Great observation by Mrs. Wing on the traction being shaped like little 7s -- I've inspected the whole sneaker numerous times to find all the little story-telling details (and posted images of those on the HS Instagram), but this is a detail I didn't pick up on. As for the Lightstrike cushion on the 7s -- it does feel just like you are describing the Harden Vol. 4 felt. I can't say from experience as I've never played in the Harden Vol. 4, all I can say is that at the moment it feels as though Adidas thinned out the Lightstrike from the 6s from a lower-profile set up geared more towards "court feel". I agree that the materials seem a bit nicer than the 6s. I also agree with everything you said about the fit. There is definitely still volume in the toe of the Dame 7. However, in my opinion, the fit of the Dame 7s is so much better than the Dame 6s. With the Dame 6, I went true-to-size (as a wide-footer), and there was so much length at the end of the toe. With the 7s, I feel as though there is far less length and volume at the toe compared to the 6s. I can definitely see how normal-to-narrow footers would want to go down at least half a size, if not go down even a full size for that super-duper snug fit. I think it's why I like the Dame line personally, because I am able to go TTS as a wide-footer and not have any major issues. On the lateral synthetic piece of the "Own Fan" pack, it says "Never Follow" (stylised as "N3VER F0LL0W"). My thoughts overall are that the Dame 6 to the Dame 7 feels very much like the transition from the Dame 3 to the Dame 4. I know you alluded to the Dame 3 when talking about the lacing system, where you have some level of customisation or adjustment to the lacing. To me, the lacing system on the Dame 7 reminds me quite a bit of the lacing system on the Dame 4, in terms of having Flywire-like "loops". The biggest reason with the Dame 6 to Dame 7 reminds me of the Dame 3 to Dame 4 is with the cushion. On the Dame 3, we got Bounce, and we got A LOT of it. Then, the Dame 4 also had Bounce, but it felt like such a lower-profile set-up than the 3s, which is the same thing I notice with the Lightstrike of the 6 to the Lightstrike of the 7.

Dame 7s are the best basketball shoe I’ve ever owned. The traction is unstoppable, the cushion is great and I have flat feet, I can play in these for hours, and the fit is super snug around my ankle even though their lows, buy these!
Night Wing! Hey man, so I have noticed you put a lot of emphasis and weight on the traction patterns and their ability to grip. In my experience, the rubber compound and durometer is the most important factor when it comes to grip. I’ve had shoes that I have destroyed outdoor that have no more tread but still will grip well and bite hard indoor because the rubber used is high quality. Just my experience.
Yup. Chris doesn't touch on that in every review but he definitely agrees that the rubber compound (if it's a good rubber compound) can save even the weakest traction pattern. Just as a good traction pattern can sometimes make up for a crappy rubber compound. But then you also have to take into account the type of surface you are playing on, how it's maintained, etc. Lots of variables!

I liked how he casually showed these off in the Lakers Lebron 18 vid. Sneaky sneaky. These are really cool and I always anticipate the Dame releases since liking the 2nd model moving forward. The 1st pair were meh to me. And I played in the 3 and loved those. Hopefully we get more colorways that are more “pop” in color
i really liked the 6’s (I had the dame time colorway with a good rubber compound) but I actually like the 7s more performance wise. they took what was good about the 6s and made it better and elevated the bad elements as well
While the materials on the upper might not be the great, the shoe looks beautiful - I’m especially feeling this colorway.... all the layers and hidden details are stunning to me
I bought the Dame 6 because of how much I loved the cushion, but it ended up feeling really wide when it broke it, with some heel slippage. That was only about a month ago, so I wish I waited! These look way better, and the heel doesn't have that useless flap. Hope lockdown is better, too, and I really like the raised toe on the Dame 7. I want a shoe tight everywhere except around my toes.
Been collecting the 7s-so far the team green extply and the black ‘I am my own fan’ are my favorites. But of course I can’t find this color way anywhere-go figure. It’s fire, for sure!

After hoopin in these outside mostly for a few months, the only problem would be the ankle support is kinda iffy, not bad but isn’t good either. Also tied it to the top anklet inside out.

People need to remember that these aren't some $200 shoes. These are shoes for people who are either A. On a budget, or B. Are just getting into the sport and aren't willing to instantly dive in and cop some expensive shoes
Most people don’t really understand that the budget to build most of the shoes is the same. What the brands charge is different. You can get a great shoe for high price or low price if you know what you need out of your footwear.
Your comment on the shade of red reminds me of when I bought the adidas Marquee Boost. I thought it was red, but when I got them. They looked more pink-ish/melon color. It must be adidas’ take on red 🤷🏻♂️

I really liked the Dame 6s. They have god-level support and traction for me and this looks to be similar to that performance-wise. However, I will have to pass this time, because I'm nearing age 29, and just need more cushion than this line in order to walk normal the next day lol. Otherwise it's a great performer. I woulda loved these when I was like 20
if u are US9 on Nike and gets US8.5 on Adidas, i think u should follow UK sizing just like me.. my Nike/Adidas size is always UK7.5, which translates to US8 on Adidas and US8.5 on Nike..

Did you order them from the Philippines? Ive seen them available on the Australian and New Zealand sites but the tongue is different. I think the pair you have a slightly nicer with the tongue design.
