    Glad i found a channel that thinks like i do. I am also building a fly/direct board atm (not fly but more Giant Japanese Hornet) nevertheless i also love using a real amp/cabs setup most of the time, but the pedals i want on my board are older BIGGER tube driven preamp/sims like H&K tubemans & factors, 2 notes revolt and Strymons all midi, all powered by CIOKS too. Atm the footprint is like 47inches x 19inches x 12inches (being a double decker)..lol This video has just smashed all doubts i was assuming as in largeness, weight of gear to lug around. Now i am sold on the largest goliath board, 2 guitars and bag of cables. Id rather have a bad back with good tones than have a good back with plastic sounding tones.😊😁👌👍👍

      I agree! Great video! I love the explanations around the board itself and why you picked your kit. Count me as a new subscriber. Cheers from St Louis! Tim

    Great board! And yes the Cioks power supplies are the best.

    I love it: The Rat is hidden so as not to frighten the singer. 😂

    Great rig rundown. Which Wampler pedal do you have on your pedalboard? I just didn't understand that part of the video. Thanks.

    I appreciate the love for running in stereo. Most giys seem to love running mono tbough. Also i was a bit put off by the solid state pre, but hearing that tube pre is really killer. It seems like you have all your bases coveref though. Im listening through headphones and it sounds great. Have you made your wet presets to pan left so that you can do the proper mono sum as well? The mission expressionator is something im looking at i currently run a midi controller with an expression but this would be an easier option for me so i can program less.

      I haven't done anything with panning left or right. Just full wet

    Wow that amp sim/pre-amp sounds awesome! Whole board sounds great. I may need to start running my chorus after my amp sim from now on after hearing this. Also quick question: Any reason you chose the boss mid switcher vs other switchers on the market?

    • @MichaelVanceMusic
      @MichaelVanceMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      @@seantorres970 so all of my modulation, delay and reverb is in the stereo effects loop on the Thermion amp.
      I chose the Boss for two reasons, if it breaks in the road, it's easier to find/replace and I like the editor software better than several others

      @@MichaelVanceMusic 😮 I figured it would be hefty, but that makes a tube amp feel like a light warm up, lol
      Very cool project though, and solid walk through.
