  • Vietnam welcomed 12.6 million international visitor arrivals last year, 3.5 times more than in 2022.
Not only has the country recently increased temporary stay visas up to 45 days for residents of countries with unilateral visa exempt agreements, Vietnam has also launched and expanded e-visas for stays of up to 90 days, and has further plans to make entering and staying in the country as easy and pain free as possible.
With so much to see and do in Vietnam, a variety of hotels for all budgets, warm hospitality, great infrastructure, beaches, mountains and everything in between, as well as many types of delicious and unique food to enjoy and savour, Vietnam is one of those places you will want to return time and time again.
To learn more about how one of the country's main airports is handling the growing number of visitor arrivals to Vietnam, Steven Howard of Travel News Asia sat down with Le Thi Hong Minh, General Director of Cam Ranh International Terminal JSC, at the recent Routes Asia 2024 in Langkawi, Malaysia.
In this interview, filmed on 27 February 2024, Steven asks where Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) is in terms of its post-Covid recovery, which markets they are trying to develop, what new routes are coming online, what challenges they face, what development and expansion pans they have, and why people should visit that part of the country.
