Apparently Sam never got around to modernizing the meat locker. In the final season, Bobby and Oliver locked Sam and his landlord in the meat locker to keep them away from Mike, who were all spies.
Barney Heffner owns a meat shop! LOL! I have 2 laugh knowing that at that time Allan Melvin played Sam the Butcher on Brady Bunch and Barney Heffner on All In The Family
There's a surprising amount of near-death experiences on the Brady bunch: getting locked in a meat locker, getting locked in a ghost town jail 20 miles from the main road, Greg nearly drowning in Hawaii, the boys being kidnapped and tied up by Vincent Price, Bobby and Cindy getting lost in the wilderness. Some pretty shaky parenting if you ask me.
You left out Bobby falling from the tree; Peter saving the girl from the falling toy display case; Bobby's near drowning in the laundry room; Marcia's football to the face; Mike's slip-n-fall in the kitchen; and Carol's rear-end collision. And, in real life, the camera flying off its mount on the King's Island roller coaster. Fortunately, Robert Reed forced the crew to test the mount before the kids got on the roller coaster for the shoot.

I haven't seen this episode in years. Lol. It's so cool! This was before the days of the anti lock doors were you can just open the door from the inside😁 And yes the meat props definitely look fake when I look closely

He said in another episode customers kept asking to use the phone, so he had the payphone installed, giving Alice the idea to have Mike and Carol install ones in the house for the kids.
So many TV shows did a "locked in the freezer" episode. Lucy did it first. I know Three's Company had an episode like that too. Can anyone think of any other TV shows that did an episode like that? I'm sure there's more, but I just can't think of them right now.
Not exactly freezers, but the following episodes come to mind: Family Guy- Brian and Stewie trapped in a bank vault....All In the Family...Mike and Archie locked in storeroom...Gilligan's Island...Gilligan locks everyone in jail....Happy Days: Richie and the gang get locked in the hardware store's basement vault
@@sylviaisgod6947 You're right. It''s not always a freezer, but lot of shows had episodes with people locked up in one way or another. Touch tone phones existed back then but they were still new and had yet to become popular with the public. At that time they were mainly just used in offices and other commercial settings.
The acting was really good. It's convincing the way Greg grabs Bobby and turns him around, after he locked the door.
