Out of all the mh content creators your energy, enthusiasm, and general excitement for the game is unmatched. Your love for monster hunter shows in all your videos which is contagious.
how crazy are elder dragons going to be? 1. The Rey Dau I feel is at least in part responsible for the electric storm, meaning its mere presence has a pronounced effect on the environment. 2. We know lore wise, an elder dragon in any location is such a cataclysmic threat to that ecosystem that it has to be driven away or slain to safeguard that ecosystem with other monsters like Nergigante in world for elder dragons that flock to a spot of land near the end of their life, or Malzeno in Sunbreak for the Gaiasmagorm and Qurio to be "nature's answer" to an elder dragon's presence. And Wilds have demonstrated that the environment will have a drastic change based on whatever caused its storms, so how large of an effect will an elder's dragon's presence have on that particular mechanic? An example will be like Teostra making a place so hot that a cool drink is mandatory, and fires are everywhere due to dry grass or whatever with fleeing wildlife. I am genuinely excited if small details like this change how a hunt is approached because you're fighting the temperamental environment just as much as the monster itself.
Rey Dau has been confirmed to be the other way around. It's not that it makes the Sandtide, it's adapted to take advantage /of/ the Sandtide, storing the lightning and static electricity produced to use in its own hunts (also other stuff, like its camouflage, heavier body, inset eyes, reflect this but haven't been explicitly confirmed obviously).
5:30 Finally, I'm so happy and even more excited now :D I played a female character in World, my first Monster Hunter game, because I tried to make a hunter look kinda like me. I saw a youtuber whose character wearing a flamboyant and cool musketeer armour set. So I looked it up and what to grind, without seeing the female version I was so disappointed and heartbroken that the awesome musketeer armour I was grinding looked like a flight attendant... So this is what I wanted to most as I love the franchise, especially as a tomboy. Also Wilds looks so incredibly good, there's so much to be excited about ^^
I think yoh missed one very important thing here 30:10. The food model matches the ingredient in the UI, this imply that if you choose different ingredient you will have different looking food. Which means that MHWilds is an actual cooking simulator now, yessss.
I’m pretty sure the point of making the health draw your eye is so you can keep track of it, because I can’t count how many times my brother has died in hunt just because he wasn’t paying attention to his health
The NPC hunters actually carve from the monsters now. That was one of the things that bothered me from Sunbreak. They never carved, they never sharpened, like obviously they didn't need to, but for immersion, they should.
I want to point that that the fur+ of the broken wounds might be because this is an alpha doshaguma so hunting alphas or normals ones might have different mats not sure but a possibility
There are definitely some parts of the UI that are nice like being able to see the exact time left on the quest without going into a menu and the hovering over a monster on the map displays a Strength level, some lore, and what looks like the amount of time left before that monster leaves the locale. I do wonder what the red timer in the top left is counting down though.

Do yall think it would be easier now to farm rare materials from monsters as you can see by chosing the quest on 31:42? I personally wouldnt like it to be easier cause i love that grind in MH
8:50 you don’t need the mantle to sneak attack, it makes it essentially guaranteed though. You can crouch, and as long as the monster isn’t aware of you, you can get the sneak attack prompt.
I've heard that there is a delivery system to your seikret in the field so that you don't even have to restock your items from a camp. I think it's a great idea, maybe we could have a choice of fully customizable delivery satchels. Then we can pick the items and weapons to be delivered to us in the field depending on the next hunt.
Nice catch on the weapon skills and capture net. Aww thank god the capture net back i loved decorating my room. This is why I watch your channel. You notice things that others did not point out.
Just a little detail I noticed during the newest trailer. We saw Olivia at the very beginning of the first full trailer they released, when the Hunter comes on deck on the sand ship two Hunter greet him and she’s one of them
We've seen that the health bar animation goes crazy during certain monster moves, it's my theory that it does that only when a monster is going for a move that you can go into a clash struggle with. Having that cue would be useful.
When they did the Lance here I was disappointed as a Lance user. I do wish they give the option to Shield Bash when doing a Dash attack with Lance. Just like they gave you a option with Shield Charge in Rise/Sunbreak to Finishing Thrust or Shiekd Bash
I am really excited about this game from all the news we have gotten so far. I really love the timer on the status's myself, it is nice information to have. Though my take on the wiggly health bar is I see what they were going for the heart beat, but! Let it change color, because it does seem conflicting with it still being green no matter how fast your heart beat is. Having the color change from say green to yellow to red to match how fast your heart beat is might clear up confusion.
i love the little touch that you can edit decos from the basic change equipment menu, maybe im a derp and just dont know how to do that but im replaying world on pc currently and every time i get a new core armor piece and have to chang all my existing loadouts and decos its a massive pain in the ass. switching between change equip, change loadout, change deco, change equip save loadout, rinse repeat for 14 different weapons is a nightmare
While I was watching the livestream, during the part where we saw the hunter presets and they were scrolling through them to just show them off.. I noticed.. while looking at the female hunter's thighs.. respectfully of course.. for research or something.. That some of the presets thighs were thicker than others. When going back to make sure I really saw that and not just an idle animation changing, it looked like their upper arms were slightly different as well.. Could have been a trick of my eyes but could we no also have some minor control over more of the body in character creation?
The health bar change is actually pretty handy, because you can clearly see it with your peripheral vision when you’re focused on the fight where is in monster Hunter world I would have to take my eyes away from the fight to look at the health bar… I think it’s a great change
I like the Health bar thing because that shows the hunter's instincts kicking in, their heart rate going up because the hunter themselves know something is going to happen. Im just too excited for Wilds man
Firstly, what an absolutely amazing bit of gameplay! I can’t wait for this game! Thank you as always Josh for giving us your perspective! Secondly, imagine if the bigger bug monster (if it does indeed have a bigger version) is like some kind of ant lion inspired neopteron that has evolved to hunt the balahara or something like that.
About skills. It'd make sense to me that skills that should be weapon only applies to weapons and other ones applies to armor. For example, a sword with affinity, quick sheat and stuff, and the gun with skills for guns only. And your armor gives "your" skills, like fast food, more health, fast recovery, etc. That way you can have universal skills for your body, and each weapon will have unique skills that won't affect the other one to prevent you being too op. Of course, I'd do it that way. Like "body" skills on armor and "weapon skills" on ever weapon you carry.
The flashing health bar, the warning before a big attack, and being able to SOS offline and get NPC hunters with you? This is all just Monster Hunter being more accessible. More people will be playing this now cause it won't be as intimidating for a new player anymore and I'm all for it. Also more audio and visual cues is good if you wanna play with no UI.

So basically, there is no difference between running a male character vs. a female character and no reason to have a second save to get the other armors that belong to the other gender. I am just hoping that identity politics and esg haven't poisoned my favorite series.
I’m glad you seemingly don’t have to kill small monsters for slinger ammo and what not. You may still need to kill them for parts, but I like this new way of doing things
10:30 I actually like the fact that you get drawn to your healthbar.
Could be that i'm just stupid sometimes, but i had quiet a few moments where i fainted because i, for whatever reason, paid no attention to my healthbar.
Yes, it could be distracting for some, but i think its something you get used to
Slinger does indeed play a part in the core part of battle. It looks like World 2 and i love it.
About the mounted finisher attack, they said on the stream that there's actually 2 finishers, one normal and one if there's a wound on the monster where you do the finisher, the one we see here at 15:37 is the one on the wound. And tha's for all the weapons ofc.
There is no need for judgement. Catching creatures and filling your room with little guys is one of my favorite parts of mh world.
That starting Palico image. Definitely going to be a Palico I make. And it will have the sweetest voice. Looks like a menace, but is a marshmellow.
I cant wait to spend 1200 hours of my life inside this video game.
It'd be great to see Hollow join some hunts with you and Cotton
"there's a visual effect for telegraphing a big attack"
charge blade players : easier guard point it is
I’m pretty sure the point of making the health draw your eye is so you can keep track of it, because I can’t count how many times my brother has died in hunt just because he wasn’t paying attention to his health
I need them to release this as a digital demo at the end of gamescom. Pleaaase
I feel for Cotton
WOW I love the new UI for health and stamina! So clean!
A cool little detail I noticed is that Ray Dau’s wing pattern resembles that of a storm from a storm report picture
I really like how the time left in the hunt is displayed on the hud and tastefully too
All these teasers are making me feral
The capture net was the best way to fish
Yeah, my life is officially over for a WHILE when this game comes out.
The NPC hunters actually carve from the monsters now. That was one of the things that bothered me from Sunbreak. They never carved, they never sharpened, like obviously they didn't need to, but for immersion, they should.
I hope we get snake wyverns like Najarala.
Also, the little bug is called a Bulaqhi
I want to point that that the fur+ of the broken wounds might be because this is an alpha doshaguma so hunting alphas or normals ones might have different mats not sure but a possibility
Weapons Skills are quite an interesting addition for Wilds, I can imagine the amount of builds that can be made and customized due to that feature.
Yess!!! catching endemic life is back. (I know not confirmed i just need it to be)
I can’t wait to chill after a few big hunts catching rare and elusive endemic life to decorate my house.
What house? Where do the animals we enslave go? And where is poogie? ☹️
@@NOTHING-AT-ALL. after I enslave them I will force them to work in the farm for thousands of hours without rest and food. That will teach them for being fake and not building me a house so I can use them as decoration
Love the detail of your hunter being covered in sand when you roll around in it and it quickly disappearing because the sand falls off
Literally no one played Insect Glaive. All I see was LS, GS, GL, Lance, Bow, SA, CB, LBG. *Sad bug noise*
There was Charge Blade gameplay, I missed it ?
@@sternritternovadRurikhan played charge blade
@@sternritternovad Yes I've seen people played it. Some Japanese channels, Ruri played it as well in his latest stream
Ikr where is my IG gameplay and Switch Axe
Lol que the sad violin 😢
Every time we get more info on this game I somehow get even more hyped. The armor no longer being gender locked is so exciting. I immediately thought, "YES! I don't have to have impractical thighs-out armor on my character anymore! ... COTTON CAN WEAR SKIMPY ARMOR LIKE HE WANTED! 😂"
Everytime new monster hunter news drop I see myself back to your channel and it feels like a family reunion! Im so hyped for this one!
Do yall think it would be easier now to farm rare materials from monsters as you can see by chosing the quest on 31:42?
I personally wouldnt like it to be easier cause i love that grind in MH
Wouldn't get hung up on UI the game isn't coming out till 2025 so its one the things that can most definitely change.
Love how the female, and male character can swap between both Armor models Major quality of life I am diggin that addition.
It's not Doshugama, it's Doshaguma! Lol, great video, I'm just poking fun
8:50 you don’t need the mantle to sneak attack, it makes it essentially guaranteed though. You can crouch, and as long as the monster isn’t aware of you, you can get the sneak attack prompt.
You misses that when cooking, every specific ingredient is animated in
I've heard that there is a delivery system to your seikret in the field so that you don't even have to restock your items from a camp. I think it's a great idea, maybe we could have a choice of fully customizable delivery satchels. Then we can pick the items and weapons to be delivered to us in the field depending on the next hunt.
i just noticed on bottom right theres a timer when they open the item bar, and i think thats a timer for the mantles! thats awesome if thats it
Nice catch on the weapon skills and capture net. Aww thank god the capture net back i loved decorating my room. This is why I watch your channel. You notice things that others did not point out.
Just a little detail I noticed during the newest trailer. We saw Olivia at the very beginning of the first full trailer they released, when the Hunter comes on deck on the sand ship two Hunter greet him and she’s one of them
You were so right to freak out about the capture, one of the best features of world was looking for all my happy little friends 13:12
Oooohhhhh this is a good indication as to what the open demo will be and im excited when we get our chance
I rely on you guys and Coromin for MH info! Thank you
Does Coromin have a translator?
I loved using the capture net to collect creatures and set them up only to rarely ever visit my room. Im glad its back
Man where does Josh find the u letter in Dosha and two a letter guma. Jasu is such a fun guy, poking fun at Cuttan's suffering.
The capture net was great, i love that they are combining the endemic life mechanics from both the previous titles.
Great video as always cannot wait for this game!
Man I'm right there with you. Capture Net Hype!!!!!!!!
I stopped watching any other mh wilds videos to have the news by your channel, the vibe and hype are so positive and energetic .
Oh my Gog!!! The capture net!!!!!! I will be so happy to be able to collect pets again!!!
