This is hands-down the best bike I've seen at that price point. Its a viable replacement for any other sportbike. It has enough power to not be weak-sauce like say the ninja 250 was(those bikes were still fun, so speed's not the most important thing) The fact that people consider the lower CC sportbikes "beginner bikes" is a misnomer anyway.... these bikes, especially THIS one, are for any level of rider. Controllable for the noob, nimble and fun for the experienced rider... and this one in my HUMBLE opinion, is by far the best value. BY FAR. IF this catches on to ANY degree and the aftermarket picks up for this bike, it'll be a contender for decades to come.
I just bought this bike had for like 3 weeks, as for now I’m completely happy with my purchase! My only complaint was I’m 6ft 1 so to me I was sitting a bit low I called the dealership and there was a riser seat available for the bike which is more comfortable! But you get more for your buck if comparing to the Kawasaki ninja 400 a lot more! Don’t sleep on this bike it’s worth it another thing as he said in the video the exhaust I went with an SC project exhaust bikes sounds much better an more power
I went to the Kawi dealership around my way to grab some gear and they had one of these sitting in the showroom next to all the Ninjas. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It has the body lines of a much more premium machine. Almost Ducatiesque. Been riding for 20 years and got so used to seeing the same old machines. This little little guy screams take me to the twistys! I've been riding cruisers for the past decade but really want to get a little track toy and drag some knee again. There's something satisfying about wringing out a small displacement engine. Got a feeling I'll be adding this one to the stable soon.
What a time to be a new rider. 2023 feels like 1970's-1980's all over again with the Big 4 coming out of nowhere and killin't it. I wonder what CFMOTO's will be the collectible model to buy two of them ; Ride one, keep one for 30 years like the Mopar guys of the 70's.
Never heard of CF Moto until I saw a 300 in a parking lot the other day. Was really surprised to see how NICE it was for the money. Definitely a great starter bike for someone learning to ride on the street, but I suspect most will want to upgrade to a bigger bike at some point.
Ive been riding since I was 9 years old and have had several streat bikes all the way up to an R1. I just picked up a 450ss and I love it. Its so light and fun to rip the through the canyons here in colorado. I love the way it looks and its basically become my daily commuter.
@@SenateKT-uc2id Nice!! I'm planning a ride to Colorado to go see my buddy who has a nuclear missile silo in Bennett (next to DIA). I'm looking forward to hitting the twisties on 70.
@tannersecora3559 I don't know anything about Suzuki's 400 but I prefer the cf moto over the ninja 400. It looks better, has higher end components, and walks away from it when we race.
this bike looks so aggressive, it almost looks like an r7-r1 love the sleek look, and both the front and rear of the bike compliment each other so well
Thanks for the quick review, go with manual focus for camera next time with a cine lens and manual scroll wheel. Just curious what camera you're using? Also, very exciting bike. I am looking at the 800 ibex T but love the small sport bike they have too, what a value proposition for the new 450ss! being a Kawasaki fan I would pick this bike hands down, and like you have rode lots of bikes this one just looks like a nice fun ride.
TST Industries makes a tail tidy kit for the SS and the NK 450 models that is reasonably affordable that really changes the look of the tail section. Yoshimura has a slip on that not only makes the bike sound amazing but also increases the performance by 6.5% HP and 10% torque. If you do a cat delete header and can then Dyno tune it really wakes this bike up. I seen a video where a guy run it on a Dyno in bone stock format and it made 46.9 HP at the rear wheel so it probably makes more than 50hp at the crank. Color me totally impressed.
Is it true that spark plug replacement is every 6,000 miles and dealer only due to gas tank removal? It's a non-standard size and I haven't found a long life iridium plug that size.
ONE thing I have learned with my 400NK is that if you do not have the Intelligent Terminal Box (T-Box) for short, you won't be able to bind the bike to the app . CFMOTO use to install the TBox from factory in the bikes at first and now it's an add on. Since these bikes are catching on in the USA it might be installed already to up sales at first. There is a great deal of info recorded on the app like hard breaking ,driving behavior ,tire pressure, and so on, which can be good to have.
My 2022 700 CL-X has the same high beam switch. And it has cruise control. I am beginning to become a CFMoto fan. I have been riding Harleys for 30 years but as I get older I find myself wiser and more interested in comfort and function than " cool " and "American made" which is a joke anymore in general especially give that Harleys are half foreign anyway.
Yo, great video and all, but please figure out how to work on that auto focus, get your camera person into some class, or learn to edit videos better and just cut to what you're talking about
I looked on their website to find where they sold any CFmoto's near me, and the closest dealership that has the 450SS in stock is a couple hours away, and they want like $5,500 for it. I could get a Yamaha R3 for the same price at the dealership five minutes from my house. I thought these CFMoto 450SS's were supposed to be inexpensive. I could probably find a Kawasaki Ninja 400 for about the same price. It seems like the R3 or Ninja 400 would be a better choice, because despite the lower engine displacement, both brands have a much more proven track record of reliability and not leaving customers high and dry, if they have a recall or something goes wrong. I guess the CFMoto's have some kind of warranty too, and I guess just because I had never heard of them until recently might not really mean anything.
Go compare the specs of either of the bikes you listed to this one. Look at the features this bike has compared to them. This is also a 270 degree crank angle which on top of having more power than either of those bikes sounds a whole lot better. So it looks better, sounds better, has way more tech and other features, and is priced similarly. The engine is a KTM, and compared to the parallel twin engines in the bikes you listed they sound like a lawnmower in comparison. I have a feeling you just wanted to leave this comment to insult CF Moto for not being one of the big 4 brands, but here's a good video breaking down the difference in features if you happen to care: ua-cam.com/video/WuSGGoWzFX4/v-deo.html
Well this R7 destroyed the Aprilia RS660 at the recent Isle of Man TT in the Super Twin class. That Aprilia has way too much electronics on a bike with less than 100hp at the wheel. Crazy to pay that much for an Aprilia that will be more in the workshop than on the road, when you can have Yamaha reliability at cheaper pricepoint.
they have SuperSport w\ this 450 Crossplane engine, they have a Naked (NK) w\ this engine, all they have to do is put a lighter CL-X Adventure w\ this engine -- and the moto world will quake!!
Your auto focus sucks. Stick to manual focus if you're going to keep using this camera. Had to shut off the video at the 2 minute mark because it was actually bugging my eyes.
Man the flood of reviews of this chinese bike makes me wonder if the company is fronting all these reviews. All 100% positive nothing wrong with a chinese knockoff. Mmmmmmmm
So we are questioning chinese moto while China has best quality manufactures on this world atm whereas Japanese\german cooperates with Thailand/India/Pakistani/Mexico factories?
You can’t tell me that tail light isn’t a halo energy sword
Yesss😂
Yeah, one of the reasons I like it so much.
Looking good tho

Yes and obviously obviously obviously too many padder words. But otherwise very good. I want one.

@RealAnimeBadGuy I'm 6.2 and really fell nice at least for me I don't own one of this yet but I'm trying get it as soon as possible.

The explanation is very detailed, but what I have to complain about is that the picture shakes too much, and the focus is often lost.
probably filmed on an iphone they mount to a bike. the vibration breaks the camera on the newer ones.

haha in china we can buy a new one cost about 4000 dollars😂

Great video! The camera focus was killing me man
60 Mph in 2nd Gear? Has the bike gone through the break-in process? Cheers. Just got mine Recently!

How well does it work alongside the various popular helmet headsets, e.g. Cardio models?
handsome and neat design. i like the belly exhaust.

Yes it is amazing bike for the city.
can you enlighten me if that temp figure is for the bike or the environment?
The temp gauge is for engine temperature
Wish my gixxer had that dash gauge
i think soon they wanna released a single sided swingarm variant for 2023.5 or 2024 model for 450
I would pull the trigger if one of their super sports had duel brakes I swear
Yes, it has already been sold

Will that engine hold long rides?
Would be even better with quick shifter..up and down
