this makes so much sense cause as you are fighting Aion the portal on Klaus left side is SAYING what happens as you defeat Zanza in xb1 and after Zanza is fell, Klaus dies and the conduit is sent elsewhere. I believe this will be the story in dlc 2 the party gets warped to where the conduit it (probably where Galea ended up)
Mante Armstrong Nah I'm 98% sure the DLC story won't be a sequel. The devs keep saying things like, "You can play the DLC story without even playing the 'original''
During the final boss, once you drop about a third of his health it plays a cutscene. During that cutscene klaus/architect says the time is nigh and you can hear shulk say "today we use our powers to fell a god"
I don't think so. Alvis himself says that he is Monado, the administrative computer of the satellite facility. Klaus says that the Aegis cores are the literal processing cores of the Trinity processor.
I see your point there. I Maybe it will be revealed in a future Xenoblade game. They're shooting for a late 2019 or early 2020 release for their next game. As of right now anyways. Plus a supposed Xenblade X port
ZedaGirlfriend-AlexGamerD- Not necessarily... its unknown whether meyneths monado could hurt the people, I believe Zanza only locked the monado's power to keep the vessel from hurting himself
@@painof7 Except it isn't. Alrest is the original world where Klaus performed the experiment. The Architect even says that all that remained afterwards was the destroyed ruins of the planet and half of his body, the other half becoming Zanza. XCX has no clear connections to XC2/XC1. The only thing is that it could be one of the universes that things were flung to.
@@bandanadeesupremacy332 I read somewhere that, because he wasn't whole, he wanted to be regenerated by using Shulk. Somewhere in the game, he makes Shulk go into a coma or something and that's when he's finally able to "be".
@@painof7 X, like the name implies, is more of a Final Fantasy type sequel. Same concepts, lots of references, but not connected. However, 2 is, again as the name implies, the second part of the same story.
+Here'sMystik Are you kidding? The nominees for GOTY 2016 at the Game Awards were Uncharted 4, Overwatch, Titanfall 2, Doom and Inside. That's not exactly a competitive list and it's hard to be happy with a single one of those getting a GOTY award. RPG of the year was given to the friggin Witcher 3's DLC. In terms of total GOTY awards given, 4th was Battlefield 1 and 5th was The Last Guardian. 2016 was hot garbage.
One other cool tie-in is that Rex and Pneuma defeat Artifice Aion by creating a giant energy sword and vertically bisecting it. This is exactly what Shulk does to defeat Zanza, and due to the implications laid by the Architect, I'm pretty sure that Rex and Pneuma destroy Artifice Aion at the exact same time Shulk kills Zanza. It seems too perfect not to work that way.
And Aion has the same sorta half-and-half design Zanza did. When I first saw Aion in the cutscne where Pneuma was awakened my first thought was "Oh cool, a Zanza callback"
yea, that was Klaus "perishing" in the other universe. Shulk killing Zanza, which is why the architect died. the events are happening at the same time in both universes
For the record, the Architect isn't exactly a different persona or anything compared to Zanza. The main difference is where they ended up after the event. Zanza ended up in a world under his full command, and basicly went on a full power trip. Meanwhile the Architect was left in the ruins of his old world, with half his body gone attached to a God on the other end that won't let him die, so now he feels he needs to restore the world via science. And that's the keyword, science. He's no God. Say what you will of the conduits powers, in reality revived the world trough advanced science he developed over the endless years he remained alive. This is a world with no gods. Just as Shulk asked for.
Technically he gained the power of a god. He can create and control life. So, yeah, he is a god. Besides, this is isn't Shulk's world. It's a world parallel to his world
The world of Alrest is the original world that Klaus initiated the experiment on, aka Earth. Shulk's world is a parallel universe that was created and or gained access too by Klaus's experiment.
thunderhogTH Exactly. What I want to know is if the conduit disappearing in XC2 means that the split universes merged together again or if they remained separate. Considering the conduit specifically behaves like a manifold according to Galea its feasible that the universe of XC1 existed within XC2 in a folded space.
Tristan Tipton I also noticed in the ending cutscene that the aftermath of Xc1 looks very similar to the aftermath of Xc2. By aftermath I mean the scenery of an ocean darted with islands. Keep in mind the cutscene that plays in the final boss confirmed that both Xc1 and Xc2 are happening simultaneously. So I'm hoping that they are in the the same world towards the end.
XC2 was a legit parallel. This is straight canon. They even use the line in XC2 straight FROM XC1: Today, we use our power to fell a god, and then seize our destiny!!!!
AKA., the other half of Klaus, that's why the arquitect says to rex that they have few time to finish malos, because he was looking for zanza's fight as well, gosh, kinda complex but easy at the same time this sequel explanation :l
Perhaps the most conclusive evidence for your theory is during a cutscene with the Architect. He says he feels his other half meeting his demise soon, and during this cutscene you can hear crystal clear in Shulk's voice "today we use our power to fell a god" which is the exact same quote Shulk says before he kills Zanza. This not only proves that these two universes are happening in parallel, but it also proves they are happening at the exact same time as each other. The same time Rex defeats Malos, is the same exact time when Shulk kills Zanza.
lady mayneth I loved the combat, much easier and more intuitive than 1 and also chain attacks are busted as hell if you know how to use them, I finished malos while being 2 levels under with an elemental burst of 4 orbs with green pyra charging my gaugue to 100% and doing more than 1.5 million damage
It speeds up when you get later into the game. You charge your Arts faster, can switch faster between blades and have other abilities unlocked to give you more options.
Well by a later event near the end part of the Xenoblade 2 storyline we learn that Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 are happening at the same time as each other since in that point in the storyline we hear Shulk at his final boss battle moment from Xenoblade 1 within his Universe while the Xenoblade 2 group are almost at their final boss battle in this Universe.
technically it's not a sequel since when rex and the gang are talking to the architect that was the moment shulk and his group took on zanza in the final battle so both games happen around the same time in different universes.
patrick watkins At the least, we see some connection between the two games. One such as the professor who tried to stop Professor Klaus, Galea. She was never mentioned in the first game and I think it was a nice touch for them to help us reminisce that moment. Also the nice fact of how both Rex's and Shulk's journey are parallel with each other in real time.
Alvis is also heavily implied to be the third Aegis Ontos which also implies that the Aegises are also really Monados which is supported by Malos's blade weapon being a Monado and capable of using Monado arts
and mythra's foresight ability, also during your last fight with Jin he mentions the ability to change reality which was a power the aegis' had and alvis said something similar about the monado.
Alvis is the third one because Alvis' line near the end of the final boss fight "I am Monado, I was here at the beginning and I will proclaim the end". Think of it this way in 2's terms. Alvis is the blade, the Monado is the weapon, and Shulk/Zana/Meyneth are the drivers.
I think avis is the 3rd ages because he is both a sword and a person aka a blade Also i think he is the person talking in the tutoreals, the reason i say this is because the person talking is being a lot more personal than most voices.
I found this video after beating Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and added it to my watch later list. Four years later, I've finally beaten Xenoblade Chronicles 1 DE, in anticipation of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 next week, and could watch this video. It definitely confirms what I was thinking after finishing both games haha.
Mate, you left saying that Alvis is the lost Trinity Processor of the Conduit, Onthos. Well, it's not confirmed, but it makes sense, doesn't it? And at the end of XC1, we have to remmember that Alvis reveals Shulk that he was a kind of computer.
Domsiify I think that doesn't matter because XC1 was made without thinking on XC2 story, so Alvis may have said that he was a core processor if the devs already knew how XC2's story would be.
I agree, plus I believe he said something along the lines of being a computer, a processor being the main part of a computer, so I think it works anyway
After replaying DE i noticed a parallel with lady meyneth and zanza taking the roles of creator/destroyer much like malos and mythra do. In XC1 you are guided by destruction(zanza) in XC2 its creation (mythra)
sLasHeRxXx07 it is relevant. XENO games are somewhat related because the ideas around it come from the same source. It is like saying Fabula Nova Crystalis (XIII & Type) & Ivalice (FFXIV, FFXII & FFT) or Elder Scrolls universes are irrelevant towards each respective series. XENO series just happened to be held by three companies (SE, Namco & finally Nintendo) that is why it is hard for current creator to actually *link* all those series due to copyright & trademarking.
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon because they can't. like you said, the only relevance they have is that they're made by the same group of people. storywise, they can't be connected due to the games being owned by different companies
the connection doesn't have to be official, it can be masked, just like it was with Xenosaga and Xenogears, the developers said that there was no connection, but there was places, ships, worlds and even characters with the SAME appearance and even equal names, the Xeno series creators are smart guys, and the only thing that they can legally do in the moment to keep the series connected is the existance of the conduit, or Zohar.
I hope we learn more about the set up to Klaus and the split of universes. Maybe in the DLC? But no the Architect isn’t Shulk. Klaus is Zanza. Zanza is not Shulk. You’ve lost me there unless I just took what you said wrong.
Another thing related to this, the video is actually a little wrong about what happened in the experiment. Klaus didn't end up in the XB2 dimension after the experiment, the XB2 dimension is actually where the experiment took place. The majority of the planet, including half of Klaus was ripped into parallel dimensions when the experiment happened leaving only the land of morytha (ancient city ruins) and the remaining half of Klaus. He decided to atone for his sins by rebuilding the earth. This led to him making the cloud sea and titans which restarted evolution and eventually led to Alrest.
Yeah that's how I took it. Basically just two completely seperate stories and the only link seems to be Klaus is half here and half there haha. I'm glad they are linked however. Love the other references to past games also.
I love how people are now pointing out since playing the definitive Edition, that the third missing aegis core crystal is around Alvis' neck and that is the missing core crystal that disappeared, but also i need to mention, that monolith, looks a lot like the other monoliths from xenosaga and i wonder if there's a link there. Would love to discuss it more!
Its not Shulk at all. Shulk was just Zanza's aka Klaus's vessel after he killed him in the beginning then Shulk beat Zanza with his buddies turned down becoming a god and with the last of Alvis's power he than made a new Universe.
crownlessking7 the reason shulk had the abilities he did was because of the parts of zanza left behind within him so in some way they are the same being in different forms.
They are not the same being. But you are right that some of his power lingers in him along with Meyneths power which allowed him and Fiora to continue to live. The energy of the both of Meyneth and Zanza's power is in Shulk and Fiora just has the last of Meyneth energy. They all share Alvis's power which was the Manado the same way Rex shares Pyra's. Alvis was the third Trinity that went missing with Klaus's other half.
Midna78 He did after XC1. When Shulk made it so his world didn't need Gods anymore Alvis disappeared and Shulk than used the last of his power to birth a new universe that was his wish was when Alvis asked him what he wanted to do.
Midna78 not after Shulk made that wish. Also he was created by the conduit that Klaus found and made him, Pyra and Malos. But after the ending he vanished along with Klaus and the conduit.
I JUST realized what Ontos is! At the end of XC1, Alvis reveals himself as an admin computer to Shulk. In XC2, we find out that the Aegises, Pyra/Mythra and Malos (Pneuma and Logos) are also admin computers, part of a large super computer called the Trinity Processor. When Klaus activated the Conduit, creating the Xenoblade universes, Ontos disappeared while Pneuma and Logos stayed behind. Coincidence? Alvis MUST be Ontos! That would have made him he third Aegis! (People might already know this info by now, but I just now realized this)
I got instantly too. They make it pretty clear that the games take place at the same time but in different universes, plus it would make sense for the same man to come up with the same ide of having his people living on titans.
It could be said that the reason why the architect in xeno2 is dying is because his other half is dying in xeno1. When you think of it like that, it can be inferred that the stories of xenoblade 1 and 2 are actually happening simultaneously.
They are happening at the same time because SPOILERS : A bit later in XC2, just before the final boss, The architect hears shulk famous line before he finish Zanza, then he say "Rex, Hurry".
Raykushi When you think back, Zanza had this "Bionis" thing going that all living things are life sources for Bionis. And that was the reason why he looked so Young. The XC2 Klaus had only the help of SIENCE. Were the XC1 had a satanic thing going on
When Klaus went on to recreate the universe, most of everything in that universe was transferred to other dimensions, with the only things left being half of Klaus, Morytha and two Aegises. I believe the reason Klaus looks like he does in 2 is because as long as his left half (Zanza) is alive, Klaus will live. And Klaus is still human, making him look very old. He is just a human with special powers provided by the Conduit.
Also was the world after the final boss Mira? Likely Mor Ardin- caldros Uraya- syvalem Tantal after decaying- obliva(massive metal rings like in tantal)? Gormot-Noctilem The land -primordia
I'd have to argue that gormott became primordia and noctilum and was just split. Also that when the architect died, he left behind the telethia (the planets guardian and culler of impure life.) In addition, I believe that more ardain became Oblivia and temperentia became cauldros, not the other way around
you missed one crucial thing in one of the ending cutsenes. a line from shulk in xenoblade 1's end cutscenes apears in xenoblade 2's endscenes. particulary (correct me if im wrong) the part were shulk wishes for a world with no gods.
Thank you for clearing this up. I was racking my brain noticing the two similiarities, but you simplified it very well. The Xenoblade series could go in a crap load of different directions. I really hope Monolithsoft keeps the series going. And I want my own Poppi!!! She was one of the best characters in the game!
I don't know if people noticed something Alvis said back in Xenoblade 1, note this isn't the exact quote but summary of it, Alvis said that Zanza at one point did what to become friends...I am wondering if this is in reference to Klaus in Alrest because that was part of his desire. That maybe When he split in two the Klaus of the Bionis lost that desire. I could be over speculating this but if it is true then that could help prove that Alvis was in reality the third Aegis that disappeared too.
I mean, alvis was more so speaking about the reason why zanza created the homs in the first place being that he wanted friends. but then he kinda turned into this giant dougebag because he did it completely wrong.
Seeing that cutscene on the space station for the first time had me take a step back and process what was happening. And oh man, it was a moment I am SO GLAD I didn't spoil for myself prior. Malos having a Monado already had me on the edge of my seat processing the connections in my head, but seeing Klaus was the nail in the coffin for me.
they are both the same people, the endings are happening at the same time. as Shulk defeats the evil Klaus, the "good" Klaus dies aswell, hell out of the portal even comes Shulk's voice right before he battles Zanzar
This is a great video. It’s been so long since I played XC1 that I wouldn’t have put all of this together, but that missing Aegis core and Malos shouting ‘Monado’ attacks had me thinking. Thanks for clearing it all up!
This is probably the coolest way they could have connected the two games! I'm curious if and how they will expand on this. Bringing the characters from XBC1 and XBC2 together for a game would be mind blowingly awesome (not sure if that would even work, but would still be awesome!)
Something else is that in XC1, Alvis asks what Shulk wishes for, Shulk asks for a world with no gods, and in Klaus(the Architect's) dying breath, he puts some codes in and says "This is the last wish I can offer"(may not be word to word but meaning is there). So yeah, Klaus knew Zanza was going do die which would inevitably kill Klaus, and Klaus helped Alvis code Shulk's last wish.
So, how it all ties together, the Architect is Zanza and Zanza is the Architect. Shulk, isn’t really related to the two, as a human being, Shulk died at around five years old with his parents, Zanza took control of his body and brought Shulk back to life, to act as Zanza’s vessel until the day came where he could reappear and remake the universe. This, of course, doesn’t work, we can hear in XC2 Shulk himself repeating a line he says right before the final fight with Zanza, which leads to his death. Because Zanza died, the Architect died, they’re the same person, two halves of Professor Klaus. Once the two are dead, Shulk recreates his own universe with the power of his Monado, Rex and Pyra/Mythra more or less do the same. It’s not explained how, but a rift is opened in the final cutscene that each Titan and Rex & co. Pass through, leaving them before a large landmass. Now, it may be a bit presumptuous to think this, but I’d say this is the same landmass that Shulk created after defeating Zanza. Considering he knew nothing else apart from the Bionis and Mechonis, there was still a boundless sea in the end credits, excluding the new landmass. This is the EXACT same in XC2, a single landmass is visible, along with a boundless sea. And now, there is even a point where Shulk and Fiora can come into Alrest as Blades. It would happen about midway through the first game, at the very least, when they will have gotten to Frontier village and met Melia, as Shulk has a line referencing her. Riki is also present as a boss in a challenge battle, there is also datamined files for Elma, the ‘main’ protagonist of Xenoblade X, so we have the third universe present in the game. Since Alrest is really just an exact copy of the original earth, I’d say it’s easy to say it is the ‘main’ universe, which is why the other two can be contacted. Honestly, a third (or fourth, including X) game would be a blessing, it would prove/disprove so many theories. And, I mean, it’s more Xenoblade, like, c’mon, when is that ever a bad thing?
It's pretty neat that the two games take place at the same time but in parallel universes. My favorite reference has to be Bana since he was the drug dealing Nopon from the first game and his counterpart from 2 is a corrupt tradesman. I especially love how he ends up the same way the original Bana did where he's running in a hamster wheel after he is caught. There is also Vandham, who is kind of the Cid of the series, which I think 2 has the best rendition of him so far, though I don't remember him saying his "You're all a bunch of slackers" Line. Oh and you can't forget KOS-MOS from Xenosaga being a rare blade. Unfortunately the way to acquire Rare blades is not worth it past a certain point, you can literally resonate with a hundred cores and never get one while doing that. I probably won't be getting her on my current playthrough because this system is almost as bad as lootboxes, I hope they patch this system to make them much easier to obtain.
Yeah I know that, but for a completionist the current system is a nightmare. Luckily there are some things you can do with the common blades in the Merc system, but I ran into a situation where I needed a bunch of 35+ strength blades and only the rare blades were like that. I got Wulfric from the story quest and I randomly got Adinine, but 300+ resonances later I haven't gotten any other rare blades that meets that requirement. I can't buy out all the shops in each town because this RNG system is holding me back and that is infuriating.
Yeah I think I'm going to try and get my luck as high as I can on my current playthrough and see if I can get more rare blades. It's still a very annoying system though.
and you almost need them all fully upgraded to explore everywhere hahaha, but for me its not a probleme I'm enjoying playing this game so much!!!! now 150h in. may you be lucky;)!
I haven't seen anyone mention this yet... There's a scene near the end where you can hear Shulk through the architect's missing half. He yells, "Today, we use our power to fell a God, and then seize our destiny!". Not only is this the very same line from the final boss in the Xenoblade 1, it's the same exact audio clip and everything. I got chills during that moment. Absolutely crazy.
The world of XC2 is not another universe created by the experiment of Klaus, is the same world than before: the original planet/universe, but destroyed for what Klaus did. Morytha, the spacial station and the Architect are the only things that "survived" to the experiment. Then, only one universe was created, that one where Zanza is (Shulk's universe).
That’s not even the best part. (Also if anyone disagrees with this then they need their 5 senses checked) The time stamp at the start of this cutscene places this moment around 20XX Thing is earth was glasses and evacuated in 2054. This event happens in this skies above New LA. Maybe. But given all of the planetary similarities between XC2 and XCX then guess who was alive abroad the white whale. Klaus. ALSO XCX reaches the new planet by 2056. Not EVEN 44 years have passed since XCX before Klaus does this. That’s insane!! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO CAUSE THIS!?!?
Remember who The Monado is? Alvis is The Monado and he is computer AI from Klauses spacestation. When he appears to Shulk in the end of Xenoblade 1 he is shown as mint green cross of light. And we have we seen this mint green cross? It is in the Pyras/Mythtas chest plate
Senorex Yeah when I was playing through the game I had my own little head cannon thing that Mira is the world that the Beanstalk was made on. It never specifically stated what world it was (if I remember correctly). But really there’s not enough evidence to support either ways
@@ontos8534 I've got to say; wouldn't it be somewhat interesting if Mira is that "some strange dimension" that the conduits (Zohar's) power leaks out of. Sort of puts that perspective of XCX's 'weird ending' into perspective when considering that this power is capable of fabricating entire existence.
There are even more nods to XC1, though most of them are Easter eggs instead of actual links: There is a character Bana, a nopon, in both games, as well as a quest about him called "Bana the Betrayer". There's a nopon called Nopo'rikh in both games, described as a legendary warrior in XC2 and is basically a normal NPC in XC1. There are several dialogue similarities, such as both Reyn and Rex saying "I can't do anything if I'm dead". That's all I could think of, but there's almost definitely more. Also, by the looks of it, the ID card that Rex finds in Morytha is the same one that Galea wears in the flashback. It could be a reused asset, but Klaus has a separate, unique card so I personally I think it's intended. Also, I didn't even notice this my first playthrough, but when Rex touches the sealed-away third aegis sword in chapter 7, the image of the world being transformed is briefly displayed. I really don't know how I missed that. One last thing is that it is basically canon that Galea/the woman that tries to stop Klaus is Meyneth. It could be said that Galea was split in half as well, into Meyneth and, in the actual world, into the Infernal Guldo that you fight at the end of Morytha. That's not guaranteed, but it really wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
From what I gathered, Klaus created a new universe where half his body and supposedly Galea were transported. The core crystal, or whatever it was, would have been Alvis and transported as well. The rest of Klaus stayed in the same place which evolved overtime to be Alrest. That’s how I interpreted the connection between the games. Could be dead wrong, though. It also doesn’t really explain how X is involved at all.
honestly X feels really disconnected from the rest of the xenoblade games, i mean from what i can gather the only connection it had to the first game were some of the races and it having telethia but that is about it.
my idea for the X connection: in the time that Klaus was doing his experiments on the Conduit, the station was being attacked or something, right? well. what if the battle on earth shown in XCX was that same battle? anyone who could escape from earth did, but Klaus and some others stayed behind
no we dont (i think) but as long as its not officialy said that it was something else then aliens attacking in Klaus's time. is it not possible to assume that it could be the same aliens from XCX?
Also need to add that this strongly suggests that there might be a 3rd game due to the conduit leaving and the possibility that Alvis might be an Aegis, after all the true monado and the master blade tie too much into eachother to not suggest anything of that nature
Just beat this game tonight, and I beat xenoblade 1 over the summer, so the earthlike space scene was very fresh in my mind and I immediately noticed it when I played through 2. Wasnt going to look into it, thinking it was just a shoutout to 1, but happened to see your video in recommended and I'm very glad I watched. Didn't notice the architect was the same voice actor as shulk either, which was cool too.
Wait so when the Conduit left Elysium at the end of XB2 causing the station to fall apart, did it in reality respond to Shulk creating his new universe in XB1?
Holy shit! How is this comment not more widespread. Is the Zohar now in Shulk's universe?! Will that mess up their, "world with no god's" thing going on. Could XB3 be that??
My theory is that the events of xenoblade chronicles x is the starting and original timeline Xenoblade 1 and 2 are just happening parrel all to eachother that's why the endings are so similar in 1 and 2 X is the survivors who escaped the using the white whale and escaped that disater I know this becuase I think it was geotia who said somthing about a blinding light pushing them away from there which confirms xenoblade chronicles x is the original timeline that branches off and makes the 1 and 2 world's that are perrel
I still want X to be connected. Like when the fighting that happened before xenoblades earth was destroyed was from the opening in xenoblade X and them leaving earth for Mira. The legendary hero that never gets named in the beginning could have been Aion who is a mech that already trancends dimensions on its own with no explanation. The aliens that wanted to eradicate all humans because humans are literally the children of god and used to enslave them could be im reference to zanza being an evil god but that wouldnt make sense time wise
The Waslijn Then l guess Alvis was the first one ever created cuz he damn intelligent and knew about the other dimension. Plus gave shulk the power of being a god. Mythra and Malos are quite dumb near Alvis then. Which that part nakes it weird. Like how is Alvis way more intelligent than mythra and malos. Idk but kind of dont dig that Alvis is the 3rd aegis.
Just going to summarize the details in more detailed explanation. The Space-Time transition event Klaus activated wasn't just on a Universal scale, but a Multiversal scale. It destroyed one universe, but it gave birth to two universes at the same time. And it's further elaborated when the Architect says there exists an Endless/Infinite number of parallel universes. And the Nopon Archsage also mentions the existence of many timelines that the Land of Challenge links together. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenosaga might also be part of the same multiverse given the appearances of Elma, Kos-Mos, and T-elos.
In the ending cutscenes you can see that the titans of alrest cross between universes into shulks world. They appear to dock at the chest of the bionis.
@Brennan, Actually, I'm pretty sure he was talking about Alvis saying stuff like how he saw a whole new world filled with people walking towards the future hand-in-hand.
Love the video. Not sure if this is brought up in the comments, but in one of the final scenes with the Architect you can actually hear one of Shulk's final lines about killing a god, coming from the darker half of the Architect. I flipped when I heard this.
Actually no zanza is supposed to be the architects ignorant other half he created the world. not shulk. *Spoilers for those who haven't played xc1* Shulk is the shell of zanza. This is said when he finally ends the fight between the mechonis and the bionis.and gets betrayed by one of his best friends who was kind of like a fatherly figure...Dickson. One of the biggest plot twist ever imo.
I actually didn't notice anything when I saw the ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (probably because I haven't played the first one) but it made the ending even better because I had no idea about the satelite and stuff
Did anybody else think that when the Conduit disappeared, or at least the scene that plays after the credits, is the uniting of Xenoblade 1 and 2’s universes? We get to see two giant masses of land surrounded by water possibly one being from the first game and the one we see most from the second. It makes even more sense when you consider you see the universe being ‘rebuilt’ in the first game and alvis’s last words being something along the lines of “You now share this world with many others” and Shulk and Fiora wishing that they get the chance to go meet them.
St. Leemurt bud I’m there with you 100%. I’m praying that is the secret dlc they’ve been hyping up. Go back and look at the ending of XC1. It looks like the bodies of some titans lol. ALSO WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED HOW THIS TIES INTO XCX BECAUSE IT REALLY DOES *cries*
UsuiVB99 as far as I can tell, X is the universe where the experiment doesn't happen/succeed/even get approved. Meanwhile 1 and 2 are two halves of the same coin, eventuly(excuse the bad spelling) becoming one POSSIBLY.
I think its merely that the 2 parallel universe has the same conclusion, they find Elysium (in xc2's narrative at least) but they never truly merge they just seperate since Klaus dies and loses connection with Zansa and the conduit disappears from both Worlds. Also i like how its Zansa in XC1, a family name can symbolize pride and identity while Klaus is a first name and usually just tells you about the person themselves.
Btw, also before he klaus dies you hear the words of shulk killing zanza. So this isn't a theory, it's a fact. My exodus theory is an interesting theory though if you ask me
Problem is, in Xenoblade X's intro it's Aliens attacking Earth. The war in Ch10's intro was an entirely Human conflict similar to Universal Century Gundam, with which I assume the attacking side was some Zeon-esque faction.
If we think of Alvis as the third Aegis blade Ontos don't we run into two issue (Unless i am forgetting or not properly remembering something, which is a distinct possibility). 1. Having multiple drives Zanza, Shulk, and Mayneth tied to Alvis simultaneously. Which you could argue that it is all Zanza but. 2. Alvis (Ontos) does not bear the crystalline chest piece that the other Aegis's Malos(Logos)/Pyra and Mythra(Pneuma) all have. Unless The XBC1 universe follows different laws then the XBC2 universe. If i am wrong or overlooked something please tell me i am genuinely interested in this topic and possible future tie ins and implications for new XBC titles to come in the future. Like if Ontos isn't Alvis there could possibly be a third Universe to tie these things together, or more importantly what the hell is the story behind the artifact that Klaus is using in his experiment that splits his being into multiple dimensions.
Shulk was never Claus, Shulk was pretty much a clone vessel compatible for the Monado so Zanza/Claus could complete his plans. (cant be more specific I played Xenoblade on Wii, it's been a while)
Anyone know of any bits that make Xenoblade X a prequel to Xenoblade 1/2? I feel like that would be easy for Monolith to do and is my current head cannon.
T3DRAGOON I thought the design of the place below the cloud sea(can't remember the name) had a lot of similar structures as X, along with the artifices being like skells.
this may be a bit head cannony but i believe x was a sequel because of the god or chance or possibilty ( aka shulk true pottential/ the reason he has his on manado) and people worship him in the church and say that was the reason they survived impact etc with mirror also as another but simular concept the humans are related to a higher species who put a self destruct if the bad guys harmed the humans and i think whoever that was could have also been the architect or the like
What would happen if Klaus didn't recreate the universe? Would that mean Xenoblade chronicles X be an alternate universe or that game isn't part of this?
i got another idea. in the time that Klaus was doing his experiments on the Conduit, the station was being attacked or something, right? well. what if the battle on earth shown in XCX was that same battle? anyone who could escape from earth did, but Klaus and some others stayed behind?
there was this part when the architect said that his time draws near and if u listen to the part of him thats in another universe u could heard the words that shulk said to zanza, it goes something like 'this day we defeat a god' or something similar
Klaus also mentioned how there are "Infinite Universes". Meaning that Xenoblade X is another universe of it's own. What they will do for that games sequel would be interesting. One parallel in all three games, there's always a war going on below on Earth, assuming that it's Earth that is, that leads to the planets downfall. It would be a surprise if Mira was actually Earth reborn. That would be a plot twist
I didn't really understand the ending regarding the architect that much until I did research and realized they were referencing the first game that I didn't play, hopefully they port it to the switch so I can play it. Especially since they mentioned a third Aegis and people were speculating it to be "Alvis," from the first game but don't know much about him. Also played this with the Japanese voices so I did not know that the architect was voiced by the mc of the first game because I can't stand Rex's English voice and the accent since it don't not fit his character.
patrick watkins I recently got a new 3DS xl after a while but Xenoblade 3D is now hard to find. For example, Amazon has it for $80 to $90. I don't buy digital games on the Eshop unless there is sale which is unlikely because I haven't seen the game have a price drop. I don't buy any digital games for any console at full price unless there is a sale or price drop.
literally suck it up lol I was the same way for a while but just download it mate. Play it now digitally and if you feel so inclined to be a collector of sorts, purchase it later in physical form. Chuggaconroy also has an excellent LP of the XC1. His humor can be a little cringy but its a great lets play 90% of the time. Hes extremely knowledgeable about the game and even completes it 100%. Plus the game is so narrative heavy that you'll find you wont even be hearing Chugga for a long stretches of time. Whatever you do, please play Xenoblade Chronicles. I ask this as a friend lol
What about Xenoblade Chronicles X? They talk about the planet being in some kind of unusual space, preventing people from leaving (among other wierd stuff), couldn't that be in another one of these parallel dimensions - and this space is the same as where the planets in Xenoblade 1 & 2 are located? Hopefully X-2 will explore this further whenever it comes out.
I felt the same way, but now I am incredibly happy with the ending and couldn't be more excited about the possibility of a Xenoblade Chronicles X2 (We got a sequel to the first. Why not the second two?)
Nhat Anh Hoang will be great if they find a way to transfer the data of the created character of the first X to that hopefully someday sequel, kind of like mass effect.
I believe, the world in which Rex and titans arrive is the one Shulk created after getting rid of Zanza. During the end-game cinematic, when the titans are linking to the lands, did you noticed there were only two lands ? The lands created by the remains of Bionis and Mechonis ? (Sorry for my english, French guy talking)
I wonder what they will do for future games? This is what I've come up with: -They have given both of Klaus's dimensions a good ending, so they will move on to a completely unrelated story. -The next game takes place in one of the two dimensions in the future. (Xenoblade X isn't a distant sequel to Xenoblade 1 because Nopon were in the world Shulk created, not aliens.) -They make a prequel to Xenoblade 1 & 2 about what happened before Klaus created another universe. (This is the one I hope to see most.) -They make a sequel to Xenoblade 1 & 2 where the two universes merge.
I felt like the game was constantly building up to a big reveal being its connection to xenoblade 1 with that feeling getting stronger every second I played twards the end game but when their was no reveal of the sorts it was really upsetting. Even more so that the end of the story still left a ton of questions (that will hopefully be resolved in the DLC)
Watermelon Slime What do you mean? The cutscene when your hearing Shulk about to kill Zanza and Klaus even being in the xenoblade 2 world was a huge reavel that conferms that 1 and 2 our connected. Also out of curiosity, what questions do you want answered in the dlc story?
I think I missed the Shulk thing. I actually just found out about it earlier lol. and as far as things left unanswered, I found it extremely underwhelming that they never really did anything with the girl Jin was trying to save (it's been a while I can recall her name) I though Torna with the exception of Jin and Malos were very underdeveloped (from what I remember they really didn't go too much into their characters) and they never really touch on the third aegis. there are a lot of theories about the third aegis (mainly that it's Alvis) but I wish the game itself would go into some depth on it. and dont get me wrong I'm not saying the ending or the story are bad, in fact I think their amazing, it's really just nitpicks I have
Watermelon Slime I'm not 100% sure with the Lora thing but I think Jin was just keeping her body in stasis for sentimental reasons. I can agree with you about Torna tho to a certain extent.
I hate myself for this, but the difference between Zanza and Klaus can be summed up with a meme. Zanza: I have reset everything! I am the new god! Klaus: You fucked up a perfectly good universe, that's what you did.
a small link i noticed, is that we actually get to hear shulk in xbc2 !!! during the confrontation with malos at the space station, before aion, we see the architect for a few moments, and the voice that comes out of his portal half is shulks right before slaying zanza
Before watching this video, my theory was that The Land of Morytha was the world of Xenoblade 1, and that Klaus recreated the world, keeping the idea of Titans that make up the land. The theory that Xenoblade 1 and 2 are separate universes makes more sense though, especially since characters from both games are rumored to be in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
The event with Klaus might be linked to X as well actually. I never played X and only watched bits of the cutscenes, so I may be completely off. (Specifically the stuff towards the beginning, showing humanity fleeing earth.) The Skrell's that were being piloted against the (Goetia?) looked similar to the Artifice's shown in 2. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Life Pods fled earth and as a result were not deleted when Klaus activated the Conduit. Leading to X being set thousands of years before 1 and 2 in the original universe.
Bionis' remains at the end where the titans connect? Bionis/Mechonis are titans? Alvis is Ontos? Each Blade is to a Driver just as Monado/Zanza is to Shulk? Maybe at the end everyone meets there at that land.
At the very end when the cast finally reached Elysium, and the titans are joining to the land, that world, is the same world that Shulk created at the end of Xenoblade 1. Which means that they may actually meet, and would be a great idea for Xenoblade 3.
my understanding is that the games doesn't exist in the same universe but the architect is that connection to both games, it show that the other half of the body of the architect exist in a different dimension, and it was fading, my understand is that's the half that shulk defeated (from the cut scenes i've watched, i've only played the second game)
I haven't seen anyone make this theory but in the end of xc2 I think the new world they went to was the one Shulk created. In the end of xc1 Alvis mentioned that there's more out there in Shulk's world. Shulk said he wanted to meet them all.
Remember the cutscenes at the final boss, if you listen close you hear shulk say “we use our power to fell a God” 2 is a parallel world, when Rex and the others meet Klaus he says, soon I will be no more. Because in the other world from 1 he will be no more as well.
I'm really surprised you didn't mention how near the end you literally hear Shulk's voice say something like "Today we kill a god" or something like that from the XC1 universe through the portal that Klaus's body is in.
I know this is old, but it's called, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The connect is inherent in the name. Isn't this like saying "Oh wow, that's so cool that Master Chief and the Covenant from Halo have a connection to the Master Chief and Covenant in Halo 2."
I was so hype when this shit started happening at the start of chapter 7 and then even more right near the end when he says his time is almost up and you just hear the dialogue happening in parallel of Zanza vs Shulk
There are a few points I'd like to add, one is that they happen at the same time. Once you drop Xenoblade 2's final boss to a third of his health you hear the dialogue from the ending cutscene of the original game, and the Architect says that he can feel his other form is not long for this world. The Architect also refers to a third aegis, who is most likely Alvis. It's also a small detail, but in the original Zanza mentions that he completes himself with the other half by using the monado from the Mechonis, and the parts of him that get healed by the Mechonis are all on his left side, which is the same area that the Architect is missing. Not sure if there's a connection there but it's a detail I thought might be worth metnioning
Xenoblade Chronicles And Xenoblade Chronicles 2 go on at the exact same time
Yup!
this makes so much sense cause as you are fighting Aion the portal on Klaus left side is SAYING what happens as you defeat Zanza in xb1 and after Zanza is fell, Klaus dies and the conduit is sent elsewhere. I believe this will be the story in dlc 2 the party gets warped to where the conduit it (probably where Galea ended up)
Mante Armstrong Galea ending up in the same world as the first one; she is Meyneth
Mante Armstrong Nah I'm 98% sure the DLC story won't be a sequel. The devs keep saying things like, "You can play the DLC story without even playing the 'original''
JDMD no the end of Xenoblade 1 where they kill Zanza happens before the end of the malos fight
During the final boss, once you drop about a third of his health it plays a cutscene. During that cutscene klaus/architect says the time is nigh and you can hear shulk say "today we use our powers to fell a god"
Brian Zhen I was about to say that but I was looking in the comments to see if that was already mentioned 😅
also zeke is really feeling it
itsthefuturezuraaa That made me happy when I heard that for the first time! I love all the little references to the first Xenoblade Chronicles!
@@nicksmith7206 Ditto, actually.
@@bigshezfan everyone is feeling it
there are also theories that the third aegis crystal that was lost to another dimension was alvis/the monado from the first game.
patrick watkins It is Alvis
It's obviously Alvis (It's first name is Ontos though)
I was gonna say. I think Ontos, the missing core crystal, is Alvis.
Malos's weapon isn't THE Monado, it's A Monado
Augustine Vega Not a Monado, I think it's just a sword with cool japanese words on a crystal 😂😂😂
JuegaPeloEscarola Nah. He says it's a Monado when he uses his arts. Like "MONADO SLASH" or something like that.
Augustine Vega Oooh okay okay i didn't realised that 😅
Augustine Vega If it was A MONADO it would have phased though Rex
ZedaGirlfriend-AlexGamerD- Not necessarily... its unknown whether meyneths monado could hurt the people, I believe Zanza only locked the monado's power to keep the vessel from hurting himself
i lost it at the moment we found out half of Klaus’ body was in another dimension. EVERYTHING snapped into place at that very moment
Samurott Gaming Inc. I lost it when I could-mostly- confirm that XCX is the world where Klaus sent the whole place to hell.
The one thing I’m confused about is how Zanza isn’t missing half his body during Xenoblade 1. Did he just regenerate it using his powers?
@@bandanadeesupremacy332 I read somewhere that, because he wasn't whole, he wanted to be regenerated by using Shulk. Somewhere in the game, he makes Shulk go into a coma or something and that's when he's finally able to "be".
@@painof7 X, like the name implies, is more of a Final Fantasy type sequel. Same concepts, lots of references, but not connected.
However, 2 is, again as the name implies, the second part of the same story.
When Xenoblade becomes more complicated than Hyrule Historia
sLasHeRxXx07 So freaking true. Still having ptsd over BOTW
D.J. Ferguson wonder why it won GOTY tho. just finished it and it felt like the MGSV or Xeno X of the Zelda games
sLasHeRxXx07 well BOTW came out just after 2016 a very meh year for gaming
Zelda's timeline isn't that complicated
Boastful Toast hell yeah. The truth was in front of us all along. I literally screamed "hey it's the Bionis and Mechonis lol"
fernando98322 And thats why the "dark" half has a Xord-esque arm HOW DO I MISS ALL THIS SHIT?!
Adrian Cardona because Monolith is cheeky
Can we also bring up that they snatched a line from xenoblade 1 for this final boss?
At the end where you fight malos, there is a cutscene where you can hear shulk saying " today we slay a god...." and that happend in the original
Which was also when Klaus said that there isn't much time left.
He says “today we use our power to fell a god”
"Today we use our power to fell a god....and seize our destiny!"
yea, that was Klaus "perishing" in the other universe. Shulk killing Zanza, which is why the architect died. the events are happening at the same time in both universes
Zelda hyrule, man, I didnt see this comment before typing mine, good on you for noticing
Finally someone that tells correctly what happened!! There aren't a lot of people that really got the story
thunderhogTH Exactly.
If you put Zeke in your party he shouts during battle: "I'm really feeling it!".
Morag also says "lets engage the enemy" but thats not a shitty normie meme its a song so noone cares
Rowan Carroll the fact that I main her and didn't realize what that was pisses me right off.
Put Shulk on Zeke
@@AAA-vf2qr "We're really feeling it!"
XC2 was a legit parallel. This is straight canon. They even use the line in XC2 straight FROM XC1: Today, we use our power to fell a god, and then seize our destiny!!!!
This was at the exact moment when Shulk killed Zanza
Brian V Yup! It really is a nice touch to finish and conclude the game. I loved the references made in XC2.
lady mayneth I loved the combat, much easier and more intuitive than 1 and also chain attacks are busted as hell if you know how to use them, I finished malos while being 2 levels under with an elemental burst of 4 orbs with green pyra charging my gaugue to 100% and doing more than 1.5 million damage
It speeds up when you get later into the game. You charge your Arts faster, can switch faster between blades and have other abilities unlocked to give you more options.
And in the end both find their Elysium
question:what would have happened if rex did not actually do it?
Yup it's connected. It's called XC2 for a reason. It ties up some loose ends from first, it's a sequel in a weird way.
crownlessking7 they we are getting dlc and might lead xenoblade 3 rex and shulk
People believed that they have nothing to do with Xenoblade 1 much like how there's more than 15 final fantasy titles but they're not all connected
Alvis is also heavily implied to be the third Aegis Ontos which also implies that the Aegises are also really Monados which is supported by Malos's blade weapon being a Monado and capable of using Monado arts
and mythra's foresight ability, also during your last fight with Jin he mentions the ability to change reality which was a power the aegis' had and alvis said something similar about the monado.
but why doesnt mythra or even pneuma have a monado tho?
Misha Their weapon quite clearly resembles a Monado.
it's missing the symbols in the middle but the third sword does look very similar to the true monado.
xXBoogiepopXx it really doesn't. The poppi qt pi sword looks more like the monado than any of the pneuma forms.
It was said that 3 Aegises were around but 1 disappeared after that event. Could that be Alvis?
Nero Tex or maybe Elma?
I believe the 3rd Aegis is what the 2018 story DLC is gonna be about.
I also think that it's Alvis, because he says at the end of XC1 that he was a computer that was used for an experiment.
I think avis is the 3rd ages because
he is both a sword and a person aka a blade
Also i think he is the person talking in the tutoreals, the reason i say this is because the person talking is being a lot more personal than most voices.
Well, Xenoblade is Nintendo’s Final Fantasy.
Whalefox Johnson more like chrono trigger and chrono cross
JuegaPeloEscarola Not to mention Alvis says he is Monado, aka a sword, aka a Blade. Fits quite well, I think
makes perfect sense
But didn't alvis claim he is the assistant software, but the aegises are the core processors. So by this Onthos is still out there somewhere
Who meyneth malos and mythra?
So Klaus have 『MADE IN HEAVEN』
Dereck Ramos THIS MUST BE THE WORK OF AN ENEMY STAND
In that space station they was actually trying to recreate the universe using the Zohar, that can connect Even with Xenosaga and Xenogears dimensions.
Jonahplay but those games are entirely irrelevant to the XenoBLADE series. unless if Nintendo buys the rights to those games
sLasHeRxXx07 yeah, theres no connection, but all the xeno stories, still around the zohar
sLasHeRxXx07 it is relevant.
You’ve lost me there unless I just took what you said wrong.
marc richards No Zanza is a part of Klaus. It's really fucking weird and complicated.
Augustine Vega oh yeah I know that. He’s technically half of Klaus though isn’t he haha. 😂
As far as I know, Zanza a is the other half of Claus, Shulk is pretty much a clone that looks like Zanza/Claus. (haha, Zanza Claus...)
In the original he had a key around his neck, now it's the core crystal - Monolith couldn't make it any clearer that Alvis is the third Aegis xdd
John Rairdin that's just your head canon.
I'd love a third xenoblade that would tie together 1, 2 and X.
I'm not sure how but I'd love to see it
How u doing there
@@dylanr.7760 Living the dream buddy, got my Xenoblade 3
I JUST realized what Ontos is! At the end of XC1, Alvis reveals himself as an admin computer to Shulk. In XC2, we find out that the Aegises, Pyra/Mythra and Malos (Pneuma and Logos) are also admin computers, part of a large super computer called the Trinity Processor. When Klaus activated the Conduit, creating the Xenoblade universes, Ontos disappeared while Pneuma and Logos stayed behind.
Coincidence? Alvis MUST be Ontos! That would have made him he third Aegis!

I got instantly too. They make it pretty clear that the games take place at the same time but in different universes, plus it would make sense for the same man to come up with the same ide of having his people living on titans.
TheChazzyC I got it the instant it happened. I recognize that orbital station anywhere.
It could be said that the reason why the architect in xeno2 is dying is because his other half is dying in xeno1. When you think of it like that, it can be inferred that the stories of xenoblade 1 and 2 are actually happening simultaneously.
i think that is what is implied since he mentions he didn't have much time left.
They are happening at the same time because SPOILERS :
A bit later in XC2, just before the final boss, The architect hears shulk famous line before he finish Zanza, then he say "Rex, Hurry".
Yeah because when zanza die's, he will die too!
Likely
Mor Ardin- caldros
Uraya- syvalem
Tantal after decaying- obliva(massive metal rings like in tantal)?
Gormot-Noctilem
The land -primordia
WOW
I'd have to argue that gormott became primordia and noctilum and was just split. Also that when the architect died, he left behind the telethia (the planets guardian and culler of impure life.)
In addition, I believe that more ardain became Oblivia and temperentia became cauldros, not the other way around
This is mind-blowing after not realizing the similarities between the scenes from both games and it really clicks!
you missed one crucial thing in one of the ending cutsenes. a line from shulk in xenoblade 1's end cutscenes apears in xenoblade 2's endscenes. particulary (correct me if im wrong) the part were shulk wishes for a world with no gods.
ZeldaPlayer 9000 Wrong. it was the "power to fell a god" line. final phase malos and final phase zanza happens at the same time
ZeldaPlayer 9000 "Today, we used our power to fell a god and then, seize our destiny!" :)
TorchicEX it was the fraction of time before zanza became corrupt
how could alvis know about the architect tho and yes he probably is onthos
Bringing the characters from XBC1 and XBC2 together for a game would be mind blowingly awesome (not sure if that would even work, but would still be awesome!)
sonicchaos23 imagine a Pneuma(pyra and mythras true form that wields a monado? That would be sick.
Hello there
bro saw the future
The universe splits in 3 ways. Alvis spoke of it. Can't wait for this September!!!!!
Bruh I hope they make a crossover of Shulk and Rex working together.
weesnaws12345 Now you have it
DLC
You know, I wonder if “Elesium” was actually Bionis when its corpse sunk
i thought the same thing
I probably won't be getting her on my current playthrough because this system is almost as bad as lootboxes, I hope they patch this system to make them much easier to obtain.
you get a few rare blades via sidequests
Yeah I know that, but for a completionist the current system is a nightmare. Luckily there are some things you can do with the common blades in the Merc system, but I ran into a situation where I needed a bunch of 35+ strength blades and only the rare blades were like that. I got Wulfric from the story quest and I randomly got Adinine, but 300+ resonances later I haven't gotten any other rare blades that meets that requirement. I can't buy out all the shops in each town because this RNG system is holding me back and that is infuriating.
Characters with higher luck have more chances to get rare blades, and legendary cores gives like 50% chances of getting a rare
Then, only one universe was created, that one where Zanza is (Shulk's universe).
xehan Yup, pretty much. In the end, the experiment landed some consequences to Klaus and now he regrets for what he did.
xehan I’ll leave this here as well.....
That’s not even the best part. (Also if anyone disagrees with this then they need their 5 senses checked)
The time stamp at the start of this cutscene places this moment around
20XX
Thing is earth was glasses and evacuated in 2054.
Wait...what makes you think only one universe was born that day. Klaus wasn't the only one in that station you know.
I always thought The Ruins of morytha are NLA from Xenoblade X because they Look soooooo similar
Senorex Yeah when I was playing through the game I had my own little head cannon thing that Mira is the world that the Beanstalk was made on. It never specifically stated what world it was (if I remember correctly). But really there’s not enough evidence to support either ways
St. Leemurt wouldn’t it make more sense if the white whale arc ship escaped around the same point klaus used the conduit
The Architect That’s definitely a possibility, but I have no idea if either are correct.
There are even more nods to XC1, though most of them are Easter eggs instead of actual links:
There is a character Bana, a nopon, in both games, as well as a quest about him called "Bana the Betrayer".
And galea is meyneth
my idea for the X connection: in the time that Klaus was doing his experiments on the Conduit, the station was being attacked or something, right? well. what if the battle on earth shown in XCX was that same battle? anyone who could escape from earth did, but Klaus and some others stayed behind
The Waslijn That battle on earth was from an alien species. Do we know if the battle Klaus was a part of was also by aliens?
no we dont (i think) but as long as its not officialy said that it was something else then aliens attacking in Klaus's time. is it not possible to assume that it could be the same aliens from XCX?
Also need to add that this strongly suggests that there might be a 3rd game due to the conduit leaving and the possibility that Alvis might be an Aegis, after all the true monado and the master blade tie too much into eachother to not suggest anything of that nature
My mind has been blown
just like planet earth....... ok that was bad
Rekencavia 2001 ill let it slide lol
Just beat this game tonight, and I beat xenoblade 1 over the summer, so the earthlike space scene was very fresh in my mind and I immediately noticed it when I played through 2. Wasnt going to look into it, thinking it was just a shoutout to 1, but happened to see your video in recommended and I'm very glad I watched.
Didn't notice the architect was the same voice actor as shulk either, which was cool too.
Wait so when the Conduit left Elysium at the end of XB2 causing the station to fall apart, did it in reality respond to Shulk creating his new universe in XB1?
friendlyelites well it would seem to be the zohar from xenogears so probably not
Holy shit! How is this comment not more widespread. Is the Zohar now in Shulk's universe?! Will that mess up their, "world with no god's" thing going on. Could XB3 be that??
My theory is that the events of xenoblade chronicles x is the starting and original timeline
Xenoblade 1 and 2 are just happening parrel all to eachother that's why the endings are so similar in 1 and 2
X is the survivors who escaped the using the white whale and escaped that disater
I know this becuase I think it was geotia who said somthing about a blinding light pushing them away from there which confirms xenoblade chronicles x is the original timeline that branches off and makes the 1 and 2 world's that are perrel
I gotchu fam. ALSO THANN YOU FOR BEING THE 4th person TO ASK, BUT THE FIRST TO TRY AND GIVE SOME ANSWER!!
Here’s your reward
That’s not even the best part. (Also if anyone disagrees with this then they need their 5 senses checked)

At 6:19 I really love that look at Pyrah's ascended form. The leotard outer shape really highlights the snug central lower curve.
Now what what happen to that 3rd aegis
probably alvis from xc1
iownalx23 but wasnt he some sort of machine
the Aegis's are computer prosserors. Pyra/Mythra, Malos are two. and then there is Alvis from XC1
Idk but kind of dont dig that Alvis is the 3rd aegis.
mabey, but that could be explained by the fact that Alvis's computer side did way more prossesing then the other two? idk, lol
I belive that xenoblade x is a prequel
In the ending cutscenes you can see that the titans of alrest cross between universes into shulks world. They appear to dock at the chest of the bionis.
before you cut it off theres one more key line of dialogue from the first game the player hears and it essentially puts it all together.
iownalx23 that's in a later scene. I know I'm spoiling stuff but I tried not to show more than necessary to make the point :)
Tell us dude nobody is here unless they want to get spoiled
Shulk saying "Today we use our power to fell a god and seize our destiny!"
brennan weaver I thought that's what it was. Almost as if you could hear shulk on the other side of the hole.
Actually no zanza is supposed to be the architects ignorant other half he created the world. not shulk.
*Spoilers for those who haven't played xc1*
Shulk is the shell of zanza.
I did think this. I was like, are they gonna be in the new World Shulk created?? Then I realized it was just the Titans of Alrest coming together.
it seems highly likely, honestly i thought it was going to end up being mira
I like how the protagonist all have a sword so reminiscent of monado.
What if when the earth got destroyed by klaus, exodus got away thinking it was the cinflict that destroyed the earth?
Linking all the games
Btw, also before he klaus dies you hear the words of shulk killing zanza. So this isn't a theory, it's a fact. My exodus theory is an interesting theory though if you ask me
Problem is, in Xenoblade X's intro it's Aliens attacking Earth. The war in Ch10's intro was an entirely Human conflict similar to Universal Century Gundam, with which I assume the attacking side was some Zeon-esque faction.
Edward V.D. Meer you do realise alien's annihalated earth right? Klaus totally faked 2 alien races (more in fact)
(Meric) i thought that the peopl who escaped could have missed it and thought it was the aliens. When it actually was zanza
You forgot to mention there’s like a 70% chance both the XC1 and XC2 both have them move to the same world.
Atleast it appears that way to me.
Truestm id say more of an 80-90% chance
Truestm Everyone should think this and hope for it lmao.
Hoping that’ll be the secret dlc
UsuiVB99 same
I mean, can you imagine best character(melia) meeting her double(nia)
Congratulations! You don't win anything but you get to feel a sense of pride and superiority!
I agree. I hit the bottom and thought "Holy cow this is a sequel to X not the fantasy one!"
this may be a bit head cannony but i believe x was a sequel because of the god or chance or possibilty ( aka shulk true pottential/ the reason he has his on manado) and people worship him in the church and say that was the reason they survived impact etc with mirror also as another but simular concept the humans are related to a higher species who put a self destruct if the bad guys harmed the humans and i think whoever that was could have also been the architect or the like
Maybe instead of earth, Klaus reset planet mira
PersonMan of Bacon unlikely because in 1 during the final run up to the last boss you travel through our solar system
Anyone notice the part where shulk is speaking to zanza and u can hear it while it focuses on klaus' missing half in the mid final boss cutscene
What would happen if Klaus didn't recreate the universe? Would that mean Xenoblade chronicles X be an alternate universe or that game isn't part of this?
SukiChan It isn't explicitly stated that Klaus reset Earth. He may have reset planet Mira post XCX
PersonMan of Bacon
Oh ok
i got another idea. in the time that Klaus was doing his experiments on the Conduit, the station was being attacked or something, right? well. what if the battle on earth shown in XCX was that same battle? anyone who could escape from earth did, but Klaus and some others stayed behind?
yeah, something like that :D
also, thank you, i thought it was a good way to explain the stuff in the games as well
I-Regret-Nothing I’ll give you the same comment I posted earlier
there was this part when the architect said that his time draws near and if u listen to the part of him thats in another universe u could heard the words that shulk said to zanza, it goes something like 'this day we defeat a god' or something similar
Also played this with the Japanese voices so I did not know that the architect was voiced by the mc of the first game because I can't stand Rex's English voice and the accent since it don't not fit his character.
you can get the first game on the new 3ds if you have one of those.
patrick watkins I recently got a new 3DS xl after a while but Xenoblade 3D is now hard to find. For example, Amazon has it for $80 to $90. I don't buy digital games on the Eshop unless there is sale which is unlikely because I haven't seen the game have a price drop. I don't buy any digital games for any console at full price unless there is a sale or price drop.
why against digital so much? especially when it seems to be about half the price as the physical copies.
patrick watkins I prefer physical copies of my games rather than digital.
literally suck it up lol I was the same way for a while but just download it mate.
Hopefully X-2 will explore this further whenever it comes out.
lol at first I was kinda pissed because I thought this was just a blatant copy and paste from XC1... ugggghhhh
"shulk has a habit of creating new universes"
you say that so nonchalant
I believe, the world in which Rex and titans arrive is the one Shulk created after getting rid of Zanza. During the end-game cinematic, when the titans are linking to the lands, did you noticed there were only two lands ? The lands created by the remains of Bionis and Mechonis ?
(Sorry for my english, French guy talking)
I wonder what they will do for future games? This is what I've come up with:
-They have given both of Klaus's dimensions a good ending, so they will move on to a completely unrelated story.
-The next game takes place in one of the two dimensions in the future. (Xenoblade X isn't a distant sequel to Xenoblade 1 because Nopon were in the world Shulk created, not aliens.)
-They make a prequel to Xenoblade 1 & 2 about what happened before Klaus created another universe. (This is the one I hope to see most.)
-They make a sequel to Xenoblade 1 & 2 where the two universes merge.
Klaus: You fucked up a perfectly good universe, that's what you did.
thank you for the explanation s2 brazil here.
a small link i noticed, is that we actually get to hear shulk in xbc2 !!! during the confrontation with malos at the space station, before aion, we see the architect for a few moments, and the voice that comes out of his portal half is shulks right before slaying zanza
Also a cool link
In chronicles 1 Egil (I think) says the manado will not permit the existence of anything but itself
Which links to Malos’ gold in 2
Mythra has the power of foresight and can see visions of the future just like Shulk.
I haven't seen anyone make this theory but in the end of xc2 I think the new world they went to was the one Shulk created. In the end of xc1 Alvis mentioned that there's more out there in Shulk's world. Shulk said he wanted to meet them all.
Remember the cutscenes at the final boss, if you listen close you hear shulk say “we use our power to fell a God”
2 is a parallel world, when Rex and the others meet Klaus he says, soon I will be no more. Because in the other world from 1 he will be no more as well.
I'm really surprised you didn't mention how near the end you literally hear Shulk's voice say something like "Today we kill a god" or something like that from the XC1 universe through the portal that Klaus's body is in.
Also I think both of the time lines combine because in the original they say that they need to go out and find the new people aka Rex’s time line
I know this is old, but it's called, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The connect is inherent in the name. Isn't this like saying "Oh wow, that's so cool that Master Chief and the Covenant from Halo have a connection to the Master Chief and Covenant in Halo 2."
Never heard of Final Fantasy?
For a guy who only played Xenoblade Chronicles 2.. it's gonna make sense. But I still need too play the game for myself
