An interesting video! I myself admire Miyazaki a lot and it was cool to see someone try his schedule, for the opening windows and doors, my guess is that Miyazaki wanted to let small spirits inside. Miyazaki has a belief that everywhere there are beings and are always there, so you are never alone.
