The Storm Prediction Center has moved much of east Tennessee into an enhanced risk for severe storms Sunday evening and into Monday morning. All modes of severe weather are possible including damaging wind gust, large hail and isolated tornado potential. The timing is from 2:00 am to 6:00 am Monday May 27, 2024. Update 9:49 pm 05/26/2024 The forecast has been updated for most of thge Knoxville area to a 10% chance of a significant severe tornado within 25 miles of any point in the forecast area.

When is current heat wave brakes it could be that everything breaks loose. Do you think we have a chance for any tornadoes at that time or are you going on tornado watch? I know it might be too soon to tell? Just wondering this can’t keep this kind of temperature for this much longer.

I believe the heat will last for a while. It’s kind of a wait and see situation at the moment.
