Simultaneous use of the MVF-2 and CCM-1 on ALEXA 35 requires SUP 1.2.1, which will be available after first customer shipment of the CCM-1.

For sure! The MAC-1 gives me monitor mount envy. Arri is very diligent at thinking thru field use scenarios when building out new bits and bobs
Looks like a great monitor! Would be cool to see the monitor connect with the LBUS or Serial port on the back of my Hi-5, so I could wirelessly use the functionality of the monitor like that.
That would be cool, but we have no plans for wireless functionality with the CCM-1 at this time. Thanks for the suggestion!

As a gimbal operator, I really want this. But you need a very flexible VF cable for this to work. Please make one!!!!!
Hey Casey, because the VF cable needs to transmit video, power and data, it's not possible to make it as thin as a lightweight SDI cable unfortunately!
Does the EL Zone work any differently on this monitor than on a regular SmallHD since its tapped directly into the Alexa's boards?
Also curious, hoping camera manufactures start integrating this functionality with other EL Zone products.

How similair is the new anti twist 1/4-20 arri standard vs the smallhd standard?
Hey John, the two standards are different and not compatible. The MAC-1 and VFA-4 both include the inserts to support both standards.

Anyone know how to change the settings of the user buttons he mentions at the end? I can change what the buttons do but want to change the intensity of said button (I.e more intense peaking) and can’t figure out how to do that.
Hey Matt, the user button will toggle the peaking option on and off, to change the settings you'll need to go into the Menu. It's Menu > Monitoring > Peaking. There are different options depending on if you're using the VF connection or SDI.
FYI. You CAN NOT connect to change settings or power with VF cable connector yet if you are shooting on the Mini LF. You can still connect using an SDI cable and a power cord (just like any small HD monitor) but Can Not control your Arri and use the VF cable till they update the firmware.
Hey there, that is correct, as mentioned in this video the CCM-1 is only supported on ALEXA Mini LF with an upcoming firmware update, which should be released this month.
Any chance this will have focus ring overlays for the Hi-5?
Hey Donald, cool idea, but that's not planned at the moment.
Does ARRI have the d-tap to Fischer cable that will work with the micro plates like the bebob @6:50 and the CCM-1.
Hey Derek, yes it's the K2.0002668 Cable D-Tap - RS/PWR IN (0.5m/1.6ft). However, you might like to source a shorter one for this specific application.
Will this be compatible with Alexa Mini further down the line?

At the moment menu control is only available through the VF connector.

Nice monitor! What about wireless options? It could be possible to control the camera wireless using this monitor like a 1st AC monitor with the Hi5? Or the only way to remove from camera will be using the 10m long cable in car mount situations like you said? Thanks in advance.
Hey there, there's no wireless control support for the CCM-1, it must be connected with the VF connector for full camera control. Wireless control options include the Hi-5 and Camera Companion App over wifi.
I've bought this monitor, camera and monitor on latest firmware. It's only letting me use EVF or Monitor for camera control not both and if I have both on there is no picture on EVF screen.
Hey Pete, the ALEXA 35 doesn't support dual use of the MVF-2 and CCM-1 at the moment, that will come in a future firmware update. The only way to use both simultaneously is by having the CCM-1 connected with SDI and power, not VF, and ethernet if camera control is also required. When dual use is released the flip out display of the MVF-2 will only support showing the home screen and menu, not a live image.

@@petewade8160 If you're having issues with your Hi-5, please make sure you're in contact with service@arri.de and include relevant logfiles. Please make sure all devices in your system are up to date, we regularly encounter issues where lens motors or other components are significantly out of date: arri.com/sups
Will it support A/B side by side viewing for 2 different SDI sources a bit like the SmallHD 703 does?
Yes it will! And inputs are assignable to user buttons.

When will firmware be updated to use ccm-1 and mvf-2 simultaneously?
This feature will be included in ALEXA 35 SUP 1.2.1, which will be released soon

How tf do I get mine to work lol, updated to sup 1.2 and still says camera disconnected with an cap1 error continuously popping up
