You mention that the weather station should be no more than 6 feet off the ground, but the wind meter should be 33 feet. How would you go about installing something where all the instruments are in one?
This is a great question. It depends on preference. If I have a way to get the sensor that high, I'll do that. However, that comes with the risk of other measurements being less accurate (for example, temperature may read high due to reflected heat off your roof, etc). If you choose height, I recommend mounting it off the side of the house to limit that. Also, as I said, even getting it 10-20 feet off the ground will give you fairly accurate wind readings. If wind isn't that big of a deal in your location, I'd keep it on the ground though. Easier in the end to maintain, too.
