Thanks for the video. I probably could have fixed it myself, but it was nice knowing what battery was the replacement before I opened it. And it's always nice to know what you can or can't separate first so you are not damaging something. Again Thanks.
I would go onto Amazon or ebay and buy a spare and program it. It's simple to do and cheap. Lots of tutorials online. Not sure if you need 1 or 2 working fobs to program this one. If you need to get it from the dealer they hit you for $150-250 because they have the inside market on these coded keys. An extra spare safety key is only like $25

Thank you because I was avoiding it cuz I thought it was hard. My dumb ass bout to let the 2nd key fob die. Don't want to be stranded so I pulled out my precision screwdriver set to find out I don't need it. This was simple as hell... 😂 😂

Can the low battery in the key fob cause the check engine light to come on?
Not that I know of, but a check engine light may makes the remote start not work.
