Have you doubled the thread in the red overshot throw? I thought I caught a glimpse of two threads, and is it the 10/2 cotton size you used in the warp? Also has the doubled thread caused you problems unrolling from the bobbin, I never seem to get the same tension on each thread when I double the thread on a bobbin. Love the pattern, thank you for putting this video up.
Yes, he has doubled the red thread to make the pattern more visible and the yellow thread is plain weave so that the weave structure is even. And I don't know why he would use a one bobbin boat shuttle instead of a two bobbin one since double boat shuttles keep better tension for two threads.
Where do you source your supplies? I've been exploring the Green Bay / Marinette area. A couple of nice yarn shops focused on knitting and crochet. Weaving? Thank you for the post showing overshot weaving.
Yeah, there's not many weaving stores around but there's a ton of places you can get weaving supplies online. For weaving yarn, I recommend Yarn Barn of Kansas, they have a wide range of yarns both for weaving and knitting. Also, for weaving looms and supplies I recommend The Woolery since they have really good customer service.
Amazing job, beautiful!
