Haha, the Afterburner seems not to like being demonstrated on static display. It wants SPEEEEED!! btw, totally LOVE the tiny blue turbine, I'd like to have it as a hairdryer :)
Hey @ziggassedup, Thanks for the vid, pity you got the only one where I had a little bit of a fire at the rear. BTW, it's only ~42lbs of thrust, not 70..;-) Later in the day I had some nice afterburner action happening, it was trying to push the car off the table too. Cheers, Smithy.
@1airplane21 Thanks buddy I agree it's impressive but I didn't build it ...It belongs to the guy with the controls. I believe the engine is about $3000,and he made the afterburner as well as the rest of it so only he would know...You can ask him your self....YT user "knobby4".His comment on the vid is one of the first.
Im so sure it work, its just too much fuel, during getting burning chamber temperature minimum, after that, we are ready to go. So the flame is just nothing, the rider wants to show off also wanted a quick full run for the turbine getting ready...
@4crevis Apparently it does...I just caught it on camera...He told me it went 200+kph real speed on a scaled 1/4 mile section of the dragstrip earlier that day....I missed that... :-(
Firstly...I didn't build it and secondly,You'll appreciate it more and understand it more if you did the research instead of someone showing you what to do...This thing owes the owner a lot of money so I don't think he'll be building another one any time soon...Check "Brett Smith's" channel...He's the guy who built it..Good luck mate.
Yeah, if i had a really cool little jet engine that cost a fortune i'd always run it without having a fire-extinguisher handy 'cause that blowing on it shit was so effective! Proper preparation and common sense......who needs 'um eh ?!! :)
@GISMCONFUSE True there is mostly carbon dioxide. But the air from your mouth pushes true oxygen into the flame. It doesn't make the oxygen in front of your face disappear and that still has to travel somewhere. Your also comparing a candle to a flame thats ignited by jet fuel. ??? You see what im saying? lol, Also if you have ever started a fire the best way to kindle the flame is by blowing on it or moving oxygen in its direction. Regardless if your breathing out co2 your going to push oxygen.
Andreas Rotvold Exactly, seams the extra width would cause additional friction and weight. I would have solved this problem by replacing all 4 tires with wings.
Incredible Jet Dragster. It looks like tons of effort was put into the build. Thanks for showing us this beast. 👍👍
My pleasure...Cheers Robert.
@ziggassedup, you also right about them looking good.
Happy Racing :)
Thats just awesome Ziggy!
That is so cool!!
So no one on youtube has a video of one of these jet rc cars actually working right and making a fast run?
They are actually slow. A t-maxx is faster.
@knobby4 i wish i'd have seen that but
there was so much to see and so little time.
cheers mate.
world's most sophisticated pocket barbeque,nice !
Haha, the Afterburner seems not to like being demonstrated on static display. It wants SPEEEEED!!
btw, totally LOVE the tiny blue turbine, I'd like to have it as a hairdryer :)
I did it....good luck and have fun mate.
Thanks for your opinion Mr Smith...Do you have some RC vids.?...Nope...nothing on your channel...I guess that says it all...Have a good day.
thanks. it looks like ill build one. ill post my project on youtube when im done. and the guy lied in the discription, that one makes 20 lbf
....why don't more RC jets have this after burner?!?! This is awesome
Hey @ziggassedup,
Thanks for the vid, pity you got the only one where I had a little bit of a fire at the rear. BTW, it's only ~42lbs of thrust, not 70..;-) Later in the day I had some nice afterburner action happening, it was trying to push the car off the table too.
Cheers,
Smithy.
I recon he knew it was on fire and has seen it that way many times before while he was building it.
Great looking car.
he he, definately, either way a very cool piece of kit that is definately faster than my nitro buggy :)
Cheers
@1airplane21 Thanks buddy I agree it's impressive but I didn't build it ...It belongs to the guy with the controls.

Dude, you're rc flamethrower's on fire.
Not copied...See the 4th comment....He's the guy who owns and built it.
It is for sure.
@madmax876 ..Thanks..you reminded me that mine is too.
Thanks mate.
Will you be showing this jet in action, Ziggy? Pretty cool in any scale, I'd say.
Unfortunately not George...It's really well made.
Good one :)
Im so sure it work, its just too much fuel, during getting burning chamber temperature minimum, after that, we are ready to go. So the flame is just nothing, the rider wants to show off also wanted a quick full run for the turbine getting ready...
@Trolleymoose ...I guess I'l try to find something else to video...thanks for asking.
If you notice, there is a fire extinguisher on the back side of the table on the ground near the nose of the car.
If you notice, there is a golf cart passing in the background on the side of the table on the ground near the observers
Charlie Whelan you made my day sir
@32CoolestDude ..Sure it will....It blends air and fuel and it comes out fire...Not sure how it will go with a banana.
@jeff245able ..It's not mine...the guy built the whole thing except the jet engine...I recon he's got a lot of cash tied up in it..
cheers.
@grannysmasher 100% correct but they sure look nice.
Thanks.
@4crevis Apparently it does...I just caught it on camera...He told me it went 200+kph real speed on a scaled 1/4 mile section of the dragstrip earlier that day....I missed that... :-(
I'm sure you're correct there sir.
I thought my video was crap...Thanks for your opinion.
Great vid! Subbed!
i wonder how good of a leaf blower one of those would make
Very Nice!
Why does the engine slow down when you fire the afterburner? Nice car, I like to see it run. Cheers!!
The description is a demo of his home made afterburner....I'd love to see it going down the track too...
my type of racing
very cool!
i'm currently working with Smithy on another project. you can see some of the vids on my page. bloody top guy.
@johncartelli That is exactly where it came from.
@marines0001 ..I have no idea about that...I hope to meet up with him again and do a much better video...cheers
I like how you tried blowing the jet fuel fire out bahahaha!!
I agree.
Only show - no go! :-)
Jane Cowling
I think I can pick up women with this !!
@MyVeerapol cheers
its ah blast!
I believe the AMA and most model airfields prohibit it.
i would like to see it go down the track
YES.!!!!
💖💖💖💖👌👌👌💖💖💖💖

@ziggassedup And a set of PJ's made of Nomex....
Yeah, if i had a really cool little jet engine that cost a fortune i'd always run it without having a fire-extinguisher handy 'cause that blowing on it shit was so effective! Proper preparation and common sense......who needs 'um eh ?!! :)
I liked how I wasn't the guy blowing the fire out...I'm just the guy with the camera..Bahahahaha.!!
Okayee, your shits on fire my boy!
Cheers mate....Looks dangerous..lol
I think so too.
Not sure...Many many thousands I think...in parts and time to scratch build it.
@lolperson145 ..I think it has three buttons...stop,go and FIRE.!
good camera... i want too =)
@Metalicalypse I'm not exactly sure.
@toooooooooooooooooby ..I have no idea...sorry.
I BELIIIIIIIVE , I CAN FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
@NicCase I'll pass that on to the owner..Thanks.
Cool!
@Trolleymoose Sounds like you know a lot about it.
I think it would be cool to see a turboshaft rc dragster!
It's pretty cool...except for the hot bit where the flames come out...lol...sorry.
@Tunerboii2045 ..That's him.
ratio of gas and flames seems off a bit to be spitting fire out of the mouth watering around under..
The turbine eng are 8-12k each..
I'm not sure buddy...check knobby4's channel...He is the guy who built it...he has some vids about it..I hope that helps.
I'm not the expert...but the dude who made it is a jet engine tech...That's all I know.
@GISMCONFUSE True there is mostly carbon dioxide. But the air from your mouth pushes true oxygen into the flame. @The51734 I'm not sure.
@MrHeadhunterz666 ...How's about a sausage on a stick..?..Cheers.
Too.......freakin.....cool......
why isn't the thrust from the engine blowing the car off the table or taking the table with it?
Someone mentioned the jet engine at the front is backwards, perhaps that actions to counter the thrust.
I believe it has two.
@ziggassedup how much is the jet engine and afterburner? if you built that yourself that's quite impressive
@LucxaD1 ..43lbs of thrust.
@swampmonster123 Small scale air craft.
as long as it only looks like that i'll be fine :)
just curious.. why u need them big tires? The power is not going through the wheels anyways :S
'Cos they look good.
Stability on the back end for grip and weight distribution. So that the back end does not go sideways
Jan Cloete and they look good.
Andreas Rotvold Exactly, seams the extra width would cause additional friction and weight. I would have solved this problem by replacing all 4 tires with wings.
un espectaculo Los chices
@buddy100s ..It's supposed to.....
super kool thumbs up and shared or should i say super hot lol
Cheers Drew.
im just wondering if he has ever lit the campfie with that thing
@M3Nenough ..A hairdryer..good idea.
Yep...Sydney Dragway.
Surly you don't need fat tyres on the rear because it is jet powered
I think I can,I think I can.
cool vid, but what he didn't see is that it ( the engine ) was "still" on fire
underneath.!
@Mudgrove
I don't think so mate, your's will eat mine off the line.
Cheers,
Smithy.
No secret....If you read some of the other comments you'd see that I didn't build it and I don't own it.
Anywhere you can buy diesel fuel,heating oil or Kerosene.
thumbs up if you think at the last second of the video he went to get the extinguisher lol
