Baby Mabel Rescue - Cow Rescue Part 1

Today, we made a 5 hour road trip to rescue baby Mabel from a small dairy farm. Mabel is about 5 weeks old and as a female calf. As soon as these calves are born they are separated from their mothers. The calves are all chained up 24/7, restricting their mobility to a few feet and then bottle fed. Many calves were sick and they desperately call out to their mothers on the other side of the pasture and the mothers helplessly call them back. Unfortunately, this is usual stuff in the dairy industry.
Baby Mabel is very lucky as she will not be impregnated over and over again, she wont go through the trauma of loosing her babies, and she wont be sent to slaughter once she is spent/old. We dropped her off at her forever home and her human momma loves her! It was wonderful to see Baby Mabel run around, explore the trees, and the flowers, something she was unable to do in the chained state. We are so delighted she has such a wonderful home to grow into a graceful cow!
