and how close do you feel you were to doing that?
    - “I don’t know, I don’t even remember how close I was. I recall that I dropped him and wanted to go for a finish, but then I figured that he starts swinging and I couldn’t find the target properly, that’s why I thought of allowing him to stand up and try to knock him down (out) again. It is what it is (about how it eventually went down).
    - “What about your interaction with Gilbert’s children, did it happen before the fight and what (how) happened?
    - Yeah, I met them in the hotel the day before the fight. I went down to the lobby and they were passing by and said:” oh it’s you who fights our daddy”. I was like: “oh shit, I am not really willing to see (somebody’s) children right before the fight, you know, think about his (Gilbert’s) family. I am an emotional guy and it’s hard for me to see kids at fights. I would never bring my own children to (see) fights.

He took some killer shots from burns and showed us his metal. I cant wait till that one guy comes along and beats him if nothing more than making him show how much he really does care. I think it is really just how his English translates. He, chimaev, has such a smooth game especially in his transitioning. His problem was that he didn't listen to his coach. If he had listened, he would have thrown himself more into wrestling and controlled things after the first round. From there, he could have played Khabib style, just stayed on top of his opponent, and won at the end of round 3 just because he controlled the match, and no one would have had anything to comment on. Khamzat didn't want that, he wanted to take the whole fight standing, because he underestimated Gilbert, and wanted to prove that he's not like Khabib, and that he can stand vs such monsters without fear..

In case anyone was wondering at the Russian interview question at the end:
"I saw his kids at the lobby and they asked if I was fighting their daddy, and I thought 'oof, i don't need to see his kids right now..'. You know, I'm a pretty emotional guy, so it's really hard for me to see kids at fights/in war. I don't like to see kids before the fight, or making me think about his family before our fight. Personally I would never in my life bring my kids to a fight. Thank you"
That was his answer. It was cool to see that it seems that little kids/innocent children completely kills his killer instinct and he hates that because he FIGHTS and wins with that killer instinct. But he has a very soft spot for kids so he tries to just block it out and not emotionally upset him.
Guy is a monster but his core is very kind and thoughtful.
This is how a man should be. Fight like hell but always protect the peaceful and innocent.
