- The ITV Wasabi is a Mid-High B paraglider BUT has the added benefits of being a lightweight design with trimmers. From my research on manufacture websites, its the highest performance lightweight paraglider (non reflex) that comes with trimmers. Stay tuned for in flight testing.

I have just flew this wing today. This was my second flight on this wing. My first flight was a few months ago. I launched it in zero wind conditions and it was a very hard launch. The wing was too heavy and didn't want to come up. I found it is better to pull all the A's rather than just pulling on the center ones. I didn't like the launch characteristics and wanted it to sell it. However, after I flew again today I changed my mind. With good breeze the launch was much easier. As you mentioned, This is a very efficient wing. It has an excellent sink rate and better glide than all my other wings. I think it is an ideal choice for ridge soaring. I just hope that it handles well in thermal turbulence.
I've flown mine quite a bit now. I've found that letting the trimmers out to the 2nd or 3rd line really helps on launch and yes you must stay on the A risers for quite a while until the wing is all the way up just like a pg wing.
In turbulence, the wing does take collapses much easier than any reflex wing but they pop out quick and never feel dangerous. I usually laugh when it happens. I'm really enjoying my wasabi

My Axis Mercury's have trimmers, amazing wing and can find them dirt cheap by now, un-certified but around EN-D
Was availability a large factor in deciding on this wing? I've been shopping around for a similar wing but never considered this one.

I've been eyeballing this in XS to replace my old gin atlas. I fly a piper 20 on my ppg, but really am looking for a slower/boaty wing for lazy flights and maybe double for some pg attempts. I hear its hard to inflate this wing? Being a wing I'll likely pick for those nill days, Im wondering if I should look elsewhere? Are you still flying this wing, a year later?
Still flying the wasabi! I've really enjoyed the efficient classic profile. The glide is noticeably better than the typical reflex wings. It is not a hard wing to launch but not super easy like a spyder. I use mine on those tough nil wind damp mornings but you can't hesitate on the throttle. If you get one, let the trims out to the 2nd yellow line on the trimmers for takeoff. Also, after flying it for around 20 hours, let the loops out of the lines on the risers to get the trim back to factory setting because my wasabi definitely got to slow after some flight hours. Bgd gliders recommend doing this and itv should say this in their manual as well since that's what the extra loops on the lines are for.
The gin vantage 3 would be another wing with very similar specs and may launch easier. Sometimes i wish i would have bought the gin vantage 3 because its lighter weight fabric. One step down would be the bgd echo motor(light weight fabric) which would also be a good dual purpose wing with trimmers and easy launches but might not glide as good or be as fast.
Hi.. i purchased the wasabi small size (24 sq meter) wing today. I have a question. On the label of the wing, ITV company modified the size and weight range from permanent marker. Did they done the same on your wing as well ?
I'm not sure, I did notice the weight of the glider is different on the label and on the website.

I was always too nervous how others would perceive the sport on base. Did anyone give you any trouble? Question what you were doing?
Not here yet. I had multiple MP's stop me on another base and tell me I couldn't "fly" that here. I explain to them that I'm not flying and they usually say ok and leave me alone
@@MitchG I hope they leave you alone. Many times while I was there in base was the best area to practice kiting but I just didn't want to spot light myself if someone wanted me to stop
Yeah most MP dont know enough about what it is. If you explained to them what it is they would probably just think its cool and just tell them with you not leaving the ground its basically just a big kite my main reason for staying away from base was just my comander finding out and not wanting to accept any risk that doesn’t benefit them.

I've got 3 motor flights on it. Haven't been able to fly very much. Still enjoying it. It's basically a en B freeflight paraglider with trimmers. The trimmers really help with taking off and adding a bit of extra flare for landing
