Manny hitting a bomb and undoing his batting gloves before leaving the box is a whole vibe
absolutely pimped
@capacitance-rca1981 everybody was a roider in the time when Manny played
@@bigguyswagman4455 steroids made baseball better
capacitance-rca1981 there’s no way of knowing who was and wasn’t on PEDs. Some used them for years, some for a short time, some used a ton, some might’ve only used one type.
Imo the hall of fame is a collection of baseball history and it’s best players. A player should be judged mostly on the era he played in. There are fairly credible rumors steroid use dates back to the 50s and 60s. Not to mention uppers, greenies, amphetamines, cocaine, etc. the list goes on over the decades.
Put in the best of each era and leave it at that. Manny, bonds, Clemens, they all should be in.
capacitance-rca1981 your so called “roiders” weren’t just home run hitters. How many guys took them and went from fringe players to everyday roster players? How many guys went from 5 hr guys to 20 hr guys? How many guys went from 15 doubles to 40 doubles? Not to mention pitchers were doing them as well. How do u account for them? Bottom line is you can’t. Baseball turned a blind eye.
Sure we don’t think jeter used them, but who’s to say he or another “non user” didn’t ever take HGH or something else to avoid injury or recover faster? That’s a PED as well.
Put an asterisk in the record books I guess if it helps you sleep better, but there’s no way you can fairly tell me each and every player that did or didn’t use them.
Papi + Manny was the most terrifying 3/4 combo the world has ever seen.
Facts!
Ruth and Gehrig was probably more terrifying
Canseco/McGwire in the late 80s was terrifying too
When they also had Damon I legit feared Damon whom I believe was leadoff n Nomar
Thome > Ortiz
Manny's one of the most exciting players of all time no doubt about it.
Lol it all seems to add up nicely doesn’t it 😂
"It Ends Tonight", loses last 3 games.
Great eyesight there, Cleveland.
Nice profile pic. I hope he gets his own game. Also shit like that is why Cleveland keeps taking Ls.
That clip of Manny rubbing Tavarez' head had me dying. What a bro.
Mannys still playing baseball but in Japan
Him taking a whiz in the green monster 😂😂😂
Born and raised 20 minutes from Boston. Life time red Sox fan.
Manny is the greatest hitter of my generation and my favorite player of all time. I feel privileged to have witnessed his career. Just as much as watching Tom Brady my whole life. Manny was that good
My Man giving MVP Baseball 05 love! Was playing it as I was watching!
I know Mvp is so good.
I still got this game in great condition.
My favorite Manny moment was Manny Bobble head night playing with the Dodgers in 2009, was benched the whole game, bases loaded, off the bench and hits a grand slam.
I’m a Yankees fan but these two videos were so damn entertaining. Love this channel and Manny. You da best SRS!
If we signed manny you think Boston curse still alive ?
@michaelcatalano6208 no I'm sure they would've got miggy
Ahh, I remember Manny and Pedro. Good time to be a teenager in Massachusetts.
I'm going to need the dodgers years ASAP loll.... My favorite player of all time
He hit a lot with the Dodgers
Forgot about Manny snagging that cutoff throw from Damon. One of the most athletic things I've ever seen him do.
Thank you for making this Manny was my favorite player growing up and I have so much nostalgia watching these old clips.
“Will the pain and suffering ever end?” 💀
If Bonds somehow makes the HOF, then Manny needs to make it.
both should be in there so should clemens.
300 WINS
2:04 we just not gonna acknowledge that that was robbed lol
nah
THE BEST NOTIFICATION I COULD HAVE GOTTEN
For real !
no one on this planet could count how many notis i would have if i had them on from all my subscriptions from 7 years ago
The double play where he runs up and gives a fan a high five was sweet
Dude i remember those red sox teams from 03 to like 06....jesus they were dominant and ne being a sox fan loved every minute of it. Manny was my hero growing up lol. Dude was just so damn conistent for a decade. Its unreal
"Enrique Wilson's back; bro; just the off-handed way that you said that.
The Manny swing: Effortless All of the precise angles. Monster.
I loved watching him hit more than any other right handed batter in history.
Loved these videos... I was in the Marines 2004-2009 and every day we would go to the chow hall and whenever Manny came on sportscenter everyone was paying attention. So much fun to see his shenanigans, even though he may not be on your team you loved watching him.
Pinch hit Grand Slam on his bobble head night was one of his best highlights as a dodger! Can’t wait for pt 3!!!
I havent said it yet in this video, my FAVORITE player. Love this video, Manny is the best.
MVP baseball 2005 was so great, that I've bought it 3 separate times, and still enjoy it like it first came out.
These are my favourite years of baseball. Nothing better than those Red Sox teams for me.
This is great. I hated the Red Sox as a Yankee fan but I was always wowed by Manny Ramirez great talent.
I know for a fact NESN did a show back in the day around 07 or 08 called manny being manny, would be great to see clips from that in the next episodes
Dude...MVP Baseball 05 and The Show 16 are 2 of the best games ever created.
They’re perfect baseball games imo.
I haven’t played 21 yet.
To be fair to Manny, Damon's throw wasn't going to make it very far.
(
Never understood why teams kept sticking that dude in center field.
@@briangarcia5567 Because there's less need for an arm and more of a need for speed.
@@daddyskaddy94 I want a centerfielder that can reach the infield, just my .02 lol
@@daddyskaddy94 And I also loved Johnny, just preferred him as a lf/dh type.
@@briangarcia5567 I feel you.
He's my favorite player of all time so I get defensive 🤣
the fact this was broken up into 4 vids shows how much manny manny was
Cant wait too see more! Loved the first episode. Got my lunch, and watching this video, great time.
Manny was just so much fun to watch, and I'm a diehard Yankees fan but first I'm Dominican.
Easily the best hitter I've ever seen in my lifetime . Manny was next level. The guy could do whatever TF he wanted at anytime, magnified by his postseason stats. Not only do his stats support the argument but his swing alone was the best of all time, and yes I hear you Griffey...
I haven't been this excited for a part 2 on UA-cam in a long time
Gosh, as a Yankee fan this series is killing me. 😫
I’m 32 grew up watching Manny superb Video
i still have mvp baseball 2005 such an amazing game
4 days in October was one of the best documentaries in baseball
Fun fact, I was in Boston, and decided to take in a Red Sox game. Little did I know I just watched Manny play his last game in Fenway. About two hours after the game was over Manny was traded.
I played 06 the show so damn much. When I was watching the clip at the beginning I could still recite "and when it comes down, it's gonna be a home run" perfectly even after not playing for about 10 years ahaha!
This was awesome, Manny was a great hitter from the time he played in Youth Service in Brooklyn and for George Washington HS. He certainly was a character.
was a pleasure to watch this mans career.
I can't thank you enough for including the running catch-fan hi five-double play against Baltimore. Easily top 5 Manny moment.
I applaud you sir. You captured manny well in his time in Boston. I had flash back when he first put on a Red Sox uniform. Thank you 🙏
As a yankees fan 2004 is still painful for me. Between this and watching my giants losing in the miracle at the medowlands 2 still hurt.
That game was the best baseball video game ever. Period.
Manny’s Being Manny 🔥
he really complained there was no sushi LMFAOOOO
2001 through 2003 Red Sox: As a fan, Manny and Pedro were the 2 guys that drove us nuts with their off field antics. 2004 comes....OK it was worth it. (Though I wonder if Pedro still takes the month of March off for his uncle's birthday..?)
Goddamn. You saying one of the first games you owned was '06: The Show makes me feel old. I used to play Triple Play, High Heat, All-Star, etc.
“there’s the throw from Damon... that Meany cuts awf!”
I'm a Rays fan going years back. And as entertaining as it was facing Manny 18 times a year, I was glad to see him leave the AL East.
My fave player of all time
Just a great video on manny 👍🏽
Man Manny was in the MVP baseball 2005, best baseball game ever
I sometimes think about a trade proposal I read about in the newspaper somewhere around either 2010 summer or 2011 summer. It was Tim Lincecum for Jacoby Ellsbury.
Ofc Timmy was Timmy, and SF doesn’t have a World Series without Timmy on the roster. But they also had weird outfields over perform inconsistently. Andres Torres becoming a near All -Star for a year and a half. Squeezing the last drops out of Pat Burrell. Getting Cody Ross for chump change(who had a pretty good season with Boston in 2012 that made me so happy). Then there was Angel Pagan, whose health dictated the Giants’ W/L records until 2015. Melky Cabrera had the 2012 batting title via the Tony Gwynn rule, but refused so MVPosey wound be winner by default.
Hunter Pence was Mr. Hustle but we only got one game with Melky/Pagan/Pence, Panda/Craw/Scutaro/Belt/Posey before Melky’s PED suspension made Gregor Blanco a starter again. Blanco was arguably the best 4th outfielder of the 2010’s due to his reliability with SF.
They’ve since experimented with the likes of Gorkys Hernandez, Dennard Span, Kevin Pillar, Steven Duggar and Mauracio Dubon before finally throwing Yaz in CF and ending the search.
Though I wonder if they win more games in the 2010’s if Timmy’s 4.50+ ERA was replaced with Ellsbury. Pagan likely would’ve been a great defensive left fielder, and probably would’ve stayed healthy during a time where he was an elite spark plug(this guy would tear his hammy on inside the park homers after leading the league in triples).
These are great video. Well done. Manny was the best
Love the vid. Completely unrelated from the content but i have a note, the red outline on your thumbnail makes me think I've watched the video already because that's what color the watch history line is. Thats all. Keep it up
Thanks for Mentoining Mvp 05 it's a damn good game.
That’ baseball was absolutely DESTROYED!
Those were some fun years in Boston!!!
Never realized just how quick Mannys bat was and almost ALWAYS it wasn't the cheap part of the bat either!!
Just watched part one. Dont think Ive ever hit ‘next video’ faster... and im a Mets fan
I had no idea that there may be a Part 3.....I thought Part 2 was completing the Manny saga but apparently not,...... AND I FU***NG LOVE IT BABY!!!! Awesome vid bro! Can't wait for Part 3!!
Was on a UA-cam binge and came across the first video.. very well done! Do another baseball player! Love the video
MLB 06 the show was incredible I owned about 6 copy’s of that game my dad loved that game a lot
That Jon Miller call of BOS-OAK is amazing
Big series hype
Been waiting all morning!
I remember one game where the camera zoomed in on Curt Schilling sitting in the dugout poring over his notebook of batters. Manny was sitting next to him, looked at him, then looked at the camera and just waved his hands like "that stuff is useless" and kept on doing it. Schilling, with no clue what was going on, looked up, looked at the camera, then looked a Manny, who played it all innocent and patted him on the back. Funniest dugout moment I ever saw. Wish there was a clip of it.
I was at his first game in Fenway as a red Sox player, and he hit a homer. I met his son the other day. Small world
It kind of weird to hear as a giants fan to hear Jon Miller an Dave Flemiming broadcasting a Red Sox game. But when I was playing baseball my coach trained me how to stand like Louis Gonzalez an hit like Manny Ramirez.
That sock in the HOF that Schilling wore? It's from Game 2 of the WS when the Sox beat the Cards at Fenway. Schill threw away the bloody sock from Game 6 because it was a bloody sock.
The quality of this and the detail is amazing great video.
Great video, and i just wanna throw out an unpopular opinion here....Joe Buck has some great calls
I still set an alarm every day for 6 AM and play for two hours before work
Cleveland: “It Ends Tonight.”
Red Sox: It became personal.
Homer against LAA in 2007 is best picture in sports history
I miss Manny so much! That 04 team was so fun!
Man you missed MVP Baseball 2005 by one year, the greatest baseball video game of all time. And Manny was on the Cover!
Edit: I made this comment before watching the whole video, you literally mention this towards the end lmao
5:34 I have no doubt that if they pricked C the Red Sox's would have won the world series.
Same with D. I think the yankees would have forfeited
I’m ready for part 3 already loved him on the White Sox even though he wasn’t there long
“When you don’t feel good and you still get hits, that’s when you know you are a bad man” -Manny ‘07
That 501 homerun off the light tower 100% went further than that. My dad has been watching the Redsox since about 1965 and he says that's the longest ball he's ever seen hit. I remember when that homerun was hit, someone said something like, "It'll be interesting to see the distance on that one... huh 501... yeah sure." Ted Williams hit one into right field that was 502, and they have that red seat out there in the stands. Apparently Ted said something along the lines of, "I don't see why they made a big deal about that one. I hit plenty longer." Anyway, unless a homer lands like obviously behind the red seat, they weren't going to say it was longer than 501. Can't beat Ted...
Can't wait for Manny was Manny (Pt 3)- Mannywood
6:15 I LOVE this part of baseball in particular. Tell a pinch hitter “just keep it alive, get on 1st, and keep the line moving.” and homie goes out there and hits an extra innings BOMB out of the park. Then that VERY same guy, riding high after playoff bombs probably decided he’d go home in the off-season and have a block party BBQ where he dunks on the dreams of local young hoopers and the pride of old heads. Gets injured, then replaced by AROD!!
My pure hatred for the Yankees caused me to watch the entire ALCS and World Series that year. In my 41 years on earth, I've never seen anything like it (besides maybe the birth of my son lmao). Truly amazing.
Manny is one of the greatest Red Sox ever and idc about the antics
Is the 2004 playoffs so long ago that the red Sox Yankees series requires in depth explanation? That series was the best playoff series of the decade.
Us Yankees fans love the Sterling and Steiner calls of the Posada double and the Boone homer
I still play MVP Baseball 2005 to this day.
I always love Manny when he was on the Red Sox
Bro I love the content
Manny actually saved Johnny Damon so much embarrassment from his throw by cutting it off. It was well known that Damon threw like a girl
Love the video but I'd be pretty pissed two if I was that good for so long for the Sox and the traveling secretary couldn't get me 16 tickets 🤣
Love the clips using Castiglione's calls!
Not the lost clip😭😭😭 2004 was LEGENDARY
The old “Show” games were good, but MVP Baseball 04 and 05 is where it’s at tho
12:34 I love baseball as much as the next guy watching these videos but... lol...
