Shopping For Vintage Easter Decor

- Today I’m going to take you along while we go antiquing for some vintage Easter decor but we’re also going to find some new items to add in as well. We’re also going to set a vintage tablescape.
My favorite find has to be you and your channel! Your personality is so infectious. You just made my rainy Monday here in the midwest so much better. Especially you hugging your " golden award". Very clever. Thank you Becky

Wow, what a week you had! Glad you could end it on a happier note by enjoying antiquing with your family. I enjoy seeing you go through the store and letting us feel like we are there too. I love all your finds. Those plates your friend sent you are so perfect for spring and definitely match the afghan. And something about that little green easter paper plate just makes me smile. Can't wait to see it displayed. You are so sweet, I don't see how anyone could be rude to you. But you were rewarded (or awarded 😃) later with your beautiful vase. The plates from Monica look like daffodils. The yellow and green with the afghan is so pretty! Love those colors for spring and Easter! Sweet things.
I think I kept calling them tulips didn't I? I had a daffodil in my brain but my mouth was in another place. LOL!

You found some little treasures at the antique store I love the follow alongs when you go shopping...I have different things mixed together like new and old I think most people do have that style...I love your vase so glad you were able to get one and those dishes are your style and that is so funny you found one at the goodwill...can't wait till the Easter craft you are going to do...love the crafting videos...

I had a vase like that in green growing up. Lol I wish I had it now. Everything is so pretty. Love card table and setting.
That vase in green would fetch a pretty penny right now. The amber is not as desirable to most collectors they like the colored ones. But the amber will always be my favorite color glass. More for me.

Lots of memories! My parents had many of the things you like.
My parents married in 1956. They had 50's, 60's, and 70's items and furniture in their home.
When I was 18, I had a part-time job while attending college. I worked at the Sears catalog counter. I remember taking orders for the mushroom kitchen ware, mushroom kitchen curtains, and towels. Some customers decorated their whole kitchen with that theme.

I knew as soon as you said Sears I was going to ask you about the mushroom set. I saw a set of canisters in an antiques store last month and they were asking 225.00 for them.

Those Easter ornaments are adorable. I’ve always liked honeycomb items but struggle to display them. Your blanket can be used with the St Patrick’s decor along with your new plates. So glad you found another one! I also bought the same exact plate at my goodwill last week!

I love following along with you in the thrift and antique stores. It is one of my favourite activities, so when I watch you, it is like I am there with you, except it is much better because I get to listen to the lovely music instead of the noise of the store. You had some awesome finds for good prices. The prices have gone up everywhere so it is getting harder to find good deals. Your card table setting was precious, I would love to have tea at such a pretty table. Can’t wait for your Easter tree,I do love your St Patrick’s tree 🍀🍀🍀

I know I love them, authentic vintage Easter is so hard to find. I'm glad to be able to find something to decorate with even if it is new.
Yes, I like going with you to different stores. It gives me an idea of what is offered in your area that may not be common in mine. I hate it when I find something cute and search for price and it says “NFS.” So many nice things! You do not sound stingy or selfish. I tell my son to let Mama enjoy the item while alive and then he can enjoy it. Depending upon the pout, I typically keep the item.
Haha, that's funny. I have given her just about all the vintage in her apartment but I am going to have to think hard about my mushroom containers. I was sad about that NFS item too, AND the blue egg holder that was being held for someone. I tried to get them to call the person to see if she still wanted it but she would never answer. I had to walk out without it .
You have great taste and earned my subscribe by finding all the cool owls. They are my favorite home decor theme. I have lots and lots. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Welcome Cinda, I'm so glad to have you as part of the family. A "tad" high is an understatement. As much as I love antiques stores I usually leave wanting something that I couldn't afford. The prices in some of these places is absurd.
@@kimalonzo3363 I order everything I need. There is a lady that checks my mail every couple of weeks. Other than that, it's just me and my doggie, Hannah. I go weeks never talking to another human being...or seeing one. My husband passed 8 years ago and my precious son took his life 2 years ago. So I feel as tho I am drowning at times...my foot needs surgery but there is no guarantee that will work, so amputation would be the answer. I think NOT....I have enough to deal with. I enjoy the shopping parts. So much green glass! You love the amber stuff-I’m totally into the green! It doesn’t match my Pfaltzgraff Yorktowne, but I don’t care! I inherited the full set of thrifted Yorktowne from my son’s former fiancé, so that’s why I have blue dishes instead of green, but like I said, I don’t care!
I thing blue and green would be beautiful together. But I also like to mix and match things.
My mother would never allow cards in our house either. Therefore I never learned to play! lol
