Watch the video I made on how to make it more trial friendly. I quite enjoyed it with the mods I did to it. But ended up selling it and getting a WR250 and LOVED that bike for enduro. Planning on getting another one sometime in the future.
I em waiting for the New model and i wana ask you as an yz450f owner...is it realy that Bad în the woods mud and rocks as some ppl say because i like the bike but i realy need some thats going Strong
Just made a video on my top mods to turn a YZ into a trail bike. The only thing I’d add for a newer bike with fuel injection is to search forums for fuel mapping. That’s way out of my wheelhouse since I have a carb.
I have one sitting in my garage waiting to be installed, just haven’t gotten around to putting it in. I’m hoping it’ll be a noticeable difference, I really don’t wanna drop $700+ on a Rekluse
Figured I’d follow up, I installed the flywheel weight and just riding around the neighborhood I noticed a huge difference in lug-ability. I think it’s going to make a big difference on the trails. Just gotta find time to go ride!
Such a difficult bike to ride enduro... I have one too 😢

I have a tip for you, get yourself a proper body position, and put more gas... Carry more momentum

No it's not. It actually is very good in the woods and tight trails/track if your suspension and mapping is set up.
Get off your seat stand forward going up those hills. Weight the pegs and you'll make up those hills easier.
did you put a flywheel weight on that thing? i have the same bike and it really helped me out to prevent stalling and make the bike more manageable
