Go look at analyses of education in countries like South Africa. The biggest bang for buck is in free primary and secondary education because general society and the taxpayer benefits. Tertiary education cannot be free. Who is going to pay the bill for tertiary students who cannot then get jobs and contribute to the tax system? The problem can’t be thrown at the feet of the universities as it’s a political issue needing taxpayers money. Good discussion. The SRC representative is going to go places.
WHATS SADDENS ME IS THAT MOST OF YOU FIGHT AND STRIVE TO GO TO VARSITY AND YETMOST OF YOU CANNOT AFFORT VARSITY AND WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR DEGREES YOU ALL END UP SITTING AT HOME DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE WRONG DEGREES OR COURSES .GUYS THERE ARE FET COLLEGES WHERE WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR GURANTEED A JOB.AND LATER ON YOU CAN WORK AND TAKE YOUR SELF TO VARSITY..I WOULD OPT FOR THIS OPTION IF I KNOW IM COME FROM A POOR FAMILY OR I CANNOT AFFORD
You are making a complete fool of yourself....I myself studyed for free under appartheid while working at the same time....teachers under apartheid studied for free....why on earth dont you want the son over other peoples heads...its eazy to sit and comment when you have more than enough....the days are not far away when your children or grand children going to join these ques....stop beeing selfish....while you recon they must pay....I really hope you are going to contribute to this fund !!!!
@@kgabosenyatsi957 What make it very hard is the things that go with it....like caring for yourself when you walk out of that class room...you cant expect to get free food....transport...clothing...accomodation...ect as well.
Just because you are privileged does not give you the right to supress the right to education based on the fact that other ppl are poor....they do have damn rights which have to be exercised from the freedom charter...Education is a necessity stop being dumb
If you or one of your relatives was in that situation you wouldn't be so selfish. We have children whose parents work hard as farm workers yet those greedy farmers don't pay them money, if one comes from such a family how are they supposed to pay their fees? Wake up and smell the coffee this arrogant thinking from a position of privilege will not move our country forward and it is not sustainable
@@musakgoete6071 what "pyramid scheem"? Those averaging 80%+, especially with maths physics, cannot have to worry about funds. They belong in school. And only about 15% of a grade achieve that. If your child was getting that you would not be talking like that. .
Wow Malema's brother is on point! Viva EFF!
Leadership!!! Creme dela Creme

THANKS TO THE EFF STUDENT COMMAND THANKS MR MANDLA

Do adults still write in caps like this?
@Melanie Matthews what he's saying is easier said than done yap h
Yap yap. .
The Wits SRC President and Dean of student actually agreed that the point made by the eff about courses that contributes to the ecommy was lame...
Could they not have subsidized from the get go, and scarce skills degree be free,
University needs people to pay. Every student cannot study for free. They need money for running costs
Education shall be free to the masses.......its a right, not an expense

😂😂😂 you can't be an EFF and not be sharp
Education must be free to those who invest time and effort and get good results. I don't understand doubling the burden.
The pyramid scheme will not allow that, it will literally fall if more people succeed...LOL...I know it's hush but it's the Truth.
