If you like architecture you should film in the downtown historic district in Ponce. Its has such an amazing variety of styles but mostly late 1800's neoclassic architecture and restaurants, hotels and museums in the historic district.
@@JenThereDoneThat You welcome and if you want a great view of the city go to El Vigía hill and also there (at El vigia)is a huge mansion there people call El castillo serralles that used to be the home of the family that own Don Q rum and now its a museum.
Jen we also have the black sand beaches in Mayaguez, beautiful and so different than the white sand on beaches around the island , thank you for featuring my beautiful hometown
You are did only lady in Puerto Rico where every body at. The island is all for u.im actually from mayaquez came to the state in 1968. But I vaca there I was at that plaza two year. My cuz father was an artist there in mayaquez there are pictures portrait of him in city hall.
A video of the Ponce Museum Of Art would be great but I would imagine that videos would not be allowed over security concerns. The art work is pretty impressive (Museo de Arte de Ponce).
Filming in art galleries is usually prohibited. I may be able to get some exterior coverage and just provide information. Similar to the Museo de Art in San Juan - jentheredonethat.com/museum-of-art-puerto-rico/
Both, the streets were not very full on the weekdays that I was filming (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the rain) and I tend to avoid getting people in my videos. Not everyone wants to be on UA-cam. Outside of San Juan, most towns are very crowded at all.
Mayagüez is a college town so all those bars and pubs get pretty crowded on Thursday night...specially since the legal drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18 years.
@@melfeliciano8449 omg so true, i went to visit family in 2018 and my daughter who had never been to PR met some college kids and hung out with them on the strip by the plaza, the bars were full of college kids, she had an amazing experience meeting new people and they were soooo welcoming, she is still in touch with them, the people are genuine and down to earth

Actually Mayaquez is pretty big Town.
Each town has more than the main town, so they are bigger, not only what you see...
I grew up in Mayaguez, left many years ago. It seems like they are restoring it to it's former glory.

San Juan gets all the glory, but there are other cities in Puerto Rico with beautiful architecture.
Exactly!
Every town in PR has lot to see. Lot of everything and history too.
You should check out the Plaza in San Sabastian , there is a historic Mansion on the plaza (open to public) and a museum across the street
Great tip, I will go check it out!
This was good you should do more of these type of videos. I am from Ponce.

I need to spend more time in San German, it is so beautiful!
Could you show a couple of the small coffee farms in Lares.
Definately! Many of the coffee plantations are still rediscovering from Hurricane Maria, it is nice to see their progress. Plus, I love coffee!

Gorgeous place great story in nayaguez in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷 ☺👍
I stayed here for about a week back in 1996. Question though, how come so few people around?
There are fewer people during the week, and I try to avoid filming people without their consent.
