- An 8-day archery hunt in the southeast Alberta prairies. We managed to get a pronghorn antelope, mule deer and whitetail deer. This was my first time using a crossbow (due to shoulder issues) and my first two kills with it. My brother was using his compound bow. We had an amazing hunt and an amazing time.
Glad to see another video!
Thanks!!
Great video again AJ! Brings back fond memories of our trip there a few years back. That crossbow looks like some kind of alien laser but it's obviously effective. You made a great stalk on the dead speed goat. How were the pheasants last fall, and did you see any big bucks?
We didn’t see a single pheasant. Jason had a big mulie in bow range but the buck saw him first. I saw a few smaller bucks. We really didn’t venture too far up the first gully as we were seeing so many animals and they were kind of patternable. Crossbow is definitely a big advantage in bow season, but it was still lots of fun. The goats were way easier to get close to then when we were there (rut). 😀
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Sure liked your camp set up, perfect location. Awesome country!!
Thanks! It is incredible country. Love it there.
Was that camp spot in 102? Looking for one for this fall. Got drawn for antelope
It’s on border between 102 and 104
