Xiaomi's Redmi 10C should be an upgrade to the Redmi 9C but it is a device closer to the Redmi Note 11 by virtue of its Snapdragon 680 processor. It is a budget device that comes at an entry level price point but gives much value in specifications. While it looks an interesting device, it lacks certain features which may or may not be of concern depending on your smartphone needs. This is a detailed review of the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 10C.

I bought the phone's Indian variant last week... Decent performance and super responsive touchscreen... No other brands provide snapdragon 680 chipset in this price, so the phone is totally value for money.

The only sacrifices I see there are the stereo speakers, cameras and 720p display. Seems like a powerful device

I just bought it. Really nice phone I must say. Charging time was not bad either, and from the little time I've used it, the battery 🔋 lasts well. Smooth scrolling. No issues so far.
Yea it actually supports 18watts charging, so you'll get faster charging if you have a fast charger

redmi 10c supports 18w fast charging. I have the device onhand and it has quick charge. You can use your own quick charge adapter as the included one is only 10w. I use 33w GaN adapter and it works perfectly

33w charger only charges at 18W
You're ruining your phone, you can't use a 33w charger as long as the phone doesn't support more than 18w.
@@shamansking6407 it does not ruin the phone. it will still only get 18w regardless of the max wattage of the adapter.
I bought the 10c 64GB today and so far I'm happy with it, great phone. Of course the display cannot compare to high end models, but for €139 I have no complaints, it is still good. The Gcam app seems to improve the camera a lot, I just did some night shots, wow... Thanks for the tip

@@pinkjackhorsepie7813 The phone yes, although I'm still not quite used to the position of the finger print sensor. The downloaded gcam app crashes a lot, but the default camera isn't really that bad either. I will keep gcam though because of the night shot ability and some other neat functions, like Google lens or the image stabilizer you can also apply to videos made with the default cam.

Considering the price point of this phone. It is not bad. If you want more. Go for the Redmi 10. That one is very well better with just a price difference of not more than ₦7k.
for budget this seems alright. Even my dad's old Redmi 4x still alive with SD430

I'm using this phone for 2 weeks now in gray colour, but mine has 6 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage, costed about 170€ with offer that you have monthly like 3 GB of internet, idk how many minutes to talk and unlimited wifi for certain app and unlimited minutes for calling people in your network so i think it's a great and affordable phone and i don't seem to have issues on it, i installed apps like cod mobile, Fortnite,shadow fight 2, Roblox (just for jjba games), and lot more games and it's working really smoothly, i recommend this phone to everyone looking for great affordable phone

This is better. A03s might have the software advantage though but this is a lot better in specifications

Great upgrade from 9c but the lowest end 10a still uses micro usb and helio G25, why not put the SD460 for the 10a.

Great review! I have one of these and you've hit it on the head - the cameras are my only real let down from previous more expensive phones... I'll look into GCAM now.

It's like matt. Actually it's unibody from the back to the frame. So same material as the back but not textured like the back

@@judekay815 What really matters is the processor (SD680). As long as there's a device on that list with the same processor, chances are that this phone will work with the app.

I'd like to share 2 remarks from my modest experience with using my Xiaomi Redmi 10C 64GB smartphone as a secondary mobile phone just to make voice calls and send / receive SMS text messages;
1- I frequently suffer from this device when I place it on my ear during a telephone conversation because my cheek mistakenly touches the Mute icon! I wonder is it possible to change the place of that mute icon on the screen?!
2- It happened twice (during the warranty period) that I found the device suddenly shutdown, and after I pressed the power button for a couple of seconds it took so long booting time but forced me to reset the device to the factory status, so I lost all of my saved data!
Well, after I set up the device for the third time I decided not to do any update, and not to connect it to Internet unless it is necessary.
