- "Szep asszonynak kurizalok" "Gyorscsardas"
Violin: Luanne Homzy
Guitar: Tommy Davy
Hungarian music played in the tradition of the Manouche / Sinti gypsies (the tribe to which Gypsy Jazz guitar legend Django Reinhardt belonged to) such as Titi Winterstein, Wedeli Köhler, Martin Weiss, Schnuckenak Reinhardt, etc...
In Hungary, the violin masters are Lajos Boross, Sandor Lakatos, Ferenc Santa, etc...
In the classical repertoire, composer Vittorio Monti popularized this music with his famous Czardas.
Greetings from Turkey. I am addicted to this folk song. Szia, Magyarorszag...
Not folk song
As a native Hungarian I say : it's a real masterwork.
Congrats Folks!!
if you say so, that's really a compliment. im big fan of ur music.
I didn't know Taylor Swift could play Violin like a goddess!
Sure, because she is Gwyneth Paltrow
I am a hungarian violinist and this performance is very nice,..you are honorary hungarian musicians:)

Yes, everyone loves the fiddle player (me to!) but that rhythm guitar is dead on!

it's so cringy when people call a violinist "fiddler"
honestly i love heavy heavyyyyy metal like grindcore and brutal death metal. But i grew up listening to this because i was raised by a hungarian grandmother who came over in 56...i absolutely love this music and appreciate all classical music (music major influence). these guys are perfect, i never heard it better preformed. Hungarian music just calms my nerves and makes me happy as hell idk maybe thats the hungarian blood in me
Man i can't stop watching this!!!! These two are great, just as amazing when they do Czardas.
Csárdás*

Thanks for both the English and Hungarian spelling!!! I had been spelling it phonetically years ago! 😏

@@survarium8202 I'm currently studying Hungarian, and might be able to help you! It could be spelt Baldás Negyler, or possibly Baldás Nedler. I hope this helps :)
@@quinngauvin137 Thanks alot!
Amazing. My sisters husband is hungarian, My family visited his family in Budapest, One night my brother in law, his father and I went to see traditional hungarian music and dance. It was amazing. I remember this piece from the performance.
Way back in the 1960s I played accordion in a band and played this piece of music almost every weekend at weddings, 25th anniversaries, etc. but did not know the name of the song we were playing (I was in my late teens). It took me awhile to find out what the name of that czardas was. But now I know. Thank you UA-cam and DC Music School!

Congratulation, from Hungary!
Can't tell you how many times I've listened to this the past several years. It's one of my all time fave "Magyar music", and these two play it fabulously. Bravo!!! Going to share it with my grandcherubs, again, now that they are a little older, but they enjoyed this a few years ago even though they were only toddlers. 😊❤️
This is awesome!!! Greetings from Hungary
Bravo from USA.
This is beautiful. Love from Romania.
Love back to you too! :)Form Hungary/Australia
I am conducting a funeral service for a Hungarian lady tomorrow who was 104. She has lived in her own home in Bowral, Australia, until six weeks ago and has outlived all of her family. I'm going to play this beautiful music as I imagine she would have loved it. It's beautiful! Thank you!
The most beautiful thing I've ever heard. Thank you.
the replay button is broken i keep hitting it
I love her smile at the end at she knows they nailed. Excellent.

She’s playing very very talented 👌🏻
Thank you for giving me those lovely shivers! Can't get enough...
to perfection and mastery absorbed very impressed by so much beauty
Everyone asking for the sheet music, try transcribing it instead! You'll learn a lot more about folk music by using your ears instead of your eyes.
I agree and also you will play it on your style as well, but on the other hand not everyone is able to do that .
I would like to but it is too difficult!
BRAVO! Beautifully played.
BEAUTIFUL PIECE AND INCREDIBLE INTERPRETATIÓN.........CONGRATULATIONS.
une pure merveille, merci pour ce partage de grande qualité
I somehow listen this performance since 12 years.

Guitar + Violin makes for such a nice combination. Delicate yet folky.
Luanne and Tommy one of the best folk players.

Bravo Luanne, bravo Tommy !!!
MUSIC can't be good without simplicity ( kiss from Sénégal )
Greetings from the country which the gepids came from, which Jordanes called 'the peoples factory'. From Sweden and the folkgroup Timoteij..!
Lovely, just lovely. You both know what the hell your doing, that is for sure. No missing chords, no flubbed notes. Your are a joy to listen to and to watch! I always heard this number as a orchestra number, but the only time I heard until now is when I and my uncle play it as a violin guitar duo like your self. Stripped to the bare esstensials and it's great.
Bravo, both ! :) Beautiful, beautiful :)
Way to go! Nice to hear others playing Hungarian music.
For those asking for the sheets, info below.
And if you are a Music School, please do a basic research on the songs you are posting and stop calling these "traditional folk songs" because they are not, at all. They have their composers.
1. Szép asszonynak kurizálok: B. Fehér Jenő (I am just guessing this is the song, not recognizable well)
3. Hull a fa levele, hull a hó: Rózsavölgyi Márk - Heródek Sándorné
So please give them due credit.
Thank you,
A Hungarian folk singer
They are in the style of traditional humgarian folk songs.
