Hi, thank for the video, very instructive. I have replaced the L2(60Ah 530A) baterry with the L3 (70Ah and 640A) and I was wondering if the alternator will do the charging well. I will also check the connector you showed on the video. Take care
This is just making the situation worse. This car will be back with the same problem within a year. If it hasn't burned down by then... Not mentioning the loose battery and the twisting of the battery terminal and fuse box...
Agree trimming of the contaminated copper has reduced the cross sectional area of the cable may not show a volt drop immediately but once you start adding load to that cable it's going to start warming up again ,car manufacturers don't tend to spec this cables to be oversized due to cost . Should of traced it back and replaced whole cable and maybe increased its size to prevent it happening again .
You would be correct if the full length of the cable was reduced but as its only the very end I have to disagree, I have done many of these types of repairs with no long term issues, The battery is not loose, the moving fuse board is just a poor design it has no supports and just rely on the battery terminal as a mount, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@paul-ds1wr Replacing the cable would not help either. I still don't understand WHY the cable is getting hot. That should not happen in the first place, IMHO
Thanks for the video. Nice to see voltage drop test at the end to verify the repair. Really enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot.
Glad you like them! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
