Entrepreneur and author MJ DeMarco struggled with multiple ventures before realizing where he could add value to the world - in writing books he wishes he could have read when he was working the dreaded 9-5. His groundbreaking anti-‘get-rich-slow’ books, “The Millionaire Fastlane” and “Unscripted” are filled with vital information that has fed his 40,000 strong entrepreneur forum ‘The Fast Lane Forum’.
In this episode of Wheelbarrow Profits, MJ DeMarco details why he feels following your passion can be destructive career advice. He describes the 5 CENTS Commandments from “Millionaire Fast Lane” that are essential for every entrepreneur when starting a business and why the ‘fast lane’ to exploding income is far superior to the ‘slow lane’ and the ‘sidewalk’. He then tells us the difference between thinking like a consumer vs. thinking like a producer (a.k.a. how to give the market what it wants!), and why it is important to set expectations in everything in life.

MJ is the only person in the "entrepreneurial" field that I now listen to, I've given up on every other book/person in the industry. He cuts the shit and is brutally honest, so unselfish. A successful person encouraging people to genuinely make the world a better place by providing true value is rare mantra, I can't think of anyone else that promotes that. I've read both his books 3 times and heed his advice daily, it's hard as hell, but there's no chance I'm doing anything other than committing to his way of life. Thanks MJ and Jake & Gino for this.

Coming from MJs community. MJ is extremely authentic and thats the value he provides. He speaks so clearly. Wish you asked more about Kinetic Execution from the Unscripted book. Thanks for the interview.

Only for the strong of heart. Most people listen and think he is hating, but in reality, he is laying out a framework to become wealthy!

Buy the first book, read it again, like 3 times and its all you need, but if you're dumb like myself the 2nd book would unlock all mind bugging questions in the first book. I can't say more!!!

I read both books sinxe the age of 17 until now I am 24 years old today.
I read them both 10 tomes probably, and I agree.
Its all you need, the rest is action, expirience and real life feedback

MJ Thanks so much for the best gift to the world. 2020 I lost job from Singapore 🇸🇬 and the day I was upset. I was just scrolling UA-cam.. then I found your name. Then I decided to buy the book and started reading. I was so wrong about business before when I was in school and scripted life. I’m growing and learning about solving new problems with Architecture and Structure design and giving service to the world. Thanks for this video. I really appreciate your channel content.

Follow your passion but make sure it connect with the people you trying to sell to. Wallets open when there's a need for your product / service.

Forget your age and just start from where you are with what you've got. I'm 37 and feel the same. Already an entrepreneur but could be farther ahead. All the best

I've been in sales for 25 years. Be you, be genuine and you'll be trusted...it's key. Customers love good service but they hate pandering and desperation. Never show desperation, even if you are. Be calm, confident and work your ass off for your customer.
