  • I take a questionable fuel caddy / tank from Amazon, and convert it into a (somewhat less questionable) electric pump driven fuel storage container. Great for running generators during longer-term power outages, or for lawn and garden equipment. I'm sure there are improvements to be made, feel free to make suggestions.
This is less of a "DIY Video" and more of a "Here is a detailed look at a thing I did, so you can replicate it if you want to make your own version if you like"
The cost of the parts to do this, are more than purchasing a different fuel solution I suggest in the video, so this perhaps more a labor of love / fun, than a practical solution.
This the playlist for my whole series of videos covering the Predator 9500 generators, and connecting a pair of them up to my home for backup power:

    Parts List (it's long):
Float to make the fuel gauge work: www.amazon.com...
Magnets to mount box to tank (use smaller screws that don't penetrate the box housing): www.amazon.com...

Fuel Tubing (you'll also need hose clamps): www.amazon.com...
Voltage Step Down (Buck) board: www.amazon.com...
Brass Ball Valve for Nozzle: www.amazon.com...
    Coupler For Nozzle: www.amazon.com...
    Fuel Pump: www.amazon.com...
    Brass hose adapter bits: www.amazon.com...
Threaded hose adapter (cheaper local at hardware store): www.amazon.com...
    Stainless Steel Nozzle Tube: www.amazon.com...
Threaded Vented Fuel Fill Cap (must have 3D printed coupler): www.amazon.com...
Rubber Stoppers for Pump Tube (I only used the #6 size): www.amazon.com...
    Air Switch: www.amazon.com...
Harbor Freight Box (pretty sure this is the size): www.harborfrei...
Here are the STL Files for the 3D Printed Adapters: www.thingivers...
*They must be printed using a gasoline resistant plastic* (I used PETG)
Other Misc parts, hose clamps, sealant, small sections of PVC, Rubber stretch-seal electrical tape, magnet mount (for air switch), etc.
This is very much a "figure it out as you go" kinda thing.
