4:21 Silverquill - The College all about the Power of Words 6:35 Prismari - The College all about Elemental Arts 8:55 Witherbloom - The College all about Essence Studies 11:37 Lorehold - The College all about Archeomancy & the past 14:27 Quandrix - The College all about Numeromancy 17:29 Biblioplex - The Library! (insert Sokka meme)
The things I hope for in this book (even if they aren't likely): 1. A proper rule system for Planeswalking. 2. New spells and magic items. 3. That the colleges as backgrounds, not classes. I was not a fan of them as shared subclasses as it felt SUPER clunky. Also Bards not being in Prismari and Artificers being snubbed didn't help. 4. The Owlin race. (Obvious one, since one is featured on the standard cover). 5. Gyome getting a nod in the Witherbloom chapter. 6. An Academia system since players would generally be students. 7. Advice for student mentors that represent the dichotomy within each of the colleges. 8. Official Mage Tower rules. 9. The Oriq being involved in the introductory adventure. 10. Stat blocks for the Founding Dragons.
Amy and Michael are so fun. I love this fun way of exploring the setting as a character "planning a vacation" I am pumped for this book! The MTG books are some of the best 5e books!
As a genetics major, I'd totally double-major in Witherbloom and Quandrix to magically recode organisms. In particular, dissecting and altering the Polymorph spell.
I absolutely love all of these wonderful colleges, but if they were to be used in a campaign, how would the party decide what to go with? I understand that maybe a adventure hook or even just a coin flip would suffice for choosing a college for the party to explore for the time, but it seems like, to get the most out of this for each player, many players would go their own ways and just meet up periodically. I'm not an extremely experienced DM, so I'm just perplexed at how this would work out going into a campaign.
I could see it treated like “due to this threat, the colleges need to combine their specialties” and roll with that in a ton of different ways. You wouldn’t even have to do that if you didn’t want to. Harry Potter has students from different schools in class with one another all the time. Same thing with real life universities. Wildly different majors can still have classes in common.
I won't take this Lorehold slander!! Lorehold parties are seances with wild party spirits, exploring old cave systems to get into sick af crystal cavern grotto parties and playing with ancient artifacts that grant wishes for five story water slides into pools of cherry jello!!
I know I'm late to the party but I'm super happy to see UG get some more love besides whatever poorly thought out mess Simic is supposed to be. Biological magic is lame, imaginary numbers is where its at.

Are writers/authors considered worthy applicants for Prismari because writing is MY best "artistic skill set"
4:21 Silverquill - The College all about the Power of Words
6:35 Prismari - The College all about Elemental Arts
8:55 Witherbloom - The College all about Essence Studies
11:37 Lorehold - The College all about Archeomancy & the past
14:27 Quandrix - The College all about Numeromancy
17:29 Biblioplex - The Library! (insert Sokka meme)
Can confirm, if at Witherbloom: "Cheesecake Factory portions" are NO JOKE.
Gotta eat good to run away from the zombie crocs
I've been trying to get as much info on Strixhaven from the various MtG story articles, so I can't wait to read through this!

Also the assertion that Prismari "throws banger parties"... This is what I needed.
23:54 “. . . a Pegasus without wings . . .” You mean a horse!?

Strixhaven has a very stron Hogwarts feel to it and I'm not complaining!!
I am excited for the setting and can't wait to see some nice lore.
This 100% Ravenclaw is also 100% Lorehold. I mean, I’m an actual history professor for fuck’s sake.
Ravenclaw Prismari here! 😄
Perfect for use with 5 Color Mana Spell Point Variant Rules!
Excited to see this publish!
Do you have a link or can you point me towards these variant rules?
Lore Hold party are just board gaming conventions and larp xD
Ren-Faire's and battle reenactments. Maybe "A Night in the Museum" vibe
@@MCEvans66 And there's gotta be at least *ONE* of those spirit statues that knows how to drop uppers and downers properly...
5 different colleges but im still fan designing my own, love strixhaven
I love MtG lore and it's usually pretty easy to adapt(or just drop) into other settings. So this looks like fun.
So excited for a ton of these new options, mostly witherbloom :)
New artificer options would be nice.
I would kill for artificer options, but artificer is a weird one considering you require "non-core" books to use it.
@@heykak yeah....
Lorehold parties are probably more like murder mystery parties with actual historic significance
I better start working on the translation for my party ;)
lorehold parties are awesome their whole theme is adventure they are dungeon delving adventurers
Silverquill supremacy!

My body is ready for this mission. I'll take the writing job.
Love this lore! Casters can always use some more love!
Like the cool casters in dark sun, so when we doin' this?
I am also *far too excited* for Quandrix. That school is 1000% what I'm here for.
I already know i'm a Witherbloom, I knew the minute i saw the first pieces of art and whisperings hahaha
Where can I read this full article???
Leave no Stone unturned
Lorehold has the best parties because they can have thematic partys of historical civilizations!
Quandrix parties are 100% LAN parties
I know I'm late to the party but I'm super happy to see UG get some more love besides whatever poorly thought out mess Simic is supposed to be.
Biological magic is lame, imaginary numbers is where its at.
Please consider adding these story beats to the game Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms!
You will need to contact the company that makes the game, as it's neither D&D Beyond, nor Wizards of the Coast (who does not own D&D Beyond).
Adventuring travelog journalist reporting for the expedition to the Southern Continent.
I mean you could stay out of the professor rivalries or….fun idea, you can get involved 😈, not taking any sides of course.
Hi Amy
It’s unfortunate the adventure included in the book wasn’t better.
