The name “In the Mood” Lafayette gave the tank is actually one of the decorations you can put on the tanks on Warthunder
yeah, i think i put one on the gun barrel of my Sherman in WT
@@nitsu2947 Me too. Which version though? I put mine on my M4A1 (76).

That's the smell of quality
Yes i do
You hear that?

And my fart sorry

They should have named their second “In the Mood” the “In the Mood Again”
And the third, maybe "In the Mood Once More"
"In the Mood for More"

@@Yarnhub N1
Is there a chance you could do just a video with the soundtrack like you did with the Lawrence of Arabia video
@@Yarnhub did only king died or most of the crew of in the mood died ?
Sorry for spelling mistake English is my second language
“Shermans had a higher burn rate!”
“Shermans were a death trap!”
“Shermans were outclassed by the Tiger and Panther”
Lafayette G. Pool: “ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?”
all of those things are true, just that they managed to survive and the nice thing about the shermans was the amount of them
@@worlore1651 M4 Sherman crews suffered a 2-5% casualty rate during ww2 M4 Shermans may have been inferior on the "tank trifecta" in contrast to German tanks but usually had the advantage of better visibility, safety, reliability and general ergonomics(especially with the crew doors) that made them known as rugged and effective machines by their crews.
@@jerrysmooth24 Yes for that reason alone I consider it the best machine of the war. Being able to recycle veteran tank crews is worth its weight in gold.
@@jerrysmooth24 They were not even in that bad of a place with the "tank trifecta". The 76mm did its job well. The tank was well armored. The biggest two issues when dealing with hostile armor was at first the 75mm was used because they at the time thought it was "good enough" it wasn't and later the lack of HVAP for the 76mm for dealing with the cats. Combine that with survivability, reliability, ease of logistics and ease of use and the Sherman is the closest we have ever seen to a true world beater tank. It really isn't a world beater but it is the closest.
@@worlore1651 All of those things except the last are NOT true, just old boomer tales that were passed down and just believed without a second thought.
Most of which were stirred on by a man by the name of Belton Cooper, who did not serve in the tanks, but instead retrieved abandoned and destroyed shermans during the war and repaired them.
Shermans, thanks to both ease of use design and safety doctrine regarding ammunition stowage had some of the best crew survival rates in the war of any tank in spite of it's flaws.
They should reanimate the Ye Old Pub story, it would be cool seeing it in their improved artstyle

Pretty good quote ngl
Poole actually got to see and fire the M1 Abrams and said if he had that tank he would have driven straight to Berlin and killed Hitler himself and no one doubted the man's honest assessment of the tank or the tank aces abilities.

Im a simple man, i see yarnhub new upload i click.
Yes
Yarnhub is best
I see a history related video I click
The quality of these animations never ceases to impress me, and it seems like the animations are constantly improving! Never seen such quality in such a relatively small channel!
Once again I’ll say it, this channel is pretty much the BEST history source on UA-cam.
Sabaton would like to have a word with you!!

Yarnhub currently: I've never met this man before in my life
Yeah
Could've named it any other way. But no, you went with "War Daddy". Great job. Doe it'd be funny hearing them say Harder Daddy lmao. I guess you could say that Daddy was in the mood lmao

Jesus Christ TMI too much information
I love how that soldier at 2:49 got knocked back by the gunfire from the Panther
Edit: wait a second he got dragged by a hand
Easter Egg? Who's hand is it?
Haha! Nice spot!
Panther hmm hungry I am
German sausage I need
It was yarnhub's 🤐🤫🤔
I literally died after noticing the hand lmao
...HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A UA-cam CHANNEL (not a film company) TO HAVE ANIMATIONS THIS GOOD?!?!
Well done, keep the great work up!
This channel deserves a million subscribers+
best war history videos ive watched
keep up the good work!
At 2:48
a hand grabs the soldier and pulls him back behind the tank. This saved his life as the panther was just about to fire. If it would have shot with him standing next to the muzzle break, the blast deflected by the blast would have probably killed him.
Thats why on the M4 (76) sherman and M18 Hellcat the muzzle break optional but not required. Some tank had them while others (like the M4A1 (76) "In the mood" did not).
Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
Looks like a yeti
I don't think it's a soldier grabbing him...
That's a big arm
Looks like a huge yeti

This Channel really gets me "in the mood" of learning ;D
5:56 Lol. Love the way he calls 'em "Germs".
Your the best chanal iv ever seeeeeen. Your voice makes me happy because I know that an epic ww2 story is about to begin ❤️
Lafayette Green Pool
(July 23, 1919 - May 30, 1991)
We should never forget his name. We owe him so much
May valkyries been the ones to take him to rest.
I like that this cannel has mostly untlelled storyes of history and that is good to expeand knowlage that way keep up the good work.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Sherman is just as capable as the Panther and the winner in tank duels is whoever gets the shot first. I enjoyed watching the video, and glad to see not every german tank in the video is a tiger.
YARNHUB COULD YOU PLEASE MAKE MOVIE OF THESE WARS.....I LOVE UR VOICEOVER AND YOUR EDITINGS
That commander was really Lucky!
In any case, I must admit that I noticed a improvement on the light effects and the tank textures (camo)
Also at 2:49 the soldier being pulled away was quite funny.
Thank You Yarnhub, for another amazing video!
War is terrible. It only brings destruction, yet from those ashes resolve comes. From that resolve heroism and grit are revealed. Cheers Yarn hub! Another great video.
this is my favorite history channel ive been watching these animations since 2019
I love how he puts an electric guitar in the song
Nice i got blessed again with another history animation.
2:48 hans: i can't see anything fritz there's too much fire,imma take a look
Fritz: NO,comeback here you kraut! You wanna die?!
I think hans does wanna die XD good thing i pulled him back on the side
As I Texan, I find it amazing that two of the greatest war heroes of WW2 are both from Texas. Heck yes, God Bless America!
The way he spoke of his crew is insane and perfect
The scene where he flew off the tank and watched in vain as his Sherman was destroyed, was strangely beautiful. Yarnhub never fails to impress
i love the amount of effort yarnhub is putting in their videos a new story every time :D
The ONLY people with NUTS heavier than TANKS are our boys from Yarnhub ! Pray god will be looking down on you every nano-second, for these INCREDIBLE history stories! Thanks!
I love their bravery and this teaches us never to give up. Sherman the best tank
Wow, one of the crew mates was 17 years old, makes me wonder how lucky I am to be born in this present time of 21st century
Pah, in WW1, soldiers are needed so boys as young as 12 can lie about his age and goes straight to the frontline
@@darnit1944 I read a book based off a real story of 12 year old boy who lied about his age and joined in the navy in WW2.
The US military still takes 17-year-olds with special permission and a high school diploma.
If u look closely at 2:49 when the german soldier falls down there is actually a hand pulling him. Easter eggs
Yeah but look at the hand
@S it’s big. Too big
"HANS! come back!"
"Do you even lift bro?"

Stumbled across this channel earlier this month and its quickly become one of my favorites to look for on my feed. the quality has improved fantastically
This story pretty much illustrated why the Sherman was a good tank. There's always another one around!
yup and all to willing to pass it out to willing crews no matter how you fubar'd it up before.
When I was deployed during OEF 8, there was a USN EOD who's call sign was 'Soul Stealer.' Second best call sign to 'War Daddy.'
The german that got thrown when the panther fires is hilarious nice job yarnhub
That launch over the berm with the guitar backing track, with mud falling from the tank tracks was so cool.
I'm really impressed of your guys work I like to thank you for making such videos. We need these kind of works to remember not to do such wars again thank you Yarnhub and God bless you guys
The Sherman’s look cool rolling.
Good job yarnhub!

Simply outstanding narration and animation, my new go to for war stories.
You need to do the story of Ernest E. Evans on the USS Johnston in Battle off Samar. Your channel is amazing and is the one of my top 5 Channels. Keep up the great Work
That one would turn into a story starting with "I started blasting......."
@Rafael Enriquez the USS Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413) was a different ship in the same battle. but yeah that would be a good one as well.
This channel is one of the most amazing animation channels I hope youll do more and still the graphics is amazing like the dirt on the tank tracks
The greatest quality thx for providing us this great content :D
"Nothing could have stopped them." Was already killed twice by that time...
Woah the tank animation is so good
See? I knew the cat (with blue ears) is a time traveler.
Alright, I've been watching you guys all this time, but THIS crosses the line!
It's bloody amazing work and it keeps getting better. Too much man.
'course a good ol' boy's gonna get his leg turned to mush by a tank shell and go " Nuh-uh. I can still fight! We ain't done! "
The last panther gunner must have muttered "I like ya cut P" as he deleted the Sherman...
I was thinking, you could maybe make a video on the battle for Itter Castle, it's nuts. Americans and germans accompanied by french celebrities fought against the SS in a medieval castle turned prison.
PD: I love how you don't settle for your content's quality as "good enough". You always keep improving more and more, and I hope some day I can have that same level of commitment. You're easily my favorite channel on UA-cam.
