What I'm most excited about is that the Pixel Buds can now play for 8 hours, plus they're physically smaller. I like to wear headphones that I can sleep with, that are comfortable for that and that have power all night. The Pixel buds that I have are not suitable for that. They are uncomfortable if you lie on your side - which I do.
Samsung definitely dropped the ball with their latest ,shouldn’t have added stems…pixel buds I’ve always liked the design and I’m glad they added that stabilization hook
Really wish Samsung had maintained their buds as buds rather than going with a stem design. Decided against upgrading my buds 2 pro because of that decision.
Can’t wait to hear the about the review. I did pre order-them and when you do you it through Google’s Store they do offer a $30 store credit so…One thing I appreciate you noting, David, is the support for the Find My Device network and that the case has speaker to ping the device. I’ve been wanting that feature and totally forgot about it until now when you mentioned it. I hope the Find My Device actually work with it because, I hate that it just shows when they were last opened/used on the current Pixel Buds Pro. Lastly, I hope you do a comparison between this and the previous one, I was a little skeptical about the somewhat return of the wingtip, but I have trouble of the w/current one’s staying in and sometimes get uncomfortable.
If sound 🔊 quality, ANC and phone calls in noisy environments is really improved as Google announces, Google will win back a lot of Samsung customers, and become the default Android earbuds.
Man I really hope they have decent latency so you can actually watch videos or game with them. It's great they come with "super low latency sound processing", but what's that worth if you can use them only for music and audio books.
Same here, I love the original Buds Pro apart from the latency, it's horrendous and awful for playing games on something like the Switch or Steam Deck. Phone calls are pretty bad as well because of the delay, especially on Microsoft Teams, I find myself butting in on conversations because I think there's a pause. I got some cheap QCYs and they have much lower latency.
The biggest issues for me were : Battery life was weak Audio quality seemed poor Maximum volume being quite low Seems like the first was addressed, the second is TBD, and nothing on the third. Gonna have to wait for some more full reviews.
1:30 but you don't feel like bringing up the base price? Like $20 to $50 more compared to the Pixel Buds or Galaxy Buds? The average person isn't gonna have a cheat sheet knowing the launch prices of every single wireless earbud out there.
I'm mostly an Android user but I've chosen the airpods pro for years cuz they were simply better than the rest imho with better anc, but if Google can top the ANC and match sound quality, i might switch. The case size looks less practical though, and im curious about how good the location tracking is
Thank you, of course Google releases the Buds Pro 2 after I ordered the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. I loved my Pixel Buds, but they would not stay in my ears, even after using all three tips. This was the biggest gripe I had with the Buds Pro. The A-Series Buds always stayed in my ears, but the sound wasn't as good. They are now my back up ear buds to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

I hoped the case would have been smaller. Even at the cost of smaller battery.
the best investment long-term is to buy the new ones for sure. The old ones may be too old now. They are compared to samsung's buds pro (1st gen), if that can give you a better understanding of it. The new ones are more expensive but won't be outdated as quickly
max that I can pay for earbuds is 50-60 bucks. Everything above is mehh overprice in my opinion doesn't matter what technology, sooner or later you will get issues with one of the ear buds or later need to change the battery and good luck with that.
And which is one is straight up better. Cuz I was contemplating between the two before ordering the galaxy buds 3 pro. Only for the pixel buds 2 to release ffs. Someone tell me if I should just swap em out I have a OnePlus 7 pro
The Pro 1 was the worst headphones I've ever had, try running more then 1 hour with them. They just slide out. Also wind noise was horrible. I should have returned them immediately. I have the first buds and still use those instead!
I have abandoned bluetooth earphones - only use hard wired now with a separate Fiio dap / amp / dac - I only use Sennheiser / Focal / Fiio IEM’s with 11 BA drivers per ear. I refuse to use wireless earbuds for phone calls as that’s what I own a phone. I am simply not willing to sacrifice audio / music quality for convenience.
Since new phones only have usb c, do you use an adapter? I found when I used a usb c to aux adapter I lost quality with my senhieser headphones. Thanks
@@seansmythe7543 I also no longer use the iPhone for any music due to not supporting analogue audio - only bluetooth. Hence when I purchased the portable Fiio M23 amp / dac / dap for AU$1,300 and also have the Fiio M17 portable amp / dac / dap ($2,200) for all my music, along with any wired earphones / IEM ‘s I own. Im sick of playing codec bingo with bluetooth plus the audio fidelity is never as good as wired and will never be and I can listen to all hi res audio with no Bluetooth “issues”. Im currently using FiiO FA19 IEM’s that cost me AUR$1,800 and its sounds way better than bluetooth. Both these dacs support MicroSD cards so some albums I can download via TIcal etc and n to be forced to have a data connection as it plays locally. I had to escape the ecosystem for music / audio - and it’s not cheap but the results are well worth it.
I did touch them with my hands -but just couldn’t turn them on. Wish Google had working units. They aren’t coming out till late September so they are probably still working out the kinks. 😢

I use the Pixel Buds A for those. They fit in my ears very well and I got them for free when I bought something else.
wearing earbuds to sleep is crazy
@@wspyderrDamn so crazy that people can live in noisy environments
Can't wait for the full review of these buds
Same
me too
Conversation detect isn't a new feature. The original Pixel Buds Pro has this feature.
True
Did he say that conversation detect was a new feature? I missed it.
The og og didn't they got a refresh with gaming features and stuff
he said its coming back, not that its new
He didn't say it was a new feature
I want to know about noise cancelling versus Sony XM5s!

That pink color and green are just so perfect colored. Like the bright colors we should have got from Apple but didn’t

Anc meaning the osha or 27 dB?
All I'm looking for is better pass-through (transparency)
youre going to get it!
So real. I have both the PBP and the APP and the PBP's transparency is just incomparable to the APP (in a bad way). I don't use it just for that
Looking forward to your full review
Already sold one pair for me.

Works fine on my Google TV Chromecast

This guy is a great presenter. Love his energy. Sounds super confident and charming!
Just purchased these. Can't wait.
The pros just wont stay in my ears and it worries me a lit because the sound is very good. Glad to gear they added wing tips. Definitely buying one.
Got mine. Pre-ordered
Definitely buying these once my original pros fail
How do these compare to Bose QC ultra earbuds?
Bose broke for me in a week with just one drop. Build quality for Bose included case is not good.
Mentos for your ears. Lol.
I'm excited for that fin, I have to adjust the buds every 30 minutes because they push out of my ear and yes I've tried each size.tip

*mistake you mean the colour match the new pixel 9 models not 8
Yes. I screwed that up 😂
Can I use it on my iPhone?
Yes it will work
Looks interesting to buy and test for the really live problematic situations
These better stay in my ear....I have the original Pros and I absolutely can't get them to stay in my ear no matter what I do...
Are you sure it has multipoint?
the old ones do, why wouldn't these
Multi point meaning PC to phone (android)? I returned my galaxy pro 3's for this reason. This is a must have for me.
I was set to buy them then this came out haha. But hmmm. $139 for the pro or wait and drop $229 for these...I also am a Pixel A series user. hmm.

Do you find your A's to be uncomfortable? Mine start to hurt my ear after awhile
These are dust resistant, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are IPX7.
Does the translation work
Why not give budget talk gemini live?
So i cant use these with my pixel 8a
Quick pairing is needed badly

i want those
I feel like the tip will cause ear fatigue.. any thoughts?
Still no full review?
Need real quick pair ....
doesnt work with 8a wtf
Spacial audio with head tracking is literally a gimmick though. I have it on my 8 and I purposely don't use it.
useless "review"/"preview"... all the important improvements you couldn't test...
this is not hand on it just pa for google 🤔

Why no pink color like the pro phone SMH
Not being fully waterproof is an instant turnoff.
It is in fact not hands on

@@davidcarnoy961 I'll be back! I'm 50:50 on getting them, can you also try the controls (play/pause etc)
Will do!
The original ones had 10 mm, not 11
False, same 11mm size driver.
@@JulianStevens122 oh ok my bad It was the a series that had a different size
Got my pixel buds pro 2 for $20 haha
Nice colour matches google rules the world 🌎
...tldr: so this video is basically pointless until he receives his pair to test out and do a full review.
I did at least get to try their new fit, so maybe not entirely pointless. 😂
Spacial lmao
UyUyUyUyUyUy🎉
Samsung isn’t even a competitor anymore.
Too expensive and quite ugly...
No display on the case 😂😂😂 They most basic amazon buds have them
No one needs that
It looks like a cheap toy. It's not worth that price..
