- 4 Things that you can do with Date Skipping in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. For these first 2 You Don’t have to CLOSE your game. CHANGE TERA RAID DENS by date skipping. Press Y and open up your map and then ZL so you can zoom out and see everything. After that press your home button, go to settings, go to system and then select Date & time and skip a Day. Go Back to your game and you will see your mini map change in real time. This will refresh your daily 6 star raid which is the black glowing crystal or any other raids. CHANGE MASS OUTBREAKS by date skipping. If you Date Skip in the same location where a Pokemon Spawns you’ll get that mass outbreak to show up. For example, If my character goes to that area and date skips ill get a lucario mass outbreak and can get a shiny from there! These next 2 require you to save your game and exit! CHANGE AUCTION ITEMS by date skipping. Go to Porto Marinada Auction house and look around what items are there. If they aren’t what you want you save your game, close it, date skip and come back and see if they have what you want! ITEM FARMING by date skipping. If you pick up a bunch of Sparkling Items for money farming in Asado Desert or Berry Farming in between Artazon & Levencia save, close, date skip, and then open up your game the items will reappear on the ground! Now you can use this date skipping guide in pokemon scarlet & violet

Feel Free to just go back a minute if you don't want a full day skip! If you want a pokemon in front of you to be the legal date just switch back the day once you have the spawn! You also wont get banned for date skipping.
If you set up a picnic next to a sparkling item, and your pokemon can lay eggs, you'll get a bunch of what the sparkling item is, in your egg basket. For me it was a chesto berry

You actually don’t have to skip a full day
Turn the clock BACK by 1 minute and it will reset raids and mass outbreaks

You don't even need to change your clock at all you can just click Ok without actually changing the time.

You don't even have to change the minutes! Just open up the Date & Time editor, then just press OK. It's that easy!

Something blatantly easier for the auction is to just participate and withdraw if they don’t have what you want. A few minutes later and it’ll refresh

Pro tip: if you’re not getting any luck with the mass outbreak method, set the clock to 5 or so minutes before the next day, make a level 2 encounter sandwich at the location where the Pokémon spawns and wait for the outbreaks to occur. I’ve had a lot of success with this.

Fun fact for items. If you put down a camp next to a sparkle item, your Pokémon will infinitely keep picking up that specific item and put it in the basket like an egg

For the mass outbreak one, it's not guaranteed to be the mon you want, however it does increase the chances by a lot. I've heard that having encounter power of that type active while day skipping increases your chances more

The best thing to keep in mind when date skipping to reset raids/outbreaks is when you press the home button make sure the time itself doesn’t change. For example changing from 1/4/23 to 1/5/23 sometimes in the time it takes you to get through the menu to the date/time change it may have changed to the next minute. If this happens just move the date forward and the minute back by one. Not a big deal but I’ve noticed when date skipping if the minute rolls over before I can change the date and get back to the game it won’t change anything.
You dont have to date skip a day because you cannjust press date and time and only press "Ok"
Quick tip! You can only press "OK" as well instead of changing the dates

For the auction house it actually resets everyday in game so you only have to skip 72 mins to get those resets for the apriball hunting

For the raids and auctions you can just save, skip a day, join, and if you don’t see what you want then reset the game. You only technically need to skip the day once but it’s probably faster with the other way
Something I haven't seen much talk about on these channels, but can't recall who I found this method from but all credit to them. Instead of skipping ahead one day, just click the ok to confirm your current time without changing. Then go back to game and should work. Mine only does it when I'm at pokecenters but I've seen work without being at one too. This IS THE same as date skipping just for those players who don't want to have wacky save files from 30 years in the future or past.
I do a lot of feather farming around where the fake dragon beast was located I'm not good at remembering locations but I usually just swim around the islands and find A LOT of feathers that help boosts stats
Better option for berries and items is making a picnic 4 steps from the little item and facing in the direction if done right the item will be below the basket and just make an egg power sandwich and you'll get various eggs and various of said item too.
It just works with the little glowing ones, not the ones in pokeballs

First one you don’t even need to change the date or time at all. Just turn off the auto clock and mash through the time set portion and go back to your map.
I just did it to get a shiny Finizen
I found one that is save home setting hour up get back leave save screen repeat one more time you can do this as much as you like

Actually you can just hit OK without changing the date on your Switch.
It might not work first or second time, but once it starts working, it can easily shave off an extra second of menuing.
You don't have to skip a day. Just press ok on the far right without changing the time and it works. Even with online mode on
For market, save there, skip 2 hours (well, 72 minutes technically but thats harder) and then just keep opening your game, no changing the clock needed.
Or, do what i do and end every session there, then you can hunt for pokeballs at the start of the next one
I don't know if they patched this yet but there's a glitch (or exploit idk) where is you put your picnic basket on top of a sparkling piece and check the basket you can get duplicates of that item. I ended up with a lot of star dust thanks to it
You can rewind 1 minute to change spawns and also to restart the day before hunting for a shiny that only spawns during the day

You dont actually have to move your game's date at all. Just go to the date and time settings and just mash a then go back home and go into the game. Same effect but sometimes it doesn't renew the outbreaks. As for everything else, you'll still need to skip the day as far as I'm aware

Or you can set up a picnic near the small item sparkle your pokémon will find it multiple times it only seems to work for the sparkle not the pokéball. Might need egg power.

My friend got me to play Pokémon Violet which is the first ever pokemon game I ever played on my Nintendo Switch oled and I love it so much the expansion for me is a 10/10
Closing your game and turning the clock to 1 am also allows you to keep farming a 6 star raid until events force a save and map update
If you don't have access to date skipping like me and are looking for a a certain outbreak, the first time you open SCVI for the day, if you don't see the outbreak you want, close your game and reopen it, it will completely change the outbreaks. DONT save until you see the one you want because saving locks those outbreaks and won't change after a reset
Don't save in range of the auction house, and you can see the names of what is being sold.
I save on the shelder logo and walk forward.
This is because the items are locked when you're in auction house.
Once a day is skipped, the auction items are re-rolled every time game is closed and opened.

You don't actually need to change the time at all for the outbreak and raid changing. Just opening the date and accepting it while you were on the map changes it.

If you want the date ypu caught pokemon to be the correct day, you can skip the day ahead and then immediately put it back without leaving the date and time menu once and it'll change
Putting the time down a minute will also work and is better if you want to have correct dates on your pokemon
be careful with the auction stuff one of my auction sellers disappeared after trying that and still won't come back :')

For item farming i just use the passive picnic farm when i have time that is
I used the date skip to find an mass outbrake of garydos and I litterly went strait the and the 8 Pokémon I saw was a shiny garydos

For the future version their tail could either be a literal lightning bolt or some type of lightning rod.
Or maybe they could just add characteristics of different pika-clones and turn into a robotic, Pokémon
ironically for the shining/sparkling items you don't even need to day skip, if you do all the items an asado desert including the ones on the cliff the items where you started should be spawning in again
edit: I should mention this is somewhat consistent, the item can spawn in 5 min, 10, min or could talk as long as an hour if your unlucky but most the time it's only 5-10 min
For the Porto Marinada ski you don't need to save. Just save once and then just close the game every time you do it

At the auction you don't need to date skip for every reset. Just date skip once and then close/ reopen the game until you get your desired item.
Just a tip with date skipping outbreaks/raids.
For some reason if you skip a day, 1 in 4 times it just won't do anything.
Skipping 2 days is more consistent.
Don't know why, just is. That is all.

Mass outbreak from date resetting is not guaranteed. Especially for less common spawns like eevee. It merely influences the spawns, and you’ll still likely need dozens of resets in the right area

Honestly, for the aseado desert, i havent begun the main story yet, [i got out of the first area with a glitch i found pretty much day 1] and I've just ran around the desert, items just respawn if i fast travel
you don't actually have to skip the date to change the raids or the outbreaks, you just need to go into the clock and click ok. Everything resets without changing anything.
You don't have to skip anything when it comes to time. Just have to hit okay to change your raids and mass outbreaks on the map.

For gathering in the desert you’re wasting time by date skipping. I farm there for hours because eggs also seem to hatch faster there. All I do is take a straight shot across the entire desert and just do a u turn and go back to the other end. Almost everything respawns and it’s super fast

you dont even have to change your time at all!!!! just click A for all of the date options (day, month, year, hour, minute, etc.) and it will reset all your raids. literally go system -> date and time -> down 3 to change it and mash A

Just a FYI I don't know if it's ture but you have books on your home screen and the second you date skip they disappear and don't come back

i’ve never got a shiny from a mass outbreak only shiny i’ve gotten was on accident (ran into a kricketot lol)
Correction: Mass Outbreaks of the desired pokemon has a 20% (roughly, maybe lower) chance of popping up, but that goes for every pokemon that can spawn there. So you might have to give it a couple of tries. If you go to Kitakami and do this, the entire map for Paldea will be randomized and vice versa.
does it have the side effect of breaking the timer of your game if you switch back the date?
You don't even have to change the time. I just go to change the time and press A for everything, and it still works.
I got a Shiny Lucario from Outbreak after an hour sandwich at 60 encounters in Kitakami today

You can just skip go back. Sorry 1 minute after you head home, not skip an hour. It still works the ejection go back an hour or admit it
You can also date skip by going back one minute instead of moving the day forward
You can also do a timeskip by setting time back 1 minute.

I love how the game does not give a damn if you date skip. I guess that was kind of the case for every pokemon game though

You dont even have to change the date. Just turn off auto time and just go across and press ok change nothing it resets the minute without changing the minute. However do it enough times in a row you will be a few mins behind but not a whole day

Apparently this doesn’t work sometimes but you don’t have to close your game or save if you want to change what’s on the screen, just jump back 2 minutes
