My top 20 would change hourly but my eternal top 3 are 1- While My Guitar Gently Weeps 2- Dear Prudence 3- Sexy Sadie Yep all off the White Album. As for what you left off.......Strawberry Fields Forever to mention one !!
@@LloydBoonworldofmusic2 I never get tired of listening to Revolution 9, stick some headphones and hear something new every time even after all these years.
I'd be inclined to think the entirety of Harrison's mid 70's work was an attempt to make songs that sounded like WMGGW. The fact that no song sounds like it might be due the fact that Harrison was such a wash out in that time he just wasn't capable of it. Like 99% of Harrison's songs, I am deeply underwhelmed by it - I'm the opposite of you, I think it sounds pokey, overproduced, overwrought, overlong dull and preachy. I understand recent pressings of the White Album have tried to clear up the sound (and The White Album as a general rule sounds like crap compared to Peppers or Abbey Road - that's what you get when you freeze George Martin out of proceedings) but Harrisons should have stuck with the model of his Esher demo for it - sparse, clear, shorter, wittier.
