BROOO like a few runs ago, i had +1 bullets, and stout bullets. i'll get to why that's important toward the end. so, early in that one run, i think it was either the first or second chamber. i had gotten the rube adenyne mk. 2 or something, whichever one's better, and i was absolutely destroying bosses, it was that gun that ultimately aided me in finally overcoming the kill pillars! however, i went back to the shopkeep room, of which there was one of those munchers with the red light around it, and i ended up giving it ALL of my guns , down to the starting pistol. utterly in defeat, i went to the fifth chamber, of which, to my surprise, i was actually kicking ass with the starter pistol, thanks to the stout and +1 bullets! i eventually died, though. ( actually, now that i think about it, maybe the muncher was on the fifth floor?)
As an avid binding of isaac player that's clocked hundreds of hours into that game I'm happy to say that I'm finally playing one of the other best bullet hell like games out there it feels like a breath of fresh air coming from isaac. Thanks for the tips!

Great video! I learned a lot from it as I only knew about half of these tips. Me and my dad both love doing co-op and getting each other killed! You should definitely make a part 2! Edit: an idea is maybe you could do one for each floor teaching us the patterns and tips for bosses, enemies and more!
actually good tips 100% I remember trying to find tips a while back and a lot of it was just the secrets of the game but like thats cool and all but like not really a play tip. I member startin isaac and got tips like just stand still and move when you see the projectiles actually helped a whole bunch. This game has so many more things that shoots in front of where you're going which took a minute to figure out
Out of the starters he isn’t bad, and is very good for unlocking one of the special characters because of his second active item. His lock pick is bad, his weapon is garbage and he has nothing else to go off of. The marine has 1 armour to start, a decent starting weapon, accuracy and reload speed up and a free ammo drop. The hunter has a mediocre starting weapon as well as the crossbow which is pretty good early on. The dog means more items found in rooms so that’s pretty useful. The convict is kind of bad, her starting gun is bad, the shotgun she has is nothing outstanding and the damage up when hit won’t be useful for bosses because you want that master round. The Molotov is useful on the bright side.
Index 154 good point I should have added that, I do believe most explosion will open secret rooms, I know that the item explosive rounds work and this means you can use the starting pistol to open secret rooms
I just tried and it doesn't open the secret room. In fact, I tested every explosive item (I could find on the wiki) and only the Bomb and Lil' Bomber worked. Explosive rounds do allow you to see the cracks in the wall at least.
Dude, I've spent about 3 or four hours on the game with about 15 deaths racked up and I only JUST beat the 2nd boss for the 1st time. I've never gotten a flawless....
Ive beaten one past, I wouldnt call myself a beginner but I did learn a few things from this, those blank tips will help me for sure :) If you ever consider making a more advanced tip video, I got to the rat 3 times and died three times.
5 Years late. Thanks for the video. I just got the game and really struggle with just even getting to the first boss reliably. Those secret rooms are a tip that could help em a lot and i'll just have to focus on dodging. Maybe in another 50 runs i'll get it :P
IgneousEnderClaw no problem man, love this game and it's community, glad it growing. I also do a enter the gungeon playthrough on my channel that should help you see me put my tips to work
btw, i have a question about the NPC who looks like a squid and talks with unreadable symbols. i found him in the gungeon and talked to him but hes not at the breach. i looked it up and it said that i have to buy from him, but i haven't found him. is there something i have to do to trigger him appearing again? thanks.
IgneousEnderClaw I had the exact same thing happen to me on my playthrough, you just have to play the game until he appears in the gungeon, took me like 5 runs before I saw him
J T good to hear you liked it and learnt something, the game becomes so much more fun we you can start making regular progress. Perfect time to start playing with advanced gungeons and draguns coming out too, so much cool stuff
Rui Oliveira I will do, just waiting for AG&D to come out cause I know that is gonna change some things about the games mechanics and im almost finished with university so im waiting until thats done but once that stuff is done I'm gonna create a few more guides for various things so stick around :)
Rui Oliveira that's the aim, glad I helped you improve your gameplay, I know this game can be very difficult to start out with, first 20 hours can be hard
Lucas Awad still playing and experiencing the update my self, need to get 100% complete and I'm still gather and collecting tips, should hopefully be not too much longer
Also, the Sling (a brown tier gun) is very popular for its ability to kill bosses. Another brown gun that's much loved is Casey, which is baseball bat that can deal massive damage up close. Other than that, there aren't a lot of good D-tier guns......
Dynoqwerty first you view the weapon wheel and just equip two weapons you want to favourite, then once you tap the weapon switch button it should only swap between those two
By the way, it's possible to steal twice from an NPC, it's just that there's a much higher chance of getting caught. The Huntsman gives 2 curse, not one, as I remember.
although it is possible i just stated that its highly recommended to only steal once and also i just check the wiki for curse and huntsman is only +1 curse, ive linked the wiki in the description
Really? wow. Ok then. By the way, I believe that stealing with the Grappling Hook or the Directional Pad's grappling hook will always garauntee success, though it will also guarantee being caught (unless you leave the room while the stealing is taking place).
yes i knew this but thought that it wasnt worth mentioning in the video since anyone who want to know the items you can steal with will look on the wiki and that is stated there, still thanks as it helps anyone who reads your comment :)
The only thing I'll disagree with is the Marine being best I prefer the hunter makes the first 2 floors so easy and her pistol reloads faster than even the Marines use the bow twice and the pistol will be reloaded cyle between them for a super easy first 2 floors
Hey, thanks for the video it was very helpful and I enjoyed it. Could you just tell me again why you did not pick up the hearts that were left in the end of your example run? Cheers

Aged Bell Box Chaff Grenade Charm Horn Decoy Directional Pad Explosive Decoy Grappling Hook Grey Mauser Smoke Bomb Ring of Ethereal Form you can steal with all of these items.
PandaDBeast for me it's situational, if I finish the first floor with 2 keys or more left after opening the chests I want to then I will usually go but the secret floor is about equal difficulty to the 4th floor so if I still only have my starting gun/other d tier weapon then I will skip it as it could take too long or end up in me taking more damage than I would otherwise. Also if i have have a lot of casings I will make the trip if I can.
I really suck at this game and have no idea what im doing, thx for the guide it helped. The only other thing is that the only npc i got to unlock so far is a girl and a robot in the shop with guns for sell. But i buy them and they dont show up anywhere... what is this?
Glad it has helped you and the way that shop and all other shops in the breach work is that you buy items from them and then they appear randomly I'm the gungeon once bought
So i just got this game, and somethings I dont understand. There are alters and whatnot that usually are missing something? Also after I beat the first boss, i went to the 2nd floor and fell down the elevator and there was like, another room, with a bunch of wires and whatnot. Lastly, I heard there were secret rooms and whatnot, I encountered one early on because I had a water based weapon and hit a fireplace. I took it, and got teleported/fell into another are marked "???". I understand if it may be spoilers and whatnot, but again I literally bought this game like 4 hours ago lol. Overall thanks for the video, it actually was helpful and surprising (in a good way!)
The DesertPunk ok so I'll help as much as I can without spoilers, the alters are part of a secret in the game in which you need to go to the hidden floor using the fireplace you spoke of in floor 1 and take something from that floor to the alter, the elevator shaft will eventually have I guy inside it that will require you to bring him items to create elevator shortcuts.
There are several altars, some you can pray on for bonuses (but they increase your curse level, google that) and the other altar is only found in the 2nd chamber and needs and item from the Secret chamber of the 1st chamber.
Is there some reason you didn't pick up the various hearts you left behind on the ground? You can "Save For Later" them and get them for free from the shop later from a vending machine.
@@TheTurtleMelon true another thing is, you can reload while rolling by using the reload key during a roll instead of just clicking on the fire button again
Awesome thanks! If i find anything i'll ask ya. Just trying to beat Enter the Gungeon, Seeing if there were some things i was missing, didn't know about all of those hidden rooms so that helped me out a bit.
I once was chilling on floor 2 I had defeated the boss and opened both green chests on the floor and was left without any keys and was looking for the secret room, found it, it had a rainbow chest in it, MY FIRST GODDAMN RAINBOW CHEST!1!! >:( I ended up (although not willingly) I had to junk it, didn't even golden junk, I got a goddamn key from junking it......
Thanks, means a lot you hear that :) next video shouldn't be too much longer, I've just finished university now so just waiting for the new dlc to drop and I'll get on it, my plan for videos is to cover some more advanced and I'm depth things like the alters and then do a video on items, one on weapons and one on bosses
I have astupid question but i want to ask it because im new to the game. With witch button on your controler are you rolling? (I mean witch of the 2 you suggest me to use)
I have no idea if it’s true, or if I just beat bullet king too much, -But if you use your basic gun and only your basic gun, with no passive/active items, you get an item- -For now I know bullet king is Cat bullet king throne- Edit: you need to beat bullet king 10 times
Thanks a lot you really helped me for understanding the basics (secret rooms for example..) Ik have a question, why you didn't use the weapon you found to fight the boss?
because that weapon he got is really quite good, and he was trying to conserve ammo for a harder scenario later in the run. all of the first floor bosses are quite beatable with just the starting weapon of each character :)
Part 2 is coming in around a week actually and ag&d added around 30 new guns and items, a new boss, 3 new mini bosses, turbo mode, a ton of synergies between items have been added and lots of fixes to gameplay and loot
Can you ever change your starting guns and items before starting a run? Or do you always start with the same things and you upgrade throughout your run?
You always start with the same stuff and upgrade throughout, i have a 0 to 100% playthrough on my channel if you want to learn more about how to improve at the game
@@TheTurtleMelon I will definitely be checking that out. I am not doing well. I've never been good at games that bullets come at you in different patterns like this game. I get to chamber 2 and die before getting to the boss. But I was horrible at dead Cells now I'm better after practise. Thanks

I find that the pilot is the best character because his extra active item slot is amazingly useful and incredibly underrated
thats true but his starting weapon is sooooo awful it basically ruins him for me

How do you drop items(I'm on PC)
That was very helpful. I really like this game... I just not very good at it yet. Hopefully some of these tips will change that :)
glad you thought so, i do an enter the gungeon playthrough on my channel if you want more enter the gungeon content from me
This actually helped me, thanks! also how do i drop weapons on keyboard?
Thijs van den Heuvel I play controller so I'm not 100% sure, I'll check for you later when I'm at my PC, glad my video helped you :)
I can help you there, hold the F key to drop weapons!
Thanks, also, how do you drop the spacebar item?
hold g
Michael Lang thank you so much I was about to punch a hole in my screen
amazing video incredibly helpful, thanks a lot man!
Excellent guide/tips man definitely leaving a sub+like thank you
I think when you don't get hit by an enemy in a room the will drop money or some extra
If anyone doesn’t know, there’s a setting that allows you to sprint out of combat
What ? Can you explain more so i can understand please ?
@@lalmnwilew7871 Ok thank you very much for your explanation, have a good day ^^ !
Алан Тайбасов eh i’ve never fallen through because of it
Iliaso gamer the way it works is if you are in a cleared room it gives you a speed boost so you don’t have to spend pointless time walking
@@lalmnwilew7871 really helps in some certain trap rooms though
Is there some reason you didn't pick up the various hearts you left behind on the ground? You can "Save For Later" them and get them for free from the shop later from a vending machine.
this was made before ag&d
Ah... I just got the game, so I'm not familiar with the updates.
Yeah as someone else commented that feature wasn't in the game when I made this
Oh man that makes sense lol just started replaying because of the update.
a bit late to the party, but you could have added that interacting with the statue in the entrance room gives 1 curse
It doesnt give 1 curse, its sets your curse to 9
@@TheTurtleMelon true
another thing is, you can reload while rolling by using the reload key during a roll instead of just clicking on the fire button again
Great video my dude! Very helpful!
JtotheTProductions thanks, feel free to ask me any other questions you have or my Steam is TheTurtleMelon
Awesome thanks! If i find anything i'll ask ya.
Just trying to beat Enter the Gungeon, Seeing if there were some things i was missing, didn't know about all of those hidden rooms so that helped me out a bit.
JtotheTProductions yeah and this video was made before the reason advanced gungeons and draguns update, the secret rooms are even better now
like, im no expert at this, but i prefer them brown chests before blue, just cuz they can contain armor, key or health
Thats true but blue chest weapons are great and things such as silver bullets and cursed bullets are in blue chests
To clarify - version today has aim assist for beam type weapons as well (on/off option), as well few other thing, which I don't see in options here...
the beam aim assist was introduced with advanced gungeon and draguns, defiantly keep in on
This was pretty helpful. Thanks!
Timothy J glad to of helped
good video I came because I just bought this game for my Nintendo switch
Glad it helped, you bought the game at the best time with the new massive free update

Hey heads up, mimics will have an open mouth/ lip licking animation
I once was chilling on floor 2 I had defeated the boss and opened both green chests on the floor and was left without any keys and was looking for the secret room, found it, it had a rainbow chest in it, MY FIRST GODDAMN RAINBOW CHEST!1!! >:( I ended up (although not willingly) I had to junk it, didn't even golden junk, I got a goddamn key from junking it......
very sad
so fucking good video, hi from argentina, u are so fucking good, im waiting the next vid, i have problems with ''altars'' i think this is the word. ty

I just got this. I keep dying and have to restart. I’m so lost. This game is new to me
Anyone know how to dodge in the direction of your key press rather than where your crosshair is on pc? Or is this a controller only feature/mechanic
Anthony Nguyen I think that if you just press roll in the direction your moving it should roll that way
Commenting for the algorithm
Thanks
thank you that's gona help a lot
no worries
When no hitting the boss on coop does only player 1 have to avoid taking damage or player 1 and 2?
Both sadly
Excellent video
Leodhass thanks, try out my new gungeon videos one just came around 10 minutes ago
TheTurtleMelon will do
ty for this. much appreciated.

I have astupid question but i want to ask it because im new to the game.
With witch button on your controler are you rolling? (I mean witch of the 2 you suggest me to use)
i always roll with left trigger on my controller
@@TheTurtleMelon oh ty
How do i connect the controller to pc im using a micro usb cable but nothing
What type of controller?
@@TheTurtleMelon ps4
Keys now always spawn in shops, so yay
Thats semi true, a key is guaranteed from the first and second floor shops but not on the 3rd, 4th and 5th
I have no idea if it’s true, or if I just beat bullet king too much,
-But if you use your basic gun and only your basic gun, with no passive/active items, you get an item-
-For now I know bullet king is Cat bullet king throne-
Edit: you need to beat bullet king 10 times
yeah you get an item for killing 10 times and another for the first flawless
Thanks man
Great guide thanks
no problem dude, us gungeoneers gotta help each other out
Wonderful video!!
hope you learnt something :)
really helpful, thank you!
No problem msn happy to help, i also have a gungeon 0 to 100% playthrough if you want any extra help/entertainment
If your armor takes a hit but you don’t take health damage, can you still get the master round?
If you take any damage at all, to health armour or self inflicted you will lose the master round
TheTurtleMelon oh ok, thank you!
Thanks a lot you really helped me for understanding the basics (secret rooms for example..)
Ik have a question, why you didn't use the weapon you found to fight the boss?
because that weapon he got is really quite good, and he was trying to conserve ammo for a harder scenario later in the run. all of the first floor bosses are quite beatable with just the starting weapon of each character :)
@@mackenzieturner7078 Oh ok thx, I still cannot really beat them without taking damage so I still use my really good guns haha but good to know :)
Is part 2 out yet? Also is AG&D dlc or an update? What does it add? Thank you
Part 2 is coming in around a week actually and ag&d added around 30 new guns and items, a new boss, 3 new mini bosses, turbo mode, a ton of synergies between items have been added and lots of fixes to gameplay and loot
Thanks
