I like to imagine that Susie is an orphan and that Toriel will adopt her at the end, it just makes sense Kris finally having a sibling that cares about them

@@BoringShadow850 Yeah, Deltarune's world is less fantastical and more real so it would be quite a process to adopt. That being said, I think it's pretty likely that Susie will get an invite to come over to the house any time. Toriel definitely has a tendency to take care of random children.

i REALLY hope we get an emotional scene between toriel and susie in chapter 3. it's pretty clear me to me that susie's got a bad home life (if she has one at all), so she REALLY needs this kind of thing.
If the fight with Lancer and Ferris Wheel ride with Noelle was any indication, it's likely that Susie is gonna get a significant scene with one of the major characters of that chapter in every chapter.
To the creator, this song has brang me to tears nearly everytime I've put it on. It is enchanting, weirdly nostalgic, beautiful, happy, it brings me a safe space to cry on, to let my tears drop. This likely is one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time, great job dear, you made a boy cry safely :]
With Toriel being the way she is it wouldn’t be surprising if she and Susie had some sort of confrontation in chapter 3 similar to Lancer and Susie Torio just keeps pushing on Susie, asking her about her home life and eventually Susie just snaps
It sounds awful to say "I hope we find out Susie has a bad home life, or is homeless." But I really want a scene like this in Deltarune between her and Toriel. Susie seems like she just needs some unconditional love. Toriel would absolutely take her in and I feel like it would be the most emotional moment in the game.
It completely flew by me how good of an opportunity it would be to reveal what Susies homelife is like in Chapter 3, since Toriel is there, having her cause it. That definitely feels like something Toby would do.
Y'know, what I'm hoping for is that Susie's homelife is awful enough to be worth getting angry over... *but not unsalvageable.* Something like what the Santellos are going through in Night in the Woods, perhaps. Susie's mom passed away when she was young, and her father went into a serious depression over it. Maybe not bad enough that he's stopped working, but definitely bad enough that he's spending much of his free time passed out drunk on the couch, and spending a lot to attain that near-perpetual intoxication. Ultimately, he's an okay person deep down, but deeply hurting and relying on very unhealthy coping methods, just like his daughter had been prior to Chapter 1. As a result, he barely interacts with her ("Quiet people piss me off."). To make matters worse, Susie might have been to young to properly register what *actually* happened to her mom at the time, and because it was never explained to her, Present-Day Susie thinks her mom walked out on her family. Abandoned them,. Hence what she said to Kris in "the_n3w3st_g1rl_g1rl," as well as her respect for Toriel, a mother shown to genuinely care about her children. Hell, it would also explain her previous vendetta towards Kris in general; she was already hurting, and was constantly having Toriel's kindness and affection towards Kris rubbed in her face due to the goat being a teacher at her school. She was envious of them, and lashed out in response. However, there is hope for a better future: One way or another, perhaps her father ends up in a Dark World, forcing him to confront his past, and how it effects his present, how his daughter sees him, and what he's become, ultimately deciding to get his shit together for Susie's sake. Meanwhile, Susie would finally be able to learn the truth behind her mother's disappearence and gain closure over it, as well as reconciling with her father.
susie's parents are almost definitely abusive/neglectful towards her, causing her to turn out aggressive towards others. and i guess potentially herself. her family possibly doesn't have much money, or they just don't care to give her food in general and that's the reason she eats chalk for example. she probably just ate "too many" ham sandwiches when hungry during free ham sandwich day causing her to get banned which is pretty sad. i've always interpreted the "quiet people piss me off" as her dealing with silent treatment. or maybe that's just how i relate to her. i feel like she also just doesn't like being ignored or her feelings just being dismissed due to her experiences. which makes her feel like quiet people do that. idk. but i hope sometime we can find out about her homelife.
