The Church of Karmravor (reddish) or the church of the Most Holy Theotokos was built in the VII century. This small church is the only one in Armenia whose original tiled roof has survived to this day. The outstanding Armenian poet Gevorg Emin is buried in the courtyard of this church.
Aghtsk, a village in Aragatsotn is known for a unique royal tomb, the graves of the Armenian kings Artashesids and Arshakunids, around which serious passions boiled. In 359, the Persians suddenly broke into Armenia, stealing the royal remains. For them, it was such a magical action, so they took away someone else's”glory, luck and courage".
Quite quickly, the commander Vasak Mamikonian returned the sacred remains to Armenia, they were buried in Akhtsk. For a long time, it was believed that the story of the reburial was a myth. However, the excavations proved otherwise.
In 2015, a new expedition began working here, and stone sarcophagi with relics were found under the altar of the chapel, under the stone slabs. At first, scientists assumed that the sarcophagi belong to the Hellenistic era, but one of them has an image of a cross. According to the fact that there were only clean bones in the sarcophagi, the scientist assumed that this was a reburial.
Teher Monastery
Teher is a monastery in the Aragatsotn Marz. It is located on the south-eastern slope of Mount Aragats at an altitude of 1700 meters.
The monastery consists of the church of St. Astvatsatsin (the Holy Virgin) of 1213 and the narthex added to it from the west in 1221. This is a functioning church. There are pilgrimage crosses on the walls, as our guide explained to us, they have a symbolic meaning, they were ordered by stone cutters, and they carry certain information about the participants of the pilgrimage trip.
Right behind the temple is the world's first radio-optical telescope of radiophysicist, academician Paris Geruni, built in 1985 on the slope of Aragats.

The temple was built in the middle of the VII century, presumably in 641. In 1946-1948, a partial restoration was carried out, during which it was possible to recreate the original appearance, with the exception of the drum and the dome. The temple is in a dilapidated state. Only traces of frescoes remained on the walls. Next to the temple are the ruins of the palace (680s), built by Grigor Mamikonian. Behind the palace are the ruins of the Katogike Basilica (VII century), a vaulted chapel (XII-XIII centuries), the ruins of the castle (XII-XII centuries) and the remains of the fortress walls.
Mastara Church, it is also officially the Church of St. John the Baptist - a temple in the village of Mastara. The temple was founded in the 5th century and in terms of architecture is similar to the cathedral in Etchmiadzin. According to legend, in the IV century, Gregory the Illuminator brought to Armenia from distant Jerusalem and Caesarea a piece of the relics of John the Baptist, and they were buried here in the ancient church. Hence the name of the village and the church (mas, masunk-relics and tara-I carried).
Four years ago, it turned out that the soot of the walls of the temple hides ancient frescoes. Some of them were restored by restorers.
Talin Cathedral is a very large cathedral, according to some sources, it is the largest cathedral of that era in Armenia. The time of construction is known only approximately-the VII century. Currently, it is dilapidated, the dome is missing, the earthquake in 1840 caused great damage to the building. There are huge internal arches, which connect the two western domed pillars with the western wall. All this fascinates with its size. The cathedral was distinguished by its rich decorative decoration, abundant lighting. The building has 28 huge windows. In 1840, an earthquake destroyed the dome and most of the southern and western walls. But even in this form, this is an absolutely fascinating place with its amazing atmosphere and soul.

Посмотрел ещё раз хочу добавить ещё, я атеист но я так хочу что бы всё старинной храмы отреставрировали вместо того что новые встроить. Я недавно увидел пещерный комплекс Зарни Парни это где то не далеко Дсега , Ахпата.Нету Ваших планах эти места съездить Вы так хорошо грамотно рассказываете хочется Вашими главами увидеть и слышать. Меня десять мес.назад восхитило это видео .Потрясающие ощущения , весьма интересно и профессионально (!) подан материал , видеоряд порой потрясает воображение .Сейчас я снова обнаружил этот влог в ленте и ещё раз внимательно пересмотрел .Всё же в архитектурном смысле внешне церковь Мастара больше напоминает сохранившийся в городе Карс Собор Всех Апостолов ( ныне турецкая мечеть ), или наоборот мастаринская церковь вдохновила в 930 м году Багратидов воздвигнуть собор в Карсе 🤔, потому как вроде она более ранней постройки . Странно работает you tube , пришлось повторно поставить лайк 🤔 и написать комментарий .
Все храмы имеет свой ,, язык « ... Талинский потряс ,,,,,,,,,, посидеть бы и поговорить с камнями ......
Да, атмосфера просто завораживает, мы максимально старались ее передать.

Мне одно сложно понять, почему русские христиане в целом без интереса относятся к колыбели христианства , которое находится у них под боком,,??!!
А почему вам кажется, что без интереса? Если вы туристов имеете в виду, то их немало ездит по таким местам
Все красиво, но, мне кажется, мы слишком много внимания уделяем религии. Уж лучше стоять на страже Конституции и соблюдать законы, чем жить в дебрях религии.
Ну тут все же дело не в религиозности, это культурные памятники, они многое говорят о людях, которые на этой земле живут. Законы, конечно, соблюдать надо. Кстати, если просто жить по совести (для кого-то это жить по заповедям)это уже отчасти жить по законам.
