Good modification, the loose assist hooks get sucked in the mouth, fish do not just bite, but the suck water as the open to gulp/bite.

How does the assist hook do in the kelp for calicos I’ve used them on weedless burning them but never dropping down through it

Works great and tends to tear out of kelp a lot easier than a standard lead head hook.
