I'd like to see high comp vs low comp build and how they spool a turbo differently. I’ve always heard higher comp spools faster, but would like to see a dyno graph to quantify that difference.
Higher compression not only increases response but more importantly you will make MORE power per lb of boost. Back in the day people swore you NEEDED low compression pistons for boosted applications. That's because the tuning technology lacked. Compression and HIGH compression are your FRIEND! With current tuning platforms, technology and today's tuners, high compression is where it's at for boost. (I'm talking under 11:1). There's no need to run 8.5:1 or whatever low compression pistons these days. It's all in the tuning.
Need more dyno comparison videos, it REALLY shows the true improvements from the mods and shows where you can gain and loose power. I would love to seea comparison between a stock stroke K24 and a de-stroked or stroked K24 to see where the power TRUELY lies in the rpm band. Keep on keepin' on 🤙
Interested in the the power differences with the different intake manifolds and cams. Feel the Skunk Ultra Street would do even better with the stage 2 cams. But have a hunch y’all ran the race manifold for a reason and already did the testing off camera. Great videos guys
Owner of the motor seriously has weirdness to him stands there just dead lookin the real street dude as he's explaining the parts and easy of obtaining 😂
Since you guys have your own engine dyno, here’s some idea: compare an engine dyno result and a chassis dyno result of the same engine and do it repeatedly while upping the power through modifications. This will give a concrete answer if the percentage of drivetrain power loss is a constant percentage or a fixed number.
really wondering why this cam was chosen over say a DC 2.2 and what went into picking THIS cam vs others? was this picked with a specific track in mind or...either way great content as always car will rip!!
Very informative video, I would like to see the difference between the drag cartel 2.2, drag cartel 3.2 and skunk 2 ultra 1 cams on a 12.5 compression k24
I’ve always wanted to see what kind of power gains could be had by putting Brian Crower cams on a non-vtec B18 or B20 engine as well as intake manifolds
Gaining a peak of 5whp at redline isnt worth loosing the 10hp low and mid range. Id like to see these cams on a boosted motor. +25whp with the stage 2 upgrade is no small gain. But the gain percentage would absolutely be higher with a boosted motor. Whats the advertised duration on the stage 2 and stage 3 cams?
@@realstreetperformance if possible can you dive into how the lower intake temp allows more timing and the difference in gains from that? Sorry for the added request. Luv the channel and the content
We recently ran a manifold test you might be interested in watching. As for manifold swaps with a modded engine, we can do that down the line as well :) ua-cam.com/video/gep-r5X9aa4/v-deo.html
Marketing word that is more recognizable to the masses of idiots out there. Using lift and duration you might confuse a few of us. Pretty cringe either way. I'm sure you get a cam card in the box with all the specs.
Hey good morning! I totally understand where you're coming from. At lot times people associate the term " stages " as a blanket for all levels of a build which can get very confusing especially if comparing different manufactures, and different part types. For these BC cams, they list the different cams under " stages " for their own line making it easier to refer to a camshaft spec rather than listing out the whole written spec in the title. BC does show their cam lift, duration, and more information on each listing as well as the provided cam card in each box. We linked a blog post in this video's description where we have the lifts and durations listed along with each test to have all the data presented. I'll link it below this comment as well: www.realstreetperformance.com/blog/bc-stage-2-vs-stage-3-cams-stock-block-k24/ Hope this helps, and thank you for watching!

This one !!
I would think it would be pretty obvious, the higher the compression the quicker and more responsive the spool.
Seeing how much each makes N/A would be interesting too, just be cool to know how much more 12:1 comp would make than 9.5 or sum

Yes ! Thats exactly what I'd like to see too !
I feel like Pablo is trying his best to emulate Jay's presentation style, i kinda dig it. 👍
You guys have been killing it with the content lately!
These type’s of video are great! I didn’t know y’all had these!
Thanks for watching! We're happy you enjoyed.
once again Realstreet came up with the clearest camshaft comparison no BS , much love RealStreet
I would say different sets of cams skunk 2, dc, and whatever else. It give the people the data of how each came does in different settings.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the testing you’ve been doing 🙏🏻
Compare k series dyno before and after WPC treatment.
This

Awesome vid, super curious what other brands cams might be good/better for a stock block k24a. Stock block cam shootout??

Great k24 content! Destroked k24 vs k24 comparison!
K20 v K24 heads up and mods would be great
Very informative video, I would like to see the difference between the drag cartel 2.2, drag cartel 3.2 and skunk 2 ultra 1 cams on a 12.5 compression k24
Down the line it would be great to do higher compression NA testing.
Interesting comparison. For na a 25ish Hp gain is quite a bit just by swapping cams. Would like to see a comparison between 10:1, 12.5:1,15:1 pistons
For each full compression ratio a gain of 4-5% is averaged
Keep in mind of dynamic compression has to go up to also gain 4-5%
Great work. Is all this stuff just plug and play? Surely a lot of ecu calibration needs to be done to gain the most from these components...
Need more videos like this good work brother👏👏
Thanks for watching! We're happy to hear you're enjoying the content.
Will be good to see back to back itb dynos on stock K20 motor. Jenvey, at power, toda.
We love the sound of ITBs on a K series!!
Very nice comparison so turbo what difference would it make ?
Really look forward with skunk2 tuner stage 2 vs tuner stage 3 vs BC stage 2 N/A
Awesome 🙌🏻🔥🔥 thanks for helping me get my Cometic over bore head gasket for my LS Integra y’all rock!!🤘🏻
I’ve always wanted to see what kind of power gains could be had by putting Brian Crower cams on a non-vtec B18 or B20 engine as well as intake manifolds

This is good 101 class for me I don’t know about this engine and learning something today 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Would like to see a type s head added to it or even a cnc ported head, k24 head might be holding back the stage 3 cams.

How about AK24 block with AK20 head with the BC stage 2 cams and sprocket
What cams would you recommend for a boosted k24?
I’d like to see a rotrex c38-81 supercharged k20/24. With different cams thrown in and what’s the best timing.
What model is the stage 3 Brian crowler. I have a 13.51 compression is that good
What do you think about a k24z2 engine with a type s oil pump and a stage3 camshaft with a 40degree vtcon it. What do you think, remember r40 block
Y’all should do a video on cryogenic treatment on engine blocks
test a 2.0 v 2.2 and 2.4 to compare power and torque characteristics please
Should do one stage 3 intake cam and one stage 2 exhaust and vice versa
Can we see an episode with water methanol injection? I've never seen a comparison while using a k series motor, wouldn't hurt for the series
Sure! We're planning to do some water methanol injection content soon. Thanks for watching :)

Yo I’d like to see some NA b20 vtec content .. street build tips
Why do you use the Race version of the intake manifold?
Isn't the street version better for K24?

Like to see that k w/ 🦨 cams 🤔
k24 bc stage 3 cams with ITB pls...THANK YOU for making the video I m looking forward waiting for the video
sorry sorry I mean k24 and stage 2 bc cams with its
When removing the head, is it a requirement to shave it to be absolute flat again or can this be skipped it all looks okay?
If the deck surface has no warp or abnormalities, it does not need to be machined.
Hmm .. video idea 🤔💡 How much nitrous can a K or B series consume ⁉️🙏
Alll of it
great video can you guys do test in other cams on stockbottom
We will for sure add more to the testing line up!
I’d like to see a VQ-VHR on that dyno ✍🏽
For sure ! That will be good to put on down the line.
Some mixed content would be great as in Hseries , Bseries , Kseries & Jseries
Would of been cool to have seen another intake mani shoot out with both the Stage-2 & stage-3 cams 😢
Done the line we can do it for sure! :)
What pad are you using here at 12:49 of the video? Thanks
Need to try 2jz stuff...cams...stroker cranks...next gens....etc
How about a K24/20 combo with a combination of oem parts… then adding a spicy cam
For sure! K24/20 is a nice combo.
Please try different intake manifold and throttle body

still no B58 testing? common we wanna see how much the stock block can take!

Why not just list the lift and duration ect. instead of stages. "Stages" sounds so adolescent.
