I've had a BMW M4 Comp pack and I pick up my RS5 next weekend. The M4 was a sublime machine, very fast in a straight line and amazing round corners, but it's too harsh for UK roads. Oh and it is useless in the wet and cold as it has no traction at all. Even from 4th gear. The Audi on the other hand is both more comfortable and launches harder than anything this side of a 911 Turbo - so after a very thorough test drive it's my new daily!

AWD is only necessary if you live in the snow belt, pointless in normal driving. And unlike Audis or Benzs people actually do track BMWs you've clearly never been on a track day - the majority of cars are always BMWs.
In this test they were competing under the "sports coupé" banner but I'm not sure if they are all sports coupés. M4=sports coupé. RS5=comfortable grand tourer and it probably drives and handles as such. C63S=big, heavy muscle car with a crazy thumping engine. All great cars.
Siyasanga - not agreeing total but to comment on these machines I would say M4 is a superior with a least power,older version and at less price to outsmart the likes of Audi RWD advantage and C63 V8 power, with CS coupe the margin would be far better and new M4 coming in 2020 it will be on another level..M division is leveraging the M class...a standard M car to outsmart top range RS and AMG, CP and CS are on another level

Unfortunately none of them come close to a Porsche 911, which is a true interpretation of a sports coupe in my opinion. The Merc is the poser. The Audi the daily driver. The BMW weekend car. All great in their own right, but I’d have the Audi any day. The refinement of the car is on another level and is probably the most fun at seven tenths as you can’t push any of them on public roads.
How did you come to this conclusion without driving any of them? The amount of power in the Audi isn't exactly built for public roads either, somewhat of an ironic comment you've made.

All great cars and I don't think you can go wrong with either of those 3. These type of tests are always fun to watch but that being said, how many people who buy these cars will actually push them to the limit on a race track?Most of these cars will probably never come close to a race track. I think the Audi is definitely set up to be more of a daily driver sports coupe / soft sports coupe, thereby sacrificing on track performance whereas the BMW is a proper performance based sports coupe. If I had to choose, it would be between the Audi and BMW - but I think I would rather take the Audi.

They did straight line battles and RS fast on 0-60 but M4 catch up on 400m, C63 not fast on both I guesse it lack traction control on interior/technology it's a matter of preference, exterior wise I would say M4 has it, that muscular look

The M4 CS is specifically lightened and modded for the track. It was shod in cup tyres, sticky and great in this situation but shite on the roads The P Zero on the Audi and I think the Merc work on the roads but are not good for the track.That's fine though the M4 CS should be better on a track and it was but its not apples with apples. Its likely the standard M4 would not beat an RS5 or Merc . They could have evened this up by spec e.g. carbon fibre brakes, dynamic ride control and electronic diff and sports exhaust all options on the RS no doubt similar in the Merc available. I don't buy cars for the track I want something that is a great all rounder and has an element of practicality but can change its character when you feel like it. The M4CS however good on the track is a one trick pony, the Merc is virtually undrivable fast under most conditions so it would be RS5 with dynamic ride and electronic diff options for me as a daily and a hooner when i feel like it.

I agree the rs5 is a better daily driver, the Bimmer is a better track toy.
