Hey, I've got a question. I want to start a small business with creating small-medium websites using Wordpress, creating custom themes with my own wireframes on figma and I'm just wondering if this approach can still compete with apps like Wix and Divi etc. in which I can create websites much faster?
Obviously your question wasn’t intended for me, but maybe it’s somewhat helpful… The one thing I would consider is that if a custom theme is necessary. Wordpress is extremely powerful, you can basically develop anything you can possibly need an application to do using Wordpress as the foundation and the machine powering it.. saying that, if you are looking for speed when it comes to producing websites, custom themes for each client probably wouldn’t be the best way to go for many reasons… a client would probably benefit more from a theme that is already out there and you just set up the website using Wordpress. Wordpress will allow you to scale if necessary down the road.
