Watching the trays be "cleaned" was tough. In our centre we have protective sleeves on them until instruments are removed, then sleeves are removed with dirty gloves (without touching tray) and placed into a "dirty" rack. Then with clean gloves on are wiped over with disinfectant wipes and placed on the clean side. The way shown in this video half the tray wasn't even sprayed with the disinfectant, and other parts were re contaminated with the dirty gloves touching the tray after being sprayed. Not ideal.
I didn’t see her change her gloves between handling dirty instruments and putting them in the sonic cleaned/rinsed instruments and into sterilization pouches. Did I miss that?
They arnt considered sterile until they go through the autoclave. So even though they go through the ultrasonic they are still dirty until they complete the autoclave cycle
