When I get something off the wall like that, I call a sub out to bid it and then tack on a little bit extra. Then I let the sub do the work and make a little bit of money for myself. I mainly do that with large soffit and fascia jobs and drainage pipes. I work solo and the jobs would just take me too long to do by myself to make it worthwhile for me. If it’s a job where I could get screwed down the line because someone else did shady work, I just stay away from it(ie. roofs, structural work).
That's a good idea. I'm gonna have to think about that. I get nervous subbing anything out because if I'm putting my name on it I would hate for the sub to do a horrible job. But definitely something to look into!
If I have a lot of gutter jobs lined up I’ll just stay with what I know best. Something like that I would walk away from or just do the gutters and downspouts. Silica dust is incredibly hazardous to your lungs it doesn’t take much to do irreversible damage to your lungs. Research silica dust.
I would say if you dont have the right equipment for it, you might not make much or anything off it. Or sub it out to a good concrete guy that has the equipment to do it. It wont be. Cheap thou!!!
