I loved your talk on being single. I had four years single in London and it truly was some of the best years of my life. So much growth and self discovery (a lot of mistakes too 🙃) x
I had a big split in my early 30s. Up to that point, I kind of assumed I'd have kids some time in the future, without really considering it properly. I knew that time wasn't on my side as far as kids go, and was totally surprised that it didn't bother me at all. Fast forward a year, and I met my husband - he also had come to the realisation that kids weren't important to him. Fast forward again, this time 20 years, we don't have kids and are happily child free. I had kind of expected that menopause might make me regret that, but I'm well into my perimenopause and the hormonal regret I feared hasn't happened. My point is, take stock of what you want in life, and whether kids are a part of that. It's not a given that everybody wants a family (but some people will go out of their way to try to make you feel uncomfortable about not wanting to bring kids into this crazy world). Having kids is equally as valid a choice as not having them - as long as its a choice you've made with your eyes open. ❤
Snaps to everything you said about single life! I completely agree that being on your own allows you to learn more about yourself & cultivate a strong self worth which enables you to step into a healthy relationship dynamic. I am in my late 20s single, living on my own & leaning into the discomfort of being alone. Thank you for the reminder to trust the process and continue to be open to new opportunities & possibilities. Love your videos so much!
Actually love these videos where you say its just lots of rambling and all over the place. isn't that what life is? I wouldn't go shorter with the fringe, it'll just bother you. Love hearing your thoughts about anything basically and also seeing somewhat of a realistic week of yours xxx
Loved your chat at the end on relationships, completely agree about single life, it can be so fulfilling. I also had a period of a few years single and learned so much about myself!
Love your latest contents! I totally relate to what you're saying by having just moved in Rome after a long time spent in the Middle East. Being able to build another life for yourself is so fulfilling and challenging as well as frustrating sometimes.
Absolutely loved this vlog and hearing your thoughts on life. Couldn’t agree more with all you‘ve said. especially when talking about being single and enjoying being single. I feel like I’ve been alone and single my entire life and I def learned soo much about and worked on myself by that !
I love your vlogs so much! I'm glad your knee is feeling better. I'm dying to go to that hair clip place next time I'm in New York. I love hearing your advice about moving to a new place! I moved from NYC to Detroit and couldn't agree more about saying yes and Instagram DMing people to make new friends. So many people really are open to it and it can't hurt to just shoot your shot! I loved your advice on dating. I have unintentionally been more of a serial monogamist and can absolutely see the value of cherishing your single years and having that time to really focus on yourself and your friendships. Also the socks look amazing - I exclusively wear Muji socks. They are the best!
I very rarely comment but always loved your videos. I moved to NY from London just over a year ago and I found your split time fascinating. I also live downtown (in Little Italy). Though I've been here technically a year, I've ended up not being in NY as much as one needs to and, yet, feel very lucky to be able to have made some good friends here and lead a very social life (maybe even too social). It also matters enormously what chapter of your life someone is in when moving to NY because it can eat people up, fast. I will promise to say hi if I ever bump into you or maybe we can actually do coffee - and cut back on martinis.
Such sage advice on dating and single life. Am in a relationship now but my god, being single was so so valuable. I have a much better sense of myself now. Lovely vlog ❤️
Yes yes yes to all you said about being single and taking the time to heal, know yourself, understand your worth and what you're looking for in a life partner. I was single ages 27-36, and it wasn't until I was truly ready that I found someone who I felt offered me more in a life together than what I had cultivated for myself.
I love my a Muji sock however I do have a bone to pick with them because they've made it harder to find smaller sizes in their offerings which is very sad - like how dare?! LOL another wonderful vlog, always a favorite
i also had patellar / knee dislocations since i was a kid til my mid life and the orthopaedic surgeon did an MPFL and Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy surgery and that never had disclocations after that. The recovery process was challenging though, lots of physiotherapy sessions- but it did help
love this video!! was wondering if you can make a video about your film camera and how to use it/how you use it? where you develop photos in nyc etc.? would absolutely love watching that type of content :)
I do really like your videos so, genuine question that I would be interested in understanding your perspective on: how do you as a vlogger balance, respond to and recognise the climate crisis in your work/content?
Hi Lizzy! I came to the USA almost decade ago and making new friends is the most difficult part of living here. People are not quite open as I was thinking and I noticed most of them don't like emigrants. Sad but true.
I was going to say had you thought about having your fringe shorter? And you said that right at the end! My other half had similar knee issues it dislocated from time to time, he did a major dislocation a few years ago and it put him out of action for 17 weeks, he had to do and still does a lot of work on strength around his knee joint, it may be worth seeing a physio who specialises in knees to prevent further injuries x
I used to love those socks because they are not tight on ankles but then they became way too loose and fall off often if I wore sneaker… curious to see how you like them over time!
Hi Lizzy! I'm a bigger boobed girl and i find it difficult to find basic crew neck tshirts that hug my neck but also doesn't fit too tight around my chest. Could you please mention the brand of the tshirt you are wearing at the segment where you are doing the clothing haul?
Unsolicited advice alert! Please feel free to think, f off you patronising woman. I wonder if in the USA they have better access to dermatologists. As in the uk they’re very expensive and sparse. I think your few hormonal spots are totally normal but I can tell it’s annoying you . I’m 50 and have wrinkles and acne! Which is the gift of my menopause. Yep that shit keeps on giving. Are you tempted to go and see one. Id love to know if that is better in the US. When I ways youthful and beautiful like you I’d have been there like a shot as I’ve been plagued with terrible acne my whole life. Please ignore if this is a daft suggestion that you’ve already considered. just want to say you are lovely and gorgeous, with or without the occasional spot. Xx
*sigh* remember the days of trying on everything in your closet?? It really does feel like these days - and for a while now - you are constantly buying new things, and talking about all the things you "need" or want. And most of the things all loo very similar to each other. Honestly it's not the most interesting thing to watch/listen to and is very out of touch with so many of us who can't afford to constantly be buying new items. And what about the sustainability you used to care about?? been loving you/your vlogs for a long time, but been feeling pretty bored and disconnected for a while now
14:10 didn’t you spend about £1000 on a dark brown shearling lined leather jacket a couple of years back? Maybe it was black and I’m misremembering…Just don’t want you to waste your money on things you already have xx
Your sensational vlog intros and your sarcastic comments are the best content youtube has to offer. And I'm being 100% serious in saying that.
Agree
The sarcastic moments are my favorite🥹💘
If your videos were 2hr long I'd still watch them with pleasure from start to finish.
I loved your talk on being single. I had four years single in London and it truly was some of the best years of my life. So much growth and self discovery (a lot of mistakes too 🙃) x
Absolutly loved when she said “it’s very difficult being me” in her way.

Lizzy this is the best content on the entire world wide web
I’ve got a brown belt like your black woven one. I bought it in the Harrogate branch of Jaeger about 36 years ago 😂😂
Your bangs shorten fit you so well

The socks were the best part! I love new socks and wish I had a Muji store close by to sock shop.

wait Lizzy did you go to the doctor re: your knee??? or are you just walking it off?!
I remember you were making a video for testing basics sandals edition. Are we going to see that one soon? 😊
She’s wealthy, western and white. She’ll be fine.
Hiya! Where is your v neck grey jumper from? It's really nice! Thanks:)
Take care darling. Hope your knee heals soon, completely. Luv u so much ❤

No but I need this pep talk about dating every couple weeks
I used to love those socks because they are not tight on ankles but then they became way too loose and fall off often if I wore sneaker… curious to see how you like them over time!
Love Bigelow's oldest apothecary in America.
Thank you for answering my dating question, I’m relating so much to everything you said ❤️
hope ur knee gets better soon!! love the ny vlogs:)
I believe Issey Miyake's Pleats Please are usually polyester. I think it's because the technique wouldn't work with natural fibres.
your vlogs simply feel like home, would love to know the book you mentioned you are reading :)
Hey lizzy - where is your white tee from? Thx
Totally agree with your thoughts on dating
Ah which pharmacy?!
Unsubscribing if the sock content ends....just so you know ;)
Also loving the mini/shorter fringe!
Nice to see you💞 ✌🥰
Hi Lizzy! I'm a bigger boobed girl and i find it difficult to find basic crew neck tshirts that hug my neck but also doesn't fit too tight around my chest. Could you please mention the brand of the tshirt you are wearing at the segment where you are doing the clothing haul?
