FlyLeaf Yeah, there have been many cases of this, which is pretty understandable because if you go to the show and the artist doesn't find your outfit fits you well due to weight, you can be sued because you just costed him money.

Funny how at the beginning when you describe a victorias secret models body you only show pictures of kendall and gigi. Even though they arent really vc models only once a year and gigis walk is pretty bad. I think its so sad to see one of the best fashion shows of the year overtaken by instagram models and having the real angles and more special models totally out of the lime light

VS models are actually really healthy and a few models over the Internet said "We only want people to be motivated, not starving themselves, we eat... A LOT between potatoes to McDonald's, we just exercise to maintain our shape." so I have a lot if respect for these girls

I read an interview when they were staying in a hotel in London and when they were asked about food they were all going crazy over full English breakfasts. To be honest I don't think they could handle the workouts they do without decent fuel.

but the plus size women in the comment section will still skinny shame them
whether people are fat or skinny it doesnt matter cuz nobody has to listen to these forms of judgement. what matters is if you are overweight or underweight because those are conditions that make your health at risk. As long as you try your best to reach the healthy weight range(even if you dont succeed), i think it is good enough
but even if you are naturally in a healthy weight range, you should still try to workout because that makes your healthier :)

SO TRUE. I'm all about promoting body positivity and getting people to understand that what's in magazines is not realistic, but I do think it goes too far when people (ie Buzzfeed) promote completely unhealthy people to 'accept' where they're at. Should they be shamed? Of course not. But it's only damaging to them to tell those who are only hurting themselves that it's okay to keep doing what they're doing.
Alex The other day I was looking at one of those magazines and a female friend came to me, saw one of those women and said "That's photoshopped". I couldn't take her statement seriously because she was eating a bucket of ice cream while saying that. Most of the time, when someone tells me that, I can't help but feel like they are just trying to stop me from finding that attractive.

They do look amazing. But I think ALL of us (professional models included) feel uncomfortable with the bodies we have sometimes because we can only ever modify so much, yet we see gorgeous people all the time who have certain traits we find appealing. Even if you were described as flawless by some, there would still be others (who look different) that would be considered beautiful too. There simply isn't one correct formula to beauty. Confidence comes in accepting that there are limitations, that we are each beautiful in certain ways and deciding not to wallow in envy.

There are ideologues that will tell you how great you are and that you are beautiful despite any facts ( not appearance ).

johno doh because we've been conditioned to see as tall, thin, lean, bodies as beautiful. growing up seeing Disney princesses,barbie, models all have a certain body shape (and if you're a poc living in the United States then having lighter skin was a goal as well) i know I'll never look like them. Even though idgaf about how i look normally when i see other women who are my age tall and thin i hate myself. i can't help it. there's still envy because their body types are something that i can never achieve. it's just recently that body positivity has been trending and seeing it in ads. Body positivity for all genders is still a work in progress for accepting ourselves and others.
Just watching them workout is making me feel tired.

i really like the way kelsey phrases things to sound more positive! like when she says that earlier in the week she was struggling, she says “i would have said i was really happy for it to be over”, so even though she’s expressing that she felt negatively about the challenge at first, she phrases it in a way that still uses positive vocabulary, which i really really like. it’s cool to see someone be genuinely positive while still being honest:)
When i see the VS shows or models in general, it doesnt necessarily remind me of my own flaws. I just COMPLETELY acknowledge the fact that I was not made with such long limbs, an effortlessly gorgeous face and the will to stay thin 😂 I just admire their beauty! (and then spend all my money at VS)

+Kelseys_storys The biggest problem that i see is that models are much taller than the average woman in the US, so their porportions are longer and leaner naturally. I alwasy feel too short after seeing how tall they are and how much nicer they look in outfits because of that.

I'm short so I'll never be a model, which is confusing because there are plus sized models, disabled models, and many other kinds of models which is great but short models aren't a thing which amazes me that no one has done anything about this yet

nick orange I think it was leaning straight against a wall and then walking forward, with a straight back and shoulders
You stand up against a wall and then move ur feet away from the wall and stay there for a while. Then stand up and walk and you should feel it.
Lean against a wall, stay there for like 20 min ya good to go
After working out (weightlifting and cardio) almost every day for the past 11 months, I did improve physically but the most significant and unexpected improvement I got was a boost in positivity!
Because we all (me as well of course! my whole life before 11 months ago) have little debates in our heads of 'Should I exercise today' and often lose and that gives us a small feeling of failure every day, and that adds up :(
But once you commit and succeed in creating the habit of making exercising part of your weekly schedule, you feel sooo awesome about yourself :)
You don't have to work out every day like me, but commit to certain times weekly and oh my gosh, you'll learn that working out doesn't tire you but give you moreee energy and boost your mood a LOT! If I can do it, you can toooooo
