To be fair, by saying he's too attractive to make a claim, he's putting himself on a scale of attractiveness, and narcissism is a MASSIVELY ugly character trait to possess.
The butter joke was also demonstrating how cruel and apathetic Rick is. He created an emotional, sentient being just to use it for a menial, mundane task.
It is important to point out how Rick's "Welcome to the club pal" is entirely unearned Rick wasn't created to pass butter. He has the freedom to choose his own purpose in life. However, he acts like he doesn't because that's easier for him. Acknowledging that he is not in the same position as his butter robot would mean acknowledging that his actions are his own & that he should maybe take responsibility or feel guilty for his choices.
It's not just that. Let's remember why he built his pass the butter robot. It was solely because he didn't want to ask any of the other people at the table to pass the butter nor did he want to get up and just walk a couple steps at most to get it himself. To him creating this robot was easier than normal human interaction that even four year olds have no problem with.
The Pickle Rick episode is a great litmus test for whether people "get" the show. And even saying that puts my head completely up my own arse. The point is, that episode is about Rick losing. His goal was to avoid therapy. He turns himself into a pickle, nearly dies multiple times, takes on a vicious mercenary and succeeds, blowing up a building in the process but ultimately...he's still a pickle, still needs help from his family *and still ends up going to therapy*. The whole of season 3 was about Rick losing battles one by one until the finale where he takes on the president of the USA but loses his family's respect while doing so. Every episode is in some way about how the family doesn't need him nearly as much as he needs them and they each in turn coming to terms with that. It's something that disappointed me a bit about season 4, how it starts with ground rules but soon just goes back to Rick & Morty adventures as normal.
At least, Jerry is self aware of his problems. These guys are more like the aliens in the hologram episode, a bunch of arrogant nerds who confuse smart for brilliant
@@ninjaturtlefan2003 By character definition Jerry is unaware of his issues. Either a blissful ignorance or outright ignorance. Unless they added something in a later season where he becomes aware of his problems. This is the same character that was on a low power simulation and thought it was the best day of his life.
I like how Pickle Rick started off as an intentionally terrible joke, and then the Internet turned it into an unironic joke, and then pretended that they came up with the idea of it being an ironic joke.
@@John-Doe-Yo I think he's saying that pickle rick was a bad joke on purpose. The internet didn't understand that and act like they made it ironic even though it was ironic the whole time. Sorry if I explained it badly I'm pretty bad at articulating.
@@somethingwicked7464 You articulated the point well... I just don't understand which part of pickle rick is supposed to be a bad joke. The idea of rick going to absolutely any lengths short of death to avoid dealing with feelings is hysterical (imo)... and perfectly fits into what we know about the character
@@bubbafug00gle51 I think it's just the absurdity of what he does. He could have just gone off to another planet where he couldn't be found, but instead the writers chose for him to do something off the walls absurd. It was completely unnecessary and weird, and definitely meant to be a bad joke on the writers' part.
@@freddie5890 To me, this is part of the brilliance of it. It's actually an incredibly "in character" thing to do. If he goes "off-world" and doesn't attend it is clear to Beth that he is avoiding therapy. Rick would not want to do that for two reasons; 1.) It pisses Beth off 2.) It shows that the therapy is threatening to Rick. Rick concocts a ridiculous scheme instead. One that requires knowledge no human possesses... but which anyone who knows him can see through immediately. To me it's an excellent joke that exposes the character flaws that undermine Ricks intellect. I guess it's a bad joke if the writers started out simply saying "wouldn't it be funny if Rick was a pickle?" and never explained how or why... Or if the explanation didn't fit what the viewer believes about Rick. I just always assumed it started more along the lines of "wouldn't it be funny if Beth forced Rick into therapy?", or more generally "wouldn't it be funny if Rick was in therapy?". If the writers started with the shitty premise and still made a good episode it's almost more impressive. I think most bad comedy comes because writers think of the joke first instead of telling a story and finding jokes along the way. Why did the writers write a bad joke? Because the chicken crossed the road. I guess, to sum it up after too many words... to me, the punchline is "to avoid therapy" and not "because Rick is a pickle now". Good joke, no irony.

@@kidcharlemane5392, it really is a matter of World Point of View, since objectively there isn't really a a solution here, to counter what you said for example I could point out that being the only one going through the process doesn't have any relation to if people are around you at the time or not, and then after that the debate would be on what exactly defines "alone" and "not alone".
I think that even if the idea that Morty's brainwaves are "opposite" or "complementary" or "camouflage" for Rick is true (not sure if it's true or just Rick gaslighting Morty), that doesn't necessarily mean that Morty is a complete moron. For example, you don't somehow just stumble your way out of disarming a bomb created by Rick with nothing but luck. I don't know, but I get the feeling that Morty isn't as stupid as the show implies he is.
I'm not entirely sure how and if this would translate into literal brainwaves in the real world, or even if this makes sense in the context of the show, but in terms of soundwaves and EQing and whatnot then you'll get pretty much nothing if you mix two audio tracks that are the inverse of each other down into one channel. In other words, if you add the opposite of a soundwave to itself then you end up with zero. The thing is, the opposite of a soundwave is functionally equivalent to the original, at least as far as you and I are concerned. If you take a song, invert the audio in a digital audio workstation, then listen to it back-to-back with the original song then you won't hear a single difference. So, I guess if Rick is somehow masking his brainwaves with Morty's, and Morty's brainwaves are the complete opposite of Rick's, then that implies that their brainwaves are functionally identical.
@@anxietyprimev6983plus if it was because "Rick has genius waves and Morty has idiot waves" I believe that Rick would have just said it. He's an arse. But he said Morty waves. He doesn't want to lie and say stupid waves. But he doesn't want to admit that of all the minds in the universe, Morty is his equal, maybe not in knowledge, but certainly in intelligence, because if he did that then suddenly Rick has to content with the fact that someone as intelligent as him not only exists, but doesn't share his worldview.
I think there was an episode that addressed this? Like, Rick’s narcissistic presence is soul sucking and Morty actually functions much better when Rick is gone-with the implication that Rick deliberately cuts Morty’s confidence to stay above him. I could have completely hallucinated that though, I haven’t seen the show in years
It's interesting that the show often uses Rick to make fun of people like him, but also often enough he's got really deep things to say in a condescending tone. Oh boy, it's almost like they made an actual character!
I think it's funny how contradictory he is, he's so full of shit. In other shows people try to avoid this, but it makes the characters often seem so fake. We all have moments where we are massive hypocrites, we all have flaws.
His character is brilliantly made. He’s an asshole but he’s just sympathetic enough that you feel bad for him when he crash and burns because of his shitty behavior
that feel when you're just as tired of hearing people complain about the "high IQ" fans as much as the high IQ fans existing themselves. for real though, someone needs to sit one of them down and say, just stop pretending you're special for calling them out because you're not. Kind of the point of some of the messaging from the show ay? Lol
Describing Rick as "unwise but intelligent man" is probably the greatest description of him. He isn't very mature, despite being an old man. Choosing to do something because it's cool or it gets him high as opposed to something worthy of the talent.
Well, I haven't encountered this on UA-cam before. I was confused. Actually I didn't find out until it was pointed out that it was part of your name lmao.
No, the only time I've ever actually heard that specific line is in the infamous copypasta. (rant) But, I do understand that there are portions of the fanbase that do legitimately think this, and as such are all about giving each other and themselves one big circlejerk because "haha we smart other dumb". Problem with these people; they legitimately build a large part of their identities on how smart they supposedly are. (/rant)
@@loah_1 I did that too ...for the first 12 years of my life. These people don't acknowledge the badness of things I saw as a problem when I was fucking 12 years old.
I never heard that either. I honestly think even the copypasta was just trolling becuase of how he talks (rick and morty tattoo? only for ladies? idk man) But I'd bet there are actually quite few people who think they're so incredibly smart becuase they watch R & M. It's not such an uncommon mentality among people. It's quite popular among elitists. "You must be dumb because you listen to X type of music and not Y like me who listens to very complicated music like this"
Practically no one says it unironically. It's a big meme but a lot of people act like there's a big group of people with this belief. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the source of the copypasta was ironic too.
in my mind that episode was based on furries and i like that this part of popular culture is included i some form in the show, also the whole "slut" word fixation was funny as fuck and the comedy surrounding its mere utterance, was extremely appropriately scaled up. Then theres also the commentary it made on certain anarchist ideologies and their "open sexuality" culture which, all in all, makes it a good episode for me.
I never understood that whole ideology: "you have to be smart to watch rick and morty" Rick literally treats everyone around him, including the audience, like idiots, its his character, anyone can understand the jokes because it is actively speaking on your level. edit: Guys I know its a copypasta, no one's going to say "you have to understand quantum physics to understand rick and morty" seriously. But the fanbase does perpetuate these views, just look at the subreddit, its toxic.
It's funny how I rarely if ever see fans of the show actually saying anything like that, it's actually only ever from people taking about it "from the outside" telling the fanbase what they are like based off an obvious troll post from 2 years ago.
The whole point of ricks character is that he can make any gadget he wants, create the central finite curve and overcome any problem using technology but he has almost zero emotional intelligence. In the episode where Rick and morty cronenberg earth, that whole problem was started because Rick thinks love is just chemicals and messing around enough can change someone's feelings for someone and, for the first major time in the series, is completely wrong and destroys earth forcing him to move to another dimension. This literally takes no thought that's very obviously stated in the episode so for people to then take anything Rick says like it's the bible and claim to be the biggest fans of the show, haven't actually understood the most basic way you can view Ricks character
He is not wrong at all. The potion works, it does make people fall in love with Morty. It's just that the second potion didn't have the desired effect. Also wtf are you talking about with "love" not being "chemicals". The phenomenon of love is one of your neuroanatomy. You seem to genuinely be stuck in magical thinking.

I'm still in awe how much of puritans Americans are. I would never think that it was something disturbing in that episode. It wasn't the deepest one but one of the funniest in my opinion, with very high rewatchability.
@X X Sex jokes can be funny. In my opinion obviously, they can be boring to you ALWAYS; never minding the context and execution. This was one on the best executed sex joke (if we can call that this way) I've seen in media in a long time. I love how Rick and Morty take something with obvious popcultural connotations (dragons: noble, clever, strong, manly) and turn it into something ridiculously opposite, but not always in a way you should expect. I love how they used Rick's bonding with dragon as a form of 'cheating' on Morty. I loved how they used dragons as a representants of the different 'branches' of LGBTQ community (or I don't know, Tumblr forums), plus they added one that is hated by others and needs to be 'cancelled', this was so true. B-plot with Jerry and cat was also fun. I just don't see other reasons for people hating it that puritanism, because it was clearly fun and smart episode, just a little bit on the wacky side. I don't see anyone honestly saying it wasn't funny, to say that you have to be fixated on your 'ewww, gross' mindset, and to have that you have to be kind of puritan. And I know lots of people criticize this episode just for that, so my conclusion was it.
Your video got me thinking as to what constitutes as smart sci-fi, or smart comedic sci-fi. My first encounters with sci-fi that would be considered smart were Frank Herbert's Dune series, Arthur C. Clarke's works, Orwell's 1984, and Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues. My first encounters with clever comedic science fiction were Spaceballs and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The most intellectual comedic sci-fi I read was by Stanislaw Lem, a Polish sci-fi writer. His works can be described as a bizarre, Eastern-European blend of Asimov's robot fiction, Candide, Gulliver's Travels, Baron Munchausen, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Douglas Adams, and Dostoevsky mixed with heavy duty philosophical commentary. He managed make serious points and at the same time make them funny. Kurt Vonnegut, though not strictly sci-fi, also managed to combine sci-fi with sharp satire, and managed to make insightful points through the science-fiction in Slaughterhouse Five or through Kilgore Trout's bizarre stories. It wasn't until reading Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness did i first encounter the concept of cosmic forces being too big for human minds to fathom, an idea which Rick and Morty incorporates to some extent. Star Trek and Doctor Who were the kind of sci-fi that combined heavy duty sci-fi concepts with morality plays, mystery plays, and theatrical melodrama. Star Wars was the kind of sci-fi that combined pulp serial sci-fi with classical mythology, Zen Buddhist philosophy, and a combination of Japanese warrior and Shaolin priest disciplines. Back to the Future combined elements of time travel stories and The Twilight Zone with straightforward adventure storytelling. With Rick and Morty, I always see it as following the same vein as previous parody cartoon shows, like The Tick, The Venture Bros., and Sea Lab 2021. It particularly reminds me of The Venture Bros., in that it parodies many established cartoons and sci-fi, but also manages to be its own thing even as it parodies. I think the brilliance of Ricky and Morty lies with how it chose to parody Back to the Future and Doctor Who, in addition with the countless other works of sci-fi and horror that it parodies. Instead of doing just straightforward adult-oriented parody, the creators went further by dissecting and exploring narcissism, alcoholism, addiction, depression, trauma, self-exploration, identity, and responsibility. In regards to the character of Rick: in one sense, he's the kind of character who I'd want on my side, and who supreme intelligence and unpredictability are useful against various villainous characters. In another sense, Rick is so self-destructive, unpredictable, and unable to take responsibility, that he ends up endangering the lives of those he cares about more than he protects them. Rick is sort of a variation of the crafty mischievous trickster figure, like Punch or Jack, but in this case is plagued by an overload of unresolved problems, and tries to numb himself constantly because of those problems. In a way, Rick and Morty itself is an sci-fi morality play where the trickster protagonist, and everyone else around him, are steadily dissected and unraveled more and more as the show progresses.
18:09 , in the background of the right side: This is why I love the show. The story is so stupid, and dumb yet they manage to cram little references in there to all sorts of shit. Shrodinger’s cat for example here. The cat’s there, but in a different 50/50 scenario, it isn’t.
MJ Animates The copypasta itself was made ironically. The writer didn’t mean anything he wrote seriously. But it was also made to satires THAT specific part of the fanbase.
As far as the sci-fi humor goes Futurama did it better. And there are a lot more jokes based on actual science in it. Examples: One episode Fry delivers pizza and beer to a tv broadcasting station, and spills beer on the panel, messing up the signal broadcasting a court drama show, 1000 years later, on a planet 1000 light years away from Earth, aliens are watching a "new episode" of said court drama, when the signal is suddenly lost. Another episode in black and white, to parody an old 1920s cartoon, Fry invents a new color to the rainbow. The joke here being that there are certain wave lengths of light the naked human eye cannot physically see, like inferred, gamma, etc. So we have no idea what this color is supposed to look like, and you just have to try and use your imagination. And lastly, one that may surprise some people is Professor Farnsworth's invention of the smelliscope. Which allows people to smell outer space. Fun fact, astronomers were actually able to determine that one nebula smells like raspberries and rum! So while the smelliscope itself runs on cartoon logic, the idea itself of what does space smell like, is based on something that can actually be observed.
Yeah okay, you say that Futurama has done it better based on actual science. So tell me, how did those aliens from your example travel to Earth in almost no time to demand new episodes of Single Female Lawyer if they were 1000 light years away from it? And if they could travel almost instantly through universe, why wouldn´t they just put some "teleport" like machine close enough to earth so they can watch the show in real time? I am not saying that Futurama does not have any great concepts and ideas, but claiming that it is based more on science than Rick and Morty is false. There is as much made up things in Futurama as in R&M, but both of those shows are great for sure! :)
Don't forget about when the creators used the show to create a new mathematical proof with the episode where everybody changes minds with each others bodies!
I kid you not, he turned himself into a pickle! Funniest shit I ever saw man!

Omg, please make more of these, like in depth analyses for episodes- the recent rick and morty season revival sent me into an existential crisis and left me feeling like there were meanings I've missed in between the fun idiocy of the show. I really enjoyed this input. If you look at Dan Harmon's video about the 'search for meaning', it covers some of the same stuff. There are people on both sides of the spectrum who take the show too seriously. On the one side you have people arguing that it's dangerous because Rick always wins and it sets a bad example for people, on the other side you have people over analyzing the fairly shallow points the show raises about reality. I just enjoy it for what it's primarily about, a sci-fi adventure with funny characters, crazy scenarios, great jokes and geode.
Additionally another reason why I love this show is because my brother has an IQ of 73, and sometimes these jokes can fly over its head, things could be moving too fast or what not, but there's enough of toilet humor and all kinds of other jokes to keep him laughing. This way we all enjoy the episodes together.
@@ThatBlueSkull I made no reference to my IQ, or myself in any way my guy. I even said that the show has tones toilet humor. That's kinda the opposite of what thoes pastas make fun of.
I think the problem with analyzing Rick and Morty is it goes into pretty basic concepts that if you think you're rare for understanding then you probably have the r/iamverysmart type of personality. plus it gets away a lot with "referencing" other works that younger audiences could instead misunderstand as being original.
Season 4 so far is basically just parodies of other popular stuff and I hope that trend does not last. Rick and morty is at its best when they do stuff I've never even thought of before
The first season parodied and referenced other stuff all the time. I thought that was going to be the explicit premise of the show. For a while, it even made me think of the writing as lazy.
Actually the citizens don't know why they're back to producing power for Rick's car, but the scientist doesn't want everyone to know the awful truth, that their beloved creator doesn't care for them
Why am i just now finding you?! Seriously how come youtubes quality creators keep falling through the cracks and found sometimes years later, while garbage thrives?... Guess i don't have the IQ to understand that concept... Either way... Subbed :) awsome analysis videos dude!
That car battery episode is basically what the Mayans and Incans and Aztecs believed in. Their gods just need them for the blood they can give them. So, they rather sacrificed prisoners of war, and waged more war. They did not love their gods, they worked hard and killed people so the gods will still have use for them. However, what made me start to hate the show was probably that episode. Because Rick could have just as well created some means to power his car without enslaving a whole universe - and he actually destroys a whole planet full of sentient people just to spite his creations. He is incredibly shallow, evil and heartless. Hard to root for a protagonist like that, and as the show goes on, most of the other characters become unlikable evil people too. Heck, Futurama had the same problem too, but was more comedic and the main characters usually just hurt each other or a few people by their misdeeds. (Well, except Zeff Brannigan).
Minor nitpicks: the universe in his car battery enslaved universes in its batteries too. Also while his car was sitting in a parking lot on some planet it brokered a peace deal between warring factions (of people and giant spiders). 🤭
So I’m very new to this show-only seen the pilot and recently the AS April Fools special. I was vaguely aware it had “nerdy humor” which means high concepts mixed in with low brow humor. I could see that in the pilot episode but didn’t think much of it. Then I saw the special, and I remember staring off into space after finishing it. Without spoiling what the episode was about, it basically explained gaslighting and how a “fake” person can hurt you, something I’ve been going to therapy for the past few years for. And this show summed up everything I was working through in 20 minutes! The last line “I’m sorry you only have happy memories of me” gave me a strange emotional pang that I don’t even know how to explain. It’s incredible!
I got a bit tired by season 3 of counting how many times people told others to f-- off. Telling people to f-- off for 30 minutes isn’t super interesting.
I found its approach to real world problems similar to South Park, it can take depression and break it down to satirical joke.. which is an amazing way of dealing with said issue.
The fact you haven't experienced any of it is highly questionable considering everybody else during 2015-2017 did. I can provide you at least 150 examples of it.
I'm really sad you didn't talk about Slut Dragons and newer (season 4) episodes. I simply couldn't find any depth in those episodes, both the writing and the execution just felt mundane. I understand they wanted to make an over-the-top caricature/parody of the fantasy and heist genres, but IMO they simply ended up with 2 of the most boring episodes yet in the show. And the toilet episode showing off Rick as a "good guy who doesn't kill" seemed like utter nonsense, considering how we've already seen him killing entire civilizations.
Binged a fair few videos recently, both old and new, and I would be extremely succumbed to see a video (or after the current season of R&M is over) where you deep dive into not only how the show has changed since this video you produced, but also how, if it has, affected your personal worldview, purely because a lot of the commentary you've made on the episodes you did, I had similar thoughts and would be grateful to see another articulation, especially in the meta sense (very in line with the show anyways), of the content the show has produced. also fuck proper punctuation, you can work out what I mean and the intent in which I'm writing this comment with. hope you take the time to read it jay, have a nice day!

Rick wasn't created to pass butter. He has the freedom to choose his own purpose in life. However, he acts like he doesn't because that's easier for him.
Acknowledging that he is not in the same position as his butter robot would mean acknowledging that his actions are his own & that he should maybe take responsibility or feel guilty for his choices.
Much like our capitalist society

The actual great irony of this show and it's captivated audience is that the fans think they're all "Rick" when they're actually all "Jerry".
that do be how it do be
Haha I don't thinm I'm a tv show character that's just weird
nah bro at least jerry has at least 2 brain cells

@@ninjaturtlefan2003
By character definition Jerry is unaware of his issues.
Could you elaborate? lol that sentence ran on too long you done confused me. The creators pretended or the audience?

It's true in that it stops people from detecting him but it's not because he is stupid it's just his entire personality in general from memory

"Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave [and true]?"
18:09 , in the background of the right side:
This is why I love the show. The story is so stupid, and dumb yet they manage to cram little references in there to all sorts of shit. Shrodinger’s cat for example here. The cat’s there, but in a different 50/50 scenario, it isn’t.
I think that was mentioned in the episod
"You can't Control Peoples minds"
Pavlovian Conditioning: ...
Sunquad Propaganda
Fuck m8 why cant i stop salivating now
i like pavlova it tastes nice
Jay: People who were homeless are now philosophers
Diogenes: Is it too much to ask for both?
Overrated. Any nihilistic dick can constantly try to poke holes in other people's ideas.
Pretty sure the "To be fair..." copypasta was originally made ironically
@Dottoman it is not tho, at least not by the fanbase. It is mainly other people saying the fanbase is all like this based off that 1 dumb post.
@Dottoman I have NEVER ONCE seen it repeated unironically
@Dottoman I'd argue that you can't use any copypasta unironically, unless you are using it in a quote or likewise
MJ Animates
The copypasta itself was made ironically. The writer didn’t mean anything he wrote seriously.
But it was also made to satires THAT specific part of the fanbase.
As far as the sci-fi humor goes Futurama did it better. And there are a lot more jokes based on actual science in it.
Examples:
One episode Fry delivers pizza and beer to a tv broadcasting station, and spills beer on the panel, messing up the signal broadcasting a court drama show, 1000 years later, on a planet 1000 light years away from Earth, aliens are watching a "new episode" of said court drama, when the signal is suddenly lost.
Funniest shit I ever saw man!
i never understand how just because a small amount of the community said that "you have to be smart to understand the show", it somehow makes the whole community toxic and the same thinks the same.
it also is a joke, i think there are very few people that actually think that way
@Alex Meggoe *small amount of community making large amount look toxic?*
Welcome to Creepypasta/Slenderverse lol
(Also, love your profile pic)
Last time is was this early, jay was still making the Minecraft maze
"High concept sci-fi, I'm dad"
I love this joke
The "you gotta have a high IQ" copypasta is a joke. It was never meant to be serious.
It was a joke
lacintag
Yes it is a joke. But it’s also hyperbolic satire of a specific subsection of the fanbase
@@TAK-yj4hj Yes... That's the joke. It wouldn't be funny if it wasn't making fun of the fans. Do you think that because it's satirizing a group of people, it's not a joke anymore..?
I always identified with Summer. "Bitch, my generation gets traumatized for breakfast."
"I'm just trying to figure out why you would do this. why ANYONE would do this?" "The reason someone would do this, if they could, which they can't would be because they can, which they cant."
I'm pretty sure that one comment is actually written by someone making fun of those kinds of people oh and the pickle rick guy did it on purpose to be a meme
Not that this changes anything really
I'm sure you're right on both counts, but they are satirizing a portion of the fanbase, so they still pertain to Jay's point.
I really think that they are extremely talented writers with personal views that are very substantial, even with the pure dumb content and jokes. Thanks for making this.
14:50 amazing ad placement. Jay says "let's talk about..." and then a double ad drops. First for Sensodyne toothpaste and then for the upcoming new episode of Rick and Morty.
I sometimes click on a video and find myself checking how long I've been watching. Most seem to drag, you think the video is over, finished, only to find its not even a third the way through. Well, not with this video, literally flew by. Thought id only been watching for a few mins and it was nearly half way. TLDR..... this video flew by because it was so good! Thanks jay ☺️
Jerry’s new slogan “hungry for in depth analysis”..... it’s a work and progress
On next EFAP, they are going to analyze the THEMES of Rick and Morty.
48 hour video incoming analyzing this 20 Min video
I think the problem with analyzing Rick and Morty is it goes into pretty basic concepts that if you think you're rare for understanding then you probably have the r/iamverysmart type of personality. plus it gets away a lot with "referencing" other works that younger audiences could instead misunderstand as being original.
Season 4 so far is basically just parodies of other popular stuff and I hope that trend does not last. Rick and morty is at its best when they do stuff I've never even thought of before
I agree with you, but that snake episode made me laugh for so long. Now we need more serious stuff in 2nd part of season 4.
The first season parodied and referenced other stuff all the time.
I thought that was going to be the explicit premise of the show. For a while, it even made me think of the writing as lazy.
And yet it’s still so much more enjoyable than season 3
Actually the citizens don't know why they're back to producing power for Rick's car, but the scientist doesn't want everyone to know the awful truth, that their beloved creator doesn't care for them
It's one of those shows which main problem is their fandoms
That’s pretty much why we love it so much 🤷🏻♀️
8:10 For some reason, I have the urge to buy a cat, subscribe, and make a Twitter account. I have no idea why though.
But what if the writing isn't even amazing?
"RiCk AnD mOrTy Is A dUmB sHoW"
**Rick and Morty fans to Jay:** So you have chosen.. Death
Fully throated lol at this. You win 1 Geode, which is equal to like 20 internets, I’ve heard.
Interesting, I've never thought of that episode in that way
So there was this scientist named rick. And he turned himself into pickle. Funniest shit I've ever seen
I've never heard people say you have to be smart to enjoy the show.
You’ve clearly never spoken to a _Rick and Morty_ fan before.
@@BlackCover95 I am a rick and morty fan and i have many friends who are rick and morty fans.
It's a meme tbh, no one actually says it seriously.
