Hey I'm the owner of this mod, awesome video :)). Mediterranean Scrubland is supposed to be a ''savannah'' type biome, the problem is that it doesn't generate often for some reason but we will work on that in the later updates :) and the Purussaurus crash will also be fixed for the next update! Also animal animations tend to break with some shaders.
This mod looks sick bro! Would love to see it for Fabric :)
Bro this mod look so good continue to upgrade it
jaekolpterus
Overall it's such an awesome mod. I was amazed it wasn't getting more attention when I came across it. Keep up the great work :)
thank you guys for all the kind comments :))
"Gigantopitecus a stage of évolution coming before nehendertal "solid script bro you had me cracking up, liked for the fun and gigle
fun fact the tuatara is still alive and it's from new zealand, but it's at risk of extinction.
D:
@@spinofaaurusthealmighty8981don’t worry bro all we have to do is teach them how to kill cats and rats
As a paleonerd, I have a lot of info to clear up any confusion: Also yes, scientific naming for organisms are quite extensive.
Yeah, for whatever reason many species back then just decided to become large for the sake up making up for the amount of food they got.
Glyptodon ("grooved or carved tooth") is in fact related to the modern day Armadillo. It was just bigger and more turtle-like. Though, if you want to see an armored mammal filling the niche of an Ankylosaurus, look up Doedicurus, it was as big as a buggy-car, and sported a clubbed tail. Huh, just looked up if Armadillo has a meaning, and it means "little armored ones" awww.
The Thy-la-cine, aka, the Tasmanian Tiger, a predatory, marsupial mammal. Its situation is much like the dodo, it isn't entirely prehistoric, its just moidered.
Ke-len-ken, just a big ol' "terror bird" member.
Arc-to-the-rium ("arctic beast"), aka the short-faced bear, or cave bear.
Deinotherium ("terrible beast") yeh, an elephant relative with tusks sticking out from its chin.
Me-ga-lo-ser-os ("big horn"), an elk or deer that just decided to have absolutely massive antlers.
Ma-kai-ro-dus ("knife tooth"), yeh, a sabertooth CAT.
Embolotherium ("battering ram beast", or "wedge beast") a brontotherium ("thunder beast") family member. If you've watched Ice Age, the two rhino-dudes with the Y-shaped horns are Brontoths'. Andd... yes, they are related to rhinos, though not directly, they're in the same Order.
Fun fact: "-suchus" means crocodiles. Just wanted to mention that.
Tuatara, a sole living member of its own family. Yes, tutaras are alive today. And fun fact, they got a 3rd eye, though its moreso just a light receptor than a true eyeball.
Camelus just means camel, probably because she's likely a Camel Spider, not a true spider, nor a scorpion, its is own order in the arachnid class. Its like everything evolving into a crab, everything also likes to evolve into a spider or scorpion.
Odobenocetops ("Teeth Walking Whale"), a whale that walks on its teeth. Believed to graze sea plants. Mammal, but not a walrus.
Brygmophyseter (pronounced Brig-mo-fai-se-ter) the "Biting Sperm Whale". Belonging to the superfamily of Sperm Whales. Its just smol.
Megapiranha, its a BIG piranha, nuff said.
Stratodus ("stratosphere tooth"), funny name meaning. Nothing much, just a fish that existed back in the Cretaceous, though I guess it survived to the Cenozoic too.
Yeah, I'm a nerd for this kinda stuff.
'stop having children in front of me'
Noted emerled
This dimension looks nice, time to infest it with sculk!
No pls let me have this
Embolotherium belonged to the group known as brontotheres, or Brontotheriidae, which are part of a larger family known as perissodactyla, which horses are a part of making these beasts a distant relative of horses.
Fun fact: Dodos actually tasted horrible. They were just very easy to kill because they weren’t afraid of humans.
You have ruined dodos for me
@@EccentricEmerald it’s heartbreaking lol
Even them being afraid is put into question, as old accounts have mentioned Dodos not being afraid to attack when messed with and using their large beak
the animal in 8:29 was a tasmanian tiger which was extinct in the 19s
R.I.P. tasmanian tiger 1987 (i think-) btw new sub
Interesting! and thanks for the sub :)
No it went extinct around the early 1900’s
1936
Because it was blamed for attacking sheep while it was dogs who were attacking sheep
@@hungrybaryonyx2908 The last confirmed ones died in the 1900s, but I think a recent study ran some statistical analyses and turns out there may have been a few still around by the late 80s. Not confirmed though, it’s just an estimate.
Good review!
I'll just slip in a bit of a correction at 11:07
No, Gigantopithecus was never part of the evolution of Humans.
Like you pointed out earlier in the video, they are more closely related to orangutans. Which are on a completely different branch from Humans and their relatives.
The reason it is significant, is because it was the Largest species of ape that ever existed on Earth.
It was around 200-300 kg (440-660 lb). Not exactly an ape you want to disturb if your an ancient human.
“Turtle without a shell”
Bruh turtles can’t “not have a shell”
Turtle shells are connected to the turtle, it’s apart of their spine and ribs. That means if you have a turtle without a shell, you’d be able to see right through it. They can also feel everything through their shell, just like how we can feel through our nails.
Naked tortel
fun fact, the dodo is a species of flightless pigeon
They look delicious
@@EccentricEmeraldthey were also reported to taste really awful
Great journey :))))))
Very interesting but how would you download this one? Does it need other mods to work or not?
Glyptodon is an armadillo, the thylacine is a marsupial from Australia, and Neanderthals weren’t wiped out by humans as most modern humans are descended from Neanderthals!
Homosapiens and Homoneandertalis are two diferent espieces
how to get into then new dimension if i am in the 1.20.1 version?
After the dinosaurs
*”Delicious Fat Juicy Bird”* -Eccentric
the mob model and the idea is great but the mob does not have any animation
Now way mammals were first alive 65 million years ago 💀
they were there but they were small. when the dinosaurs went extinct they had the capability to rise
@@twisted3883 oh yeah, how did i forget about that
last alive*
holy shit, I'm early, this feels majorly illegal
mmm creatures
1:09 ayoo?
bro why is walking freezes
fun fact Odobenocetops is a whale acctualy
The lack of knowledge is killing me
