Elon is not the creator of Tesla, but he is the creator of SpaceX, Boring Company, and kind of created PayPal and was then kicked out. Elon invested into Tesla Motors, invested quite a lot, became chairman of the board of directors, later due to some issues one of the CEO was basically kicked out and Musk then took over. This is very tl;dr of Tesla's history. I just really like Musk and know a lot of trivia about him :D
the last few lines were very good but the punches were a bit weak for me since it is not like paypal got bought out they Sold it to Ebay. He was not fired from Tesla he stepped down as chairman in 2018 but remained CEO of the company. But I am guessing they were referencing the his 2000 firing from paypal whilst he was on a business trip to raise funds for the company as you said. Still have a bad taste in my mouth from that story he is off raising money to keep the company afloat and they are back home panicking and then fire him and raise someone who is willing to drop 20mil into the company right now for the ceo title.
Funny thing about that Tony Stark line. Robert Downey Jr. credits his interpretation of Tony Stark to taking Elon Musk's mannerisms and adding a "scoop of douche".
