I’ve only just found out, my mum paid £90 for the smallest fresh turkey from a local turkey farm! Was shocked! I always by a frozen one from Tesco. Told her not to buy one this year and we are going to have a beef joint instead.
Can I just say that your family are all so lovely. Nadia has helped me to cook. Deena has made me eat more vegetables. Kiki has inspired me to draw again. Maddie has me addicted to tik tok. Nanny Di has made me snack at night and Mark has made me laugh. Love you all 💝🌲

My ears are still bleeding from the caterwauling from the actor playing Tony in West Side Story. Absolutely dreadful. I am in the camp that this musical should not have been remade. If you are not going to do something truly innovative or fresh , why bother. Just casting more latinos in key roles does not remedy the offense to Puerto Ricans and their culture. Originally, Laurents, Robbins , Bernstein and Sondheim wanted the warring groups to be the Irish versus the Jews. Instead, in the name of being more current, they proceeded to write about a group they had zero knowledge of . The music is a masterpiece but has not one drop of authentic Puerto Rican musical forms in it. Robbins choreography is pure genius but the mambo section is about as close as he gets to genuine latino dance forms. The original was of it's time and , as such, deserves to be treasured and not tarted up with 21st century "wokeness". Like Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane or The Searchers, West Side Story can stand on it's own without apology or tinkering by the uninspired. Just my opinion. BTW - I have participated in numerous productions of West Side Story and enjoyed every second of it.
