You won't be disappointed. I used my 24L in SE Asia and it kept everything dry. I even used it as a floatation device/buoy. Got the soap flatpak and felt the same way. They just work as stated and have a high quality feel to them.

    Great channel.
I have this bag and have used it on my recent vacation. I was really surprised by its usefulness and was really happy that my stuff was protected from beach sand and sea water.
Got to note though that it can easily unroll and open when filled a bit more, plus that the back gets sweaty really fast. The chest strap is essential since the shoulder straps slide off all the time (though I wish it was longer).
Since it is so thin, everything in the main compartment digs into the back, thus some packing strategy is required.
Overall - a great little helper.

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! Glad to hear you have enjoyed using this and I agree with the points you mentioned especially around the sweaty back and the strategy required to pack it to prevent things from poking you! Haha

I just used this on a 2wk trip to Japan. I used it everyday and was happy with it, but it did make my back sweaty a bit. Also, the thin material made anything hard that I put into the bag dig into my back just a little. I did like the small packable size, but it does take a bit of finessing to get it into the pouch. The waterbottle pockets were amazing though; I was able to put all kinds of stuff in there because of the adjustable compression straps on the pockets. On the whole, though, I'd have preferred the Tortuga Outbreaker Daypack. I just purchased that and will be taking it as my only bag on a few days' trip to the West Coast. I wonder how it'll compare to the Matador.
Thanks for your reviews, they're really informative. Your review on the Tortuga Outbreaker 35L Backpack convinced me to go with that option.

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I'm glad the videos have been helpful! and thank you for sharing your experience! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed using the bag and I did experience similar issues like the ones you mentioned with items digging into my back if I didn't organize carefully. Thats awesome you were able to get the Outbreaker daypack as well! Although this packs down smaller I still prefer the outbreak as it is really comfortable and still packs down super flat! =)

I like the idea of a packable bag and use some foldable totes for shopping and often carry thin material light weight one in my daily carry. When it comes to backpacks I prefer something that keeps its shape and has some padding against my back. 24 litres of the Matador Freeain24 is a good size for being able to carry junk and to stuff in a jumper or light jacket. I either use a bicycle handbar bag, even when not cycling, or when I need more capacity a Bobby Bizz.

Thank you for watching! And I agree I prefer to have something with a little more support that keeps its shape as well!:)

I can't for the life of me decide between the Matador FreeRain24 v 2.0 and the Lifeventure Waterproof Packable daypack (22L). I use my daypack when I go miles in the mountains looking for the horses, and I carry first aid, a jacket, lunch, some tools, halters and rope (clipped on the outside). Halp.

Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to test out the life venture daypack but based on the pictures on their site it looks pretty nice! So far my free rain has held up pretty well the only thing is it’s a little light on organizational options. Between the two it seems pretty close and it might come down to whether you want something that’s slightly bigger (24 vs 22 l) or if you would prefer to have the compression straps and waist belt that the lifeventure seems to have. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)

Tortuga Outbreaker Daypack: The gold standard for packable daypacks. I don't find many good competitors to this great valued product.
